As for the comic-con I get postcards for them every so often... I could look into that. But I'd prefer to get as many of these to my friends here first, then any left over that are of any value, I'll try on one or two of the comic boards. The rest I'll probably bundle into lots on craigslist.

I collected comics back in the 90's....... I ended up destroying all of them when I moved out of my parent's house when i was 19 cause I knew I had to grow up... ah memories!!!!
 
Any chance we can turn this into the "Official Comics Trade/Sale Thread"? I've got about 4 longboxes worth of comics that I'd like to unload, yet there's some stuff I missed from the late 90's and past few years that I'd love to jump on....thoughts? I don't want to make another of this same thread but with just my own stuff, clog up the forum.
 
I am also looking to unload. I have 16 long boxes and would like to cut out 4 or 5 of them. I would do a basic $1-$3 a book plus shipping. Ill post a list sometime soon.

OK you have inspired me, i only have a few hundred, i can definitely sit down and list all of mine if you did all of that. That is very very strong that you went through the trouble of going through all of that

that is funny, 90% of the 500 or so comics I own are all late 1980s to early 1990s before marvel went chapter 11- then i got out all together, and went to college.

COMIC BOOKS FOR SALE(FOR THOSE WHO WANNA READ THEM AND DON'T CARE ABOUT COLLECTION VALUE):

Many have polybags, some have backing boards to them, most of the ones with polybags have glue residue from tape that degraded over time on the bags themselves.

I DO NOT HAVE A DIGI CAM. I was mainly trying to sell these for people to READ, not to collect. Most are mint/near mint, with a few with spine creases and other damage. Prices are NOT set in stone, make an offer, but don't ask for stuff for like .25 each.

Listing them on eBay honestly would be more trouble than it's worth. A comic shop, if they even wanted them, would probably give you 10 cents to a quarter per book and sell them in their 50 cent bin.

You're right. I recently sold my silver age stuff to a comics shop near my house, but the owner is slowly moving away from the comics business, because he's making little money off them, and the demand for non silver/golden age isn't that strong aside from a few key issues. I've got a ton of books in my attic and while I could easily sell a few of them (Hulk #181, Spidey #300), I'm just going to keep sitting on them until I can get rid of everything. Ebay is a waste unless you've got something really big, and serious colectors avoid non-CVG rated stuff because they've been burned one too many times with these auctions. It was recommended to me to get a table at a comics show and sell them there, but once again you'd better have some good stuff and make more than enough to over the cost of the table fee and make the wasted day worth it. Isn't Garth Ennis the guy behind the Marvel Knights Punisher series or at least most of it? If so, then CML on this thread, since I have a bunch from when the series first started(#1-13).

My collection is made up of so many extas copies of Image and Marvel from the early 90s. It sucks that I will never get rid of them all, but I worked for Diamond Distributors in Elk Grove Illinois and we got so many overprinted runs on Image comics original runs that we were picking up 5 or more copies for a dollar or two total.
 
Wow. Didn't realize there were so many cagers in the same situation. Just got 16 long boxes of 80's, 90's era Marvel/DC comics at a yard sale. All are alphebetised, many are in the sealed plastic, etc. Was planning on mass reading/ selling over the summer. Will get my list ready soon too. Didn't realize how hard this would be....
