Yeah, those were also factors.
I've really enjoyed it for the cheap DOTD items, where I don't have to run around for filler items.

Going to make it hard not to spend the money on it when it expires in December. :bomb:

Prime has to be one of the worst inventions ever.

Pay us money...and we'll make sure you pay us even more money later.

One click is like crack, I say...even though some of us aren't so lucky to be graced with no tax

Mine expires in January...I'll be giving them more money then.
Makes me think that's proof alone to wait until it's $30-$40.
Why? Just rent it now, beat it, and save the $40.
Grapes cannot hope to satisfy this hunger!

Tezuka avatar is kick ass, Mox. He looks a lot cooler than Echizen (but I still like Echizen more).
No tax, and in the case of Amazon Prime, free 2-day shipping.

If I wanted to pay full retail for a game, I'd pick Amazon.com over any B&M retailer any time for those two reasons.

Only way I'm paying full retail at a B&M for a game these days is for pre-order bonuses. No bonuses, wait for it to go on-sale.
Wouldn't the cost of prime pretty much offset any savings you get from not paying tax?

I'm trying really hard to like Loco Roco. I really am. But to find those Mui Mui bitches you need to run into every wall and hope it's a secret passage, and the controls are annoying as hell. Someone should teach those niggaz to walk.

Three hours of warhawk and no one from CAG joined me. :(

I did okay. I had one bad spell where we were up against obviously a master player. He was in a clan with ungodly rank. It was two on one in Warhawks Only and he killed me 12 times and my partner who knows how many and never died once.

SO that dropped my ktd ratio a lot. But on the later maps I got it backj up to 50%. I find just playing defense is easy for positive kills.

So, it only cost me $20 out of pocket for the year, and that's easy to swallow. For $80 for the year, that's a hard one to swallow. :wall: I must've used it 30-40 times for all kinds of things, including tons of DOTD deals.
Why? Just rent it now, beat it, and save the $40.
I don't know, I'm not a fan of the "rent and return" for games, though for this one, I might. Shame, really, because Heavenly Sword is one of those games that I thought would push me to the PS3.
Wouldn't the cost of prime pretty much offset any savings you get from not paying tax?
See a little higher above for my rationale about Prime. The two-day shipping is a nice thing, though it'll be hard to think about for the next time it comes due.

finally done installing and configuring every single last thing I want on my new pc. only took damn near forever. *yaaawwwn*

and now I should probably play some games or put it to use somehow, but I'd rather get some fresh air and not see a screen for a long while

either that or make some chicken noodle soup and watch Mushi-shi before going to sleep. i'm sick, blech

I'd have to say the original $80 i payed for prime probably wouldn't have paid for itself. Bought I got 4 other people to paypal me $16 for it, so I think it worked out for me.

Sorry to hear you're sick.

I know it's probably (and is) old to all of you, but I've been watching the newer Dr. Who series in syndication since it started showing up on PBS locally...

...and wow, this show continues to get better and better. The episode tonight was about the last Dalek.

EXTERMINATE!

I prefer the first "new" Doctor of Season 1, versus the second "new" Doctor for Season 2 + 3. Overall, well done show IMO.

I'm guessing you don't have cable w/SciFi Channel or BBC America, which is why you're picking them up on the PBS station?

So will I get chased out of here if I post another Dilana video?

I wish I could find a torrent of her songs from Rockstar. :[

I think I have allergies...at least they're not bad enough to warrant prescription medicine like they used to when I was a young'un.
I used to wake up with so much eye gunk (what's the proper term for that anyways?) built up overnight that I couldn't open my eyes.

Rocko: Is Dilana = Dilana Smith? There's a torrent for the album Wonderfool on OiNK, if you want to grab that for you when I get home.

It's definitely worth a playthrough, but it's not really worth the price tag now nor is it really worth the wait for a price drop if it's something you'd like to play.

You'd be correct. Yes, this is "new" season 1. They actually ran the first season once through already earlier this year, but I didn't catch it until the final two episodes. Just seeing those hooked me enough into watching the second run. I just hope they finish it. It's so difficult to keep up with between pledge marathons and changes in scheduling, being PBS and all.

