Mass Effect is pretty good. I don't know how well my PC would run the second one though. I run the first at 1680 x 1050 at probably 30-40 FPS, but I doubt the sequel would run that well.
I'm really enjoying Mass Effect 2, but I really miss the weapon/armor/upgrade system from the first game. They really dumbed it down this time around.
I'm actually enjoying it with the RPG stuff dumbed down. Really good game so far.

I agree as far as special ability upgrades though, but I used to love comparing weapons and their stats and then picking the best ones for me and my team, and then being able to sell the crappier ones. I also liked being able to add upgrades. You could make some really devastating combinations.
All that talk about your actions in Mass Effect 1 having a real consequence in ME2 was pretty much Molyneux-style hyperbolic bullshit, right?
I don't know, I didn't keep my saves from the first game. I reallllllly wish I did. There are parts that make me say "I didn't do that in the first game!!"
Joy and Glory or something like that?
Yea the red and blue couple - whatever they are called.
Then on 2nd part of first chapter - after getting in that car accident it looks like you have to do 3 torture attacks against more of those dudes before you can proceed - they just keep spawning. No way i can dodge enough attacks to be able to do that 3 times.

Seems to be.
The most drastic thing I can see is how it handles the Wrex alive/dead situation, but I can't see anything major changing there either.

Protip: screw your rating, fill your magic gauge with the purple lolis and then do a torture attack. Rinse, repeat.

Yea that was my next step before i decided to screw it and go read instead. we'll see if 1 mega and 3 normal 'pops are enough to get by later.
It seems so weird to me that the Apple tablet isn't going to be running a full version of OSX, although it's probably for the best.
Oh, it isn't? What are they anticipating the price on this beast to be?
Does anyone here have Amazon brand DVD DLs?
I do.
They work fine.
And even if a few coasters happen( I only had one and it was when I accidentally unplugged my external DVD drive), you're still ahead over the other option.

If that tablet is $700 or less and has 3G included like a Kindle, I'm dumping my iPhone.
Thanks, Manthing. I think I'll order some.
I haven't tried them yet, as there hasn't been occasion to use them... but I needed some and uncle drunkus told me they work fine, so I figured I'd give it a shot.
Does anyone have a wired 360 controller or a PC adapter they'd like to part with?
If you still need a PC adapter, I've got one that I'm not using. I can't find the software that goes with it, but I imagine you can find it online.
Why dont you get the Kindle app or Barnes & Noble's ebook app Puma? Im currently reading the Zombie Survival Guide on my Touch with the Kindle app and it's amazing.
Plus they're both free, you just have to buy the book. But they give you a free 1 chapter sample to see if you like the book.
I'll give it a shot, but I have a feeling it will be massively straining to read a novel on a screen that small.
Speaking of reading, now that we've read about Thoreau in English I really, really want to read Walden.
EDIT:
Can any of you IT guys explain why according to my router page, my ATT Elite DSL is being throttled to 672 kbps down, 288 kbps up? That's some ing bullshit.
There were signs saying they were filming the show. I was wondering if they were doing it at all the stops and making a tour DVD, or releasing the recordings online.

Now that you mention it, I seem to remember them bringing a camera out for one song, but I could just be imagining this
After looking in my pantry, I'm pretty sure there's a 6 year old living here that I don't know about. Either that or I have the same eating habits as a kindergartner.
I wouldn't be shocked if there were two tiers; an 800.00 and 1000.00
This is my guess (or maybe wishful thinking). It might be a delayed two tier (multi-tier) price structure that rolls out like the iPhone.
