Bioshocked/seanR/Ugamer_X/corrosivefrost, do you guys have an opinion on Costume Quest? I think it comes out tomorrow on PSN. I didn't think it looked that hot until I looked up some previews.

I'd rather save my MS points for Rock Band 3 stuff but I'm not sure if you guys would be interested in it.

Here you go, flowery:

You liked that Girl w/the Dragon Tattoo movie, right? It's kind of similar(foreign cold case murder mystery adapted from a novel) but I liked this one a lot better because it didn't feel as compressed. It has this one really insane shot that has to do with a soccer stadium that I think you'll appreciate.
I want costume quest but was going to dump the 1200 ms points on it so I got my 800 point rebate -- otherwise, I don't know what the fuck I'm going to spend 1200 points on before the deadline.

That said, if you want to grab it, that's cool too.
Last thing I say about it - Enslaved is fantastic and everyone should buy it. That is all.

I was pretty sure it was terrible before -- reused character design, ripping off another classic Asian fable, graphics issues, etc... but your glowing endorsement seals the deal.

Thanks for saving me some cash, birthday boy.

Saw two movies tonight. Date Night and After.life. The former was good. The latter...while decent was a bit fucked up if you ask me.

Awesome. My girlfriend and I were at the mall yesterday and stopped to look at puppies in the pet store. They had a bulldog and a english mastif that I really liked, but I don't have anywhere for them at the moment.

With PETA headquarters here in Norfolk we have no shortage of free animals. You could probably find a awesome exotic animal connect via PETA here if you had the right permits and what not.

You're complaints are completely unfounded but even if they weren't, aren't you the guy whose favorite games are Devil May Cry, Bayonetta, and Ninja Gaiden? You should love reused character design, ripping off of Asian fables, and graphics issues. BTW - what Asian fable is it ripping off? It's about slaves escaping in a post apocalyptic New York City while fighting off mechs.

Oh and Happy Birthday!

Granted it's "loosely based on" but still... you get the point.

The AT&T UVerse android app is out and about and working on other carriers.

Time to get the benefits of my dad's UVerse service.

EDIT:

So's the Yahoo Messenger with vid chat to other phones or computers over Wifi/3&4G.

But I didn't think anyone still used YM.

Actually, people on YM can chat with people on MSN and vice versa. Been that way for a few years now. Whether the features are compatible or not, unsure on that.

Does the video to phone streaming work yet (for android users)?
I know it is promised but it doesn't work on the iPhone/iPad app at all. All I can do is mess with the DVR recording settings.

Edit:
I really want to trim my beard and bleach it to look like this guy:

Only if you have a certain level UVerse package or higher. Even then, you're not streaming, only d/l a show over WiFi.

I don't think UVerse has the upload speeds needed for streaming video.

Curse my recent string of purchases from KMart. Went today and spent $112, out of pocket, and got Fallout NV CE, Borderlands GOTY (need to clear HDD for add-ons), Vanquish, and Nier. Thankfully, with Fable 3, I'll only spend a biit over $5 out of pocket with the coupons I got today.

Fable 3 is your best option for using the coupons?!?

:???:

Do you hate having fun or something?

I have the old U400 bundle (U450 -minus the total sports bundle and HBO or Cinemax not both) with "Max" net speed. It seems everyone in my neighborhood who's also tried the video on the app can't get it to work yet. (I believe the app requires U300 or higher.)

FWIW, a coming soon "stream to mobile device" from your DVR in 480p was what they initially promised when we signed up; But your right the updated info on the site just says stream hit TV shows.

While I'm curious about what changes the new developer made, I'm still a bit overloaded from my entire runthrough of all the F3 DLC.
fable 3... that's the punchline... right?

Mojimbo, did you get an answer from the others on costume quest?
I think it was Nier.

I too will be purchasing Costume Quest for Number84.

Obsidian managed to completely fuck up the engine for one. Game barely runs at the same settings I ran Fallout 3 on two years ago. It seems like it'll be a deeper roleplaying experience (with the crafting and hardcore mode and reputation), but only once it actually works.

Yeah, and Best Buy's B2G1F sounds very tempting since it seems it applies to the Collectors Editions, but I doubt I'll be getting those, I have yet to touch Dead Rising 2 still.

Nier is actually the punchline. I didn't mind Fable 2. Hopefully Fable 3 will be the EPIC game that Fable was suppose to be...

I will use my last $15 coupon on more points. Might actually use it this week on the 4000, but undecided. Either way, I think once I use the coupons I have now, no more purchases for me for a while. Spent more on gaming this month than all of last year.

Obsidian has always had issues with other peoples engines...Had the same issue with the Aurora Engine when they took over Neverwinter Nights 2 (took them two expansions to get it right), and KotOR 2. But the Role Playing elements and writing are top notch, even if thier production values are not. I'm hopeful, because Obsidian is composed of Black Isle castoffs (creators of the original Fallout). It's what Fallout should have been when Interplay was in charge.

Some people like Nier. And since expectations were low for the game, it didn't have the possibility of the EPIC FAIL that fable 3 will amount to.

Yea, knowing their history gives me hope (NWN2 is one of my favorite RPGs) but they really need to get their shit in gear and stop releasing broken games. They've got a pretty nasty reputation thanks to it and with their writing it's not entirely deserved.

EDIT: I really wish I could comment on Fable III.
Told ya so!
It's the only game of the 4 that I wasn't sure if I wanted. For $19.99, it's worth the risk.

That's what it is for me. If I don't care for it, it's $20. I really hope Fable 3 isn't shit, but I figure I'll be let down. Will hold off on it until the end of next week if I get it. If I don't, not sure what I'll use my $40 in KMart coupons on. Probably more points, since I haven't the slightest clue what comes out for the 360 or DS in the next few weeks.

If you wait a year or so, MS might fuck up with Fable 3 and make it available for free download.

Currently, I'm still playing Castlevania (not finished) and DR2 (love it!) and need to play through AC2 which I borrowed from a buddy. Besides all that, I'm definitely picking up Costume Quest at some point and Vanquish looks pretty interesting too. Hell, I may even check out Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 as well. And for some reason, I find myself constantly thinking about getting RE5 Gold and Blazblue:CS... with all this, Fable 3 would be on the backburner til 2011, which has Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

So for me, based off what I saw in Fable 2, it's just not worth it. Now, that's not to say that Fable 3 won't be a pleasant surprise to the people (like me) who were overly let down by the game and aren't expecting jack from it. And maybe diehards will think it's good, but I have a hard time believing that Molyneux will finally deliver.

Its weird that Fable 3 is out so soon. There seems to be no talk about it whatsoever whereas the past 2 games you heard nothing but crazy promises and all sorts of hype leading up to the release. Maybe someone got a hold of Molyneux and told him to keep quiet about 3?
Nice, Redbox is starting to get into the gaming market with rentals at $2 a night. Really helpful now in knowing which games to avoid like MOH.

I heard about it a few days ago...$2 a day doesn't seem too bad. Also, I checked my Zip and there's a bunch near me with games. I'll have to give them a shot soon. Hoping there's free codes out there for games too.
Professor Layton and Phoenix Wright in the same game?
