Let me tell you something, if you think trading in your PS2 for a gamecube is a good idea than go ahead. But don't expect to be getting much playing time out of the GCN either. As a GCN owner I can tell you that it doesn't get much play either. GC only has a few great titles and good games for it are hard to come by. I have RE4 ,played and loved it, but how many times can you play the same game over and over again. The next game I'm looking foward to is Killer7 and that's a few months away and after that you'll have to wait a few more months to get your hands on Fire Emblem and then Zelda. So in a few words the gamecube avg. about 5 good games a year. While IMO the PS2 has at least 10-20 must play games every year. Just this past month you had God of War (if you like action games you owe it to yourself to play this one) and before that you had GT4, Tekken 5, Devil May Cry 3, also keep an eye on a few great RPG's such as Disgaea and Shin Megami Nocturne (if you like this game you might want to also play Digital Devil Saga). I would say keep your PS2 and buy a refurb GCN if you really want to play RE4 and Zelda.