--8800GTS 640mb
--Core 2 duo E6750 (i think that's the number...it's the 2.66ghz one)
--Gigabyte 965P-DS3 mobo
--2 gb DDR2 800 - G.Skill
--Coolermaster Centurion 5 case
--320gb seagate SATA
--180gb seagate PATA (had to impulse buy this at BB since I couldn't get XP to run on the SATA)
--using my Sharp Aquos 32" LCD for a monitor.

and with that, I'm pretty much over consoles until Ninja Gaiden 2 and MGS4 come out. :)

Third season, same situation.

Thankfully, Christopher Eggleston makes an appearance on Heroes for a few episodes, and he was great in that. Hopefully, we'll see more of him in the future.

I think the SATA drive not working for XP was a driver issue, though having two drives lessens the chance for something going boom.

...wait...what?

Holy shit. Was he the "invisible man" in Heroes? Hooooly shit. I didn't start watching Dr. Who until the Heroes season finished, and I didn't make the connection until you mentioned it just now.

Hooooly shit.

That shit is disgusting. I had pink eye a while back and had that shit for a while.

And yeah, Wonderfool is her old album she made with a band in Europe back in 2000. Smith was her step-father's name she took at like 2 years old, and strangely enough not her last name at the time of the album's release, which was and still is Robichaux since she married, but she just goes by Dilana now (I'd assume partially because she's split with him now).

In any case, yeah, that'd be great, but I think that'll have a totally different vibe than what she does now. I was hoping someone would have rips of her performaces from Rock Star Supernova. Can't wait for her album in '08.

It's a shame her apparel is so feminine. This is the only thing i'd consider wearing and it's a stretch.

Yes, he was the "invisible man" in Heroes. Took me a minute to figure it out when I saw him for the first time, though it's him.

Ya know, I didn't like the writing of season 2. it was all fanservice. It was of the quality of a fanfic. Season 1 was okay but it had a horrible ending. Sloppy, sloppy stuff. "Oh, we've written ourselves into a coner. So let's have a miracle." At least season 2 didn't end like that, but it was of poor writing throuhg the second season.

Season 3 was better. But I had pretty muched stopped watching except for the Daleks take Manhattan. And that I had problems with because it was a rip off of a ripoff. The Borg are a combination of Daleks/Cybermen. Star Trek took that from Dr Who. The whole, Daleks becoming more Human, that was taken from Star Trek when they gave Borg feelings.

They did redeem themselves with the Master though. It's not the direction I would take it. But it's probably the best live action portrayal of the Joker. I mean, basically, the new Master is the Joker. But it was really well done and well acted.

Derek Jacobi did a perfect, perfect impression of the Old Matser. He even had the voice inflections copied from the previous actors. It was a truly amazing piece of acting.

oh yeah, I ended up with a standard lite-on burner, nothing special.

It was a driver issue and I even bought a floppy to install the drivers with, and the thing was busted. I was about to choke a kitten at this point, so I figured I would just add a hard drive that'll definitely work and save myself any more hassle.

Computer Shopper had an article about doing a low-end PC for $250, and having at least one desktop around here wouldn't be a bad thing.

Here we go again,

Security office pages me to tell me not one but two guests (of one resident) are so intoxicated they can't walk. I get to their room as they're approaching it, and they are walking. And 100% sober.

I have no idea how they could think these people were in need of medical assistance.

The DVD service thing? Wubb talks about it a lot.

Maybe you were the drunk one.

I went to my Bulgarian friend's dad's birthday party.

I can't tell if I'm drunk or not. :whistle2:k

I just kissed my cat on the head, like, ten times. So, probaby. :D

I wonder how long before they start making game versions.

Return of the Jedi was my favorite when I was a baby.

But now, as an adult, I prefer The Empire Strikes Back.

I used to be a huge Star Wars fan when I was a kid. Now I invest my interests in more... adult things. Such as Pokemon.

I still haven't seen them. I'm not really into space stuff.

For the love of God, if you ever decide to, don't watch the prequels.
