I'm sure I wouldn't like the Wolverine movies, but I liked that game. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed parts of Watchmen. I thought it had a certain sense of style. I just found the story incredibly boring.

It most likely won't work. It probably isn't a real install disc, but rather a recovery disc, which basically just re-images the computer.

MvC2 probably wins out because I've got a $20 FYE gift card that I can use to get the points for free. I wasn't a huge fan of World Tour anyway - the difficulty killed me, and my friends and I spent a lot more time with Rock Band because of the track listing, the DLC, and the fact that we wouldn't all fail if we tried, say, Hot for Teacher.

Maybe not "really bad," but I don't like Activision's style of throwing as many notes at you as they possibly can, reasonable charting of the song be damned.

That said, being forced to play the Tool set to progress was 20 minutes of my life I want back.

I don't think there's any way to really prove that. All I know is that the group I played with could usually pass songs on hard or expert in Rock Band, but had issues with medium or, sometimes, even easy in World Tour.

(a) fuck you. tool was the best thing about that game.
(b) fuck you. i had to "pay" for the tool set.
(c) fuck you. just because. :)

And for the most part, until I got to the last two sets or so, I had less problems with GH:WT on hard than I do with RB2 on hard.

I'm calling bullshit on that. Either your friends suck at Rock Band, or they're lying to you. There is not that wide of a gap between Rock Band and GH. The big difference to me is the presentation and how you go from set to set.

Playing Tool in GH:WT was the best part :cool:

As a group, we can beat Painkiller and Battery. We'd usually fail out on the songs at the end of World Tour, though. I was on the couch next to them, so I'm pretty sure they're not lying. :whistle2:s

Looking at the track list, the only songs in the game that I really want that Rock Band doesn't have are Hotel California, and Santeria.
 
I think GH5 noticeably harder than RB not only because of the charts but the timing window too, but having to knock down a RB Expert song to Easy or Medium in GH is a bit much.

I was thinking more same point in the game - as in, the songs at the end of Rock Band have been easier for us than the ones at the end of Guitar Hero.

Wow, I think they just removed the map veto option from World At War so that people can't skip the DLC maps. :cool:

EDIT: False alarm, the fifth room I got in still had it. In Halo when the playlist throws you a map that you don't have does the guide pop up with the marketplace page of the game so you can buy it?
 
Tool was an awesome part of GH:WT. I think I'm going to rebuy that game, it did have some fun tracks. I wish the deal was on Metallica, though.

OK, here's another question. Does anyone know how the upgrade from XP to Win7 is going to work? Would I be able to install the Win7 update disc on a new computer since I have that Dell XP disc and a serial code? OR does XP actually have to be installed?

I'm trying to figure out if I should update my current computer from XP to Win7, and build a new desktop later or just build the desktop now and put 7 on it rather than my current comp.
 
I don't think anyone knows exactly how the upgrade discs of Win7 are going to work. That Dell disc isn't going to work though.
 
I really hate trying to think of things to write in cards. Guys don't give a fuck usually, but women always expect some long thought out message. :(

I liked the Tool songs in GH:WT, but they were kinda... not fun. I have more fun playing like a pop-rock song in RB. I blame it on just being GH.

Walrus, I don't know how your friends had problems in GH and not in RB. GH games are waaay more forgiving.
 
If I'm not mistaken, GH starts you off in the yellow, while RB starts you off in the green.

Add that to GH seems to have harder starpower points (compared to overdrive) along with the amount each "saves" you.

Also, the fact that you benefit from someone else using overdrive in RB, whereas you don't benefit if someone uses starpower in GH and it's easy to see why RB is more forgiving.
