i sold out
I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that was sarcasm.
If it was, wouldn't he have said it in his own reply? Even though my reply was tounge-in-cheek, I didn't expect the reply I got, so I guess I'll wait to see what furyk has to say.
what the hell, there's like three FPS games on the 360.
1) Prey
2) GUN
3) COD2
4) Battlefield 2 Modern Combat

Owned. There are four, bitch.

Anyways. I've just read the first several posts, but I wouldn't reccomend getting a PS3. If you look at the PS histiory, other systems will blow it out of the water. N64 vs PSX: majority played N64. DS vs PSP, DS is getting the majority vote (even though PSP does have more things). I think you'll get bored of PS3. They claim to have good graphics, but in reality if they have a powerful GPU and all of those bells and whistles in it, it will only cause more lag.

Might wanna weigh the pros and cons of PS3 vs Wii/360. (PS: is the Wii another next-gen graphics, or will it have same as GC?)

You realize someone else already proved me wrong, right? COD, PD:Z, Quake 4, Far Cry, Prey and Condemned.. Ghost Recon is a third person shooter, King Kong is debatable.

Nah, I didn't. That's why I said that I'd only read the first several threads. Damn, do I feel like a king_sprout right now or what.

Oh, and I still felt like calling you a bitch because your avatar is V for Vendetta, which is what someone else has. And that someone else was mean to me once. I figured the insult would carry through. Guess not.

Um, yeah. Sarcasm. Look at the post I quoted saying that Sony won't charge for horse armor. I thought it was pretty clear what I said, and it seems most people got that.

The whole elongated explanation I gave was because I thought you missed that micro transactions would be a major part of Sony's online strategy. Considering some of things I've seen on the Sony boards recently, I felt that what I was saying would probably get lost unless spelled out in full.

Speaking of which...

Did you have your head buried in the sand the past ten years? Remember that lovely company with the Hedgehog and all those neat games? I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure it wasn't the almighty Gamecube hype that kept people from buying it. Then there's the powerful Nintendo 64 with it's $60 carts which had 48 games that sold over a million copies worldwide. It's impressive until you consider the fact that the PS1 had 78 games that cracked the million mark, with more games over the 5 million mark too. You're right in saying that Nintendo can claim a victory over Sony with the DS and PSP in terms of sales (thanks largely to Japan), but that's the exception to the rule. So far Sony is the 800 pound gorilla tossing barrells down at Microsoft and Nintendo.

Wait, what the hell? I'm not saying Nintendo alone, but with the 360 too. And what does "Wow, just wow." mean? Don't think it's true? Well, that's what I know from my prior knowledge, because that's what happens in computers and people got pissed off at me for asking if it happens the other way. So fuck me up the ass, I guess I was wrong. Huh. I gotta do more research in systems.

We're not amazed by the thought of Sony being beaten by the 360 or the Wii, we're amazed at your utter disregard for coherent thoughts, grammatically correct English, and reality.

Edit: Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right. Here I am, stuck in the middle with you.

Dude lol i thought i was stupid >.< look at history playstation 1 won the gaming war of its time, so did ps2, i dont think ps3 will win this generation of gaming but it wont come in last and its definatly worth buying(if you have the money of course). If you dont belive me wikipedia playstation and there should be some links somewhere to show sales, etc, etc.(Wikipedia is a reliable source). Plz i dont wanna start a war here so dont think this comment wrongly.
Just to add to this whole thing if xbox 360,Wii,and ps3 all costed the same price 360 would most likely get blown out of the water...

I'm guessing you've never played and/or seen GUN.

Ok gaming patrol....let me say it in ebonics or retard language or something "do anybody no wyhat 1st person is or 3rd person is?" there did i say that retarded enough for anyone who thinks a 3rd peron shooter is the same as a 1st person shooter or a 1st person shooter is the same as an action/puzzle game? Wow just WOW is my line to whoever stole that above...lol. GUN is a 3rd person shooter...GRAW is 1st and 3rd person shooter (option from the menu and the noob version of the GR series might I add especially when played in 3rd person)

As far as numbers go that is the biggest bunch of bullshite ever...I dont care if Barbie Horse adventures sells through the roof...I want good games, at a good price with expanded content to make the game last, not we sold this many systems we are number 1. If its an offline game then i want some good, original thought out stuff that is different from all the crap Ive played since atari. I want the Residnt Evils,MGS,Splinter Cell,Halo,Dead rising, Guitar Hero,God Of War, Ninja Gaiden games. Im NOT interested in how many units sold or how many cores you have or how big your GPU is (insert south park episode of Ginormous penis). As long as the units sold reflects my system staying power in the market thats all that matters. As long as developers back me and make stuff for me WHO CARES.

With the development costs being so high games are coming to your system and the chances of exclusives from houses like Ea or UBISOFT are pretty low at this point. So your gonna see Splinter Cell on PS3 and 360, your gonna see Assasins Creed on both and worst case senario you have to wait (which will be rare at this point as well) 6-12 months...oh no you crack addicted gaming whores (add me in there) there are so many titles that will be out youll have a hard time playing them (w/o skipping work or giving all your money to your wife for shopping so you have game time or skipping school...that should cover all of you) it wont even matter.

For you hyped up PS3 fans in here chill out most info is rumours, but here is some creepy news:

-Your SONY hasnt even begun production (be worried there)

-You have 1 launch game (Resistance) and a port FEAR.

-Unconfirmed format Blu-ray (hey remember Betamax,Minidisc,UMD for movies?)

-$600 price tag, now add tax, 2 games,1-2 extra controllers, some kind of add on...now your at $800-1000 (have fun I can be in The carribean on an all inclusive 1 week trip for that much getting tanked and snorkeling)

-Minimal supplies, good luck getting a system at launch unless you "jack" someone for one

+You get 1080p support (if you have that 3,000+ HDTV)

+HDMI hooray

+You get mucho cores which translates too more powerful

+You have Ginormous GPU

+You get MGS

+You get RPG's like FF

+Ratchet and clank 4000

+Tekken 50000000

+Devil May Cry 3435362

Bottom Line wait...just wait and see what happens with blu-ray,wait to see what happens with bugs, cores and other system launch problems, wait to see if Sonys online is indeed at least up to par with XBL, wait to see the second wave of games for PS3 and if they are soo much better, exclusive or even that much better graphically then 360, and WAIT for a price reduction (wouldnt be surprised at all if they lower it one more time before launch). If you are just soooo cracked out you "gotta have it" at launch...well go buy or make a T-shirt that says "I bought a Neo-Geo" b/c thats about how stupid you could be for spending that much without actually trying out the product.
