I live in the worst area ever!

The answer here is pretty obvious. You need flamethrowers.

It's intended to flambe carjackers, but you could always hook it up to a motion or tilt-sensing trigger.

Apparently Clayton Co, GA has gotten pretty bad. So many homes for sale because of gangs that some agencies aren't taking any more listings. You know, because they can't sell them.

IDK WTF happened there, but I'm glad I come from the Northside.
LoL - how do you know?

All the pics of heaven are a bunch of whitebread preppies sitting on clouds and strumming on harps.

I'll take hell with the hot-ass naked demon babes and whaling rock guitars!
I remember that from an episode of Married With Children.

I think Satan was one of the guitarists from Z.Z. Top, or someshit -- looked like him, anyway.

LOL I was thinking of the Lords of Acid CD covers - but that totally sounds like something MWC would do.

Heck - even Disney gets in on the act, Fantasia's "Night on Bald Mountain" kicks the hell out of that Ave Maria sequence that follows.

I dunno. I'm kinda partial towards fast-talkin' James Woods providing the voice for Hades.

Wow, some kids popped your overqualified tires on your nice car. Did you just move to America? cause you just described every single town.

:-({|=
Actually, I think Liberia is the worst place to live:

How'd you like to look out your window and see that every day?

Why the hell is he wearing a life jacket?!
Yeah, the situation in Liberia is sad and IMO we have more of a repsonsibility to help them than another other country in the world. That is for another topic though.

Expound?

guile's offline, but I can partially answer that....Liberia was a state made by the U.S. government for freed slaves. They don't have oil and their people don't fit into the currently held terrorist archetype though.

>_> I live in a good part of So Cal. However durning the early 1990's it was quite popular to slash tires. I know my dad parked on the side of the house witch is another street since I live on the corner. Had he parked on the other street he would have got them slashed as someone did it to all the cars on the block.

IMO the United States has "helped" other countries enough.

After looking at the countries that the United States has "helped", would you honestly want USA "help" if you were in another country?

If I was in Liberia, I'd take just about anyone's help.
LoL - for the most part I have it good.

I get annoyed by the little stuff - like this couple in front of me at chipotle who couldn't stop making out in line, and then took 10 minutes to order because they had to have a convo in Spanish about the 10 fuckING ITEMS ON THE MENU. I mean seriously - there are 10 items on the menu - if you don't want a burrito or tacos then get the fuck out of the restaurant!
Really they only have 4 items; burrito, burrito bol, soft tacos, hard tacos.
But yea I get what your saying.

Judging from this thread most people hate where they live.

90% of people hate where they live. They could be living in paradise but they'll find something to complain about. It's not where you live, but how you live that will make your life better.

Just to be clear, I love where I live.

I'm annoyed by some of the people (mostly tourons)

I like where I live...I just hate some of my neighbors.

And my list of the worst cities to live in the US would be:

Flint, Michigan
Washington, D.C.
Detroit, MI (although they have a better music scene there than most places)
Reno, NV

Reno is a nice place to visit but I would not want to live there. The city streets are pretty ghetto.
Cleveland 20+ years ago probably should've been tops on the list. You know, when we were catching bodies of water on fire and such. But now, it's really nice down town. Of course, some areas are kinda rough. My mom does some work with African refugees in downtown Cleveland and those neighborhoods, while not exactly top-notch, aren't anything that I'm scared to be in, or even have my Mom go to on her own.

The rejuvenation of the Flats really helped the whole of Cleveland come up out of its cesspool status.
Thats true. I grew up in Cleveland and I saw it change from the "Mistake on the Lake" to a decent city. The big turnaround happened when Mayor White was in office.

Now its going through a rough patch though because there is high unemployment and high crime but it that is a temporary situtation.

I agree with suggestions to video them. Maybe you can get the apartment complex or their insurance department to go in with you on the cost. It would be worth it to me to bust those little punks.

my chipotle qualms are with the highly picky people who need to design their burrito perfectly down to the very last detail. "I'll have a burrito, a little bit of pinto beans, WAIT too much, can you take some off? I'll also have a small scoop of black beans, some steak, chicken...whoops, I forgot I'm a vegetarian, can you take the steak and chicken off? oh, I'll have fajita veggies...is there meat in the fajita veggies? and ummm...throw some shredded pork on there...is the shredded pork made out of TVP? no? oh, then take it off of there. I don't eat stuff that has had meat touching it, so throw that away and lets start over..."

other than having many bad chipotle orderers, I love my town :)

"whoops, I forgot I'm a vegetarian, can you take the steak and chicken off?" :D sadly I can totally see this happening, hazards of living in a nice area, getting in line behind the clueless hipster. Funny thing is, these idiots seem to migrate towards Chipotle, I rarely run into the same issues at Subway, Sbarro or the takeout Chinese place at the mall.

Have you been to DC recently? There are still plently of bad areas but in the past few years gentrification and house prices have gone through the roof (the new stadium certainly won't hurt). And we no longer have a crackhead mayor :D. I'd put down Baltimore way before DC (a city I love, but if you start investigating you gotta admit there are some rough parts!)
Is that Patrick Ewing?
I think it's Carl Lewis...So thats what he's been up to...
Well this thread went from 6 pages down to 4 someone do a little moderating?
Hmmm, I can only imagine why. Let me guess, some people were bringing race into the topic, perhaps? I'm betting there were a lot of 'Ninjas' showing up in this topic...what a bogus excuse. Ultimately, it's a question of poverty, although that also is not a valid excuse as there are various poor parts throughout the world that aren't uber-violent and crime ridden. But the most desperate of people/groups breed the most violent of criminals.

We can mention all the notirious cities and particularly their most frowned upon neighborhoods/districts. Anywhere 'ghetto' or 'barrio' is going to be bad, no question. A lot of the traditional ones from the last 40 years are going through gentrification, but there are a lot more non-traditional places being created.

SO many formerly respectable cities in the midwest, turning into the modern rustbelt, mostly due to American manufacturing continuing to collapse, and the auto industry continuing to suffer and fall apart.

Detroit, Flint...various other cities in Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana. Baltimore and Washington, D.C. Border towns in south Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, and of course Cali. Outer burroughs of NYC as well as parts of New Jersey.

LA has gotten much better, but there are still plenty of horrendous parts. And of course practically no one can afford a median priced home, let alone a piece of crap fixer in a decent area or better.

I live in Northeast TN and I love it here. We don't have a lot of crime and no real gang activity. I have had my rear window busted while at work before but the insurance took care of it, so no biggie.
