Indiana Deals Thread

I was at Meijer on Illinois Rd. yesterday and saw they marked the 60GB PS3 to $449.99.

I'm going down to Fishers/Castleton, IN today. I'll be at Fry's around noon, and the mall and other stores later.
 
Anyone in Ft. Wayne area need a Core 2 Duo CPU?
I'm upgrading to a E6600 (2.4GHz dual core)
Once I finish switching it out I'm going to have a E4300 (1.8GHz dual core on 800MHz FSB) available as trade fodder.

If you have a good mobo you can probably overclock the crap outta it.

That looks tempting, but I don't have anything good enough to trade for that and no money for a motherboard. It would be nice to have a little better of a computer to tinker with or to build a HTPC.
 
Just wanted to let you FW guys know that the K-Mart in Huntington had a shittload of clearance stuff left last weekend when I was in the area (VP2, Tales Abyss, Disgaea 2, some of the $5 360 games, and some decent DS stuff like Hotel Dusk and Children of Mana). Might want to check it out if you head out that way. Oh, and also, Lev's Pawn Shop on Wells St was running a B2G1 on all their PS2,XBOX,&Cube stuff.

Best buy is blowing out 2 or 3 racks of ipod and phone accessories.
Everything on the racks is 1/2 off the current clearance price.

I got a DLO case for my Zen Vision M that was $35 last Christmas for $3 today.

There were some earbuds, ipod cases & chargers, bluetooth headsets, and so on.

Any Indy CAGs care to share Super Mario Galaxy sightings/reports from TRU?

The Washington Square one said they had 40 pre-orders and only got in 20. The Castleton branch I was only able to check around 230 and they were a complete mess and the employees seemed quite perplexed on when they'd get the shipments.

called at 1 not in yet

called at 5 not in yet, was told truck got lost nothing they can do period. Stop by at 5:40ish and they are taking a call list. signed around 30 down.


So basically even though I was one of the first ones there I am now 30 some back as well as after the preorders. kinda stinks.

Same exact crap happened to me. The Apple Glen BB had a ton of copies, but the bitch working customer service wouldn't let me pricematch. :bomb:
 
I went to the Greenwood TRU at 5:30 yesterday after work - they had a line of 50 people in there taking down names and phone numbers for whenever they got the game in. They hadn't received their shipment, and didn't know how many they'd be getting.

I got the call today around noon that they had today's shipment in, and that they were holding copies back for the preorder tickets they'd sold, as long as you pick it up by 10 tonight. I'll hit it up again this evening with my preorder ticket and see how it goes. If they don't have it then, I'll soak the $5 and just go to the Best Buy across the street.

I went to that store today for a copy they said they only got enough in to fill about half of the preorders and they expect more in she told me the best time to call would be friday afternoon but I will still call on thursday. I'm kicking my own butt for forgetting about this deal yesterday.
 
I was at the Greenwood one as well around 3pm. If you guys find out any more when you go back, please post again. The lady told me check in tomorrow morning, I guess in case pre-orders don't come in for pick up.
 
I checked out that Disc Replay store.

Looked like ok prices on used DVD's. $5 to $8 on most stuff.
CD's were mostly $6 or under.

Game selection seems to be filling out. Some stuff was overpriced, but there were deals to be had on older titles. Basically if it was a very popular title for an older system, it's probably cheap. Splinter Cell for Xbox was $2. I saw some GameCube games that were still holding their value...I think Smash Bros was still up there in price.

Anyway...not a total loss...I'll probably check them out for older titles I missed.
 
For those of you that have been going to Greenwood TRU just got back and the guy told me they still only have some in stock for preorders and to check back this afternoon or friday morning.

Tru called the next day said it came in stock. bought that a strawberry shortcake doll and a sucker for a total of 80 with tax and got $35 (10+25) on a gift card. not to bad at all. forgot to enquire about that coin thingy. oh well. game is pretty good. Still need to finish guardian legand and metroid prime 2 first. oh well.
 
For those of you looking for SMG at Greenwood TRU without a preorder at noon they had plenty in stock they didn't tell me how many just that I didn't need to rush in. They let me use the 15% off babies r us coupon I paid $45.04 with tax.
 
The Greenwood BB also does the SMG corporate promo without hassle. Just bring up the game to a register and ask about the gift card and they'll ring you up. There were only 3 SMGs left around 11am though.

Also, Red Steel and Excite Truck are starting to be clearanced at the US31 Target. It's still first level, so it's tagged around $34.98, but there were plenty in case you want to wait it out.
 
Am I the only one waiting for Mario to be a $20 Player's Choice game? I know if I bought it now I'd never get around to playing it. Hell, I'm only 25% through Super Paper Mario.

I'm hoping to use my GC from SMG on Resident evil:UC, but the toys"R"Us near me haven't had any in at all i've called and went in to check every week and no go on it anyone know of a TRU store that has it in Indiana?

I live in Lafayette area and don't mind driving there also RE:UC seems to not be listed on TRU's website anymore so I might be out of luck. =\
 
I dropped by the McVans on Maplecrest this afternoon. It looks like they cleaned out the back room some. They had some bins of ps1 games on clearance and several boxes just filled with manuals for just about every system. There was a ton of snes and playstation manuals. They're all a dollar, which is a little more than I would like to pay, but I found a few that I needed. I picked up:

X-Com UFO Defense (got the disk and now I need to find the longbox case)
Wild Arms
Xenogears
Star Ocean The Second Story

Those were a few of the better ps1 manuals. I left a DQVII and Breath of Fire manual. There were several FFVIII manuals. I didn't see any snes rpg manuals and I didn't even check the two boxes of n64 manuals. I just thought I'd let you guys know about them if you need any to complete your games.

I bought mine at the TRU in Mishawaka. I can check to see if they have any this weekend.

They also have Rock Band in stock as of thursday night. Someone had told me it was not easy to find (?).

edit: FYI: with all the b2g1 sales and the SMG offer, it is hard to find any worthwhile recent wii game at TRU, but I will look.

I found out what happened to all the movies and games from Video Stop on State. My work bought them to put in a new employee "lending library". Woot!

they pushed all the west state (store closed) stuff to the east state (Only video stop left) months ago
 
We're always hiring for something or another. Usually warehouse help needed, or sales. PM me if you want me to send you HR info.

The selection we got was pretty good. There's a large batch of PS2 and Xbox games, and a smattering of PS3/Wii/360.

TRU in Mishawaka has it now.

They also have 360 HDs for 49.98.

I was at the Meijer on Illinois Rd. yesterday, and they had several games with the orange clearance tag on them. All GBA, GC (I think), etc. games had the tag. A bunch of PSP, PS2, and $20 or less games had it. Some PS3, 360, Wii, DS, etc. games had it. Some sales looks good, some do not.

I'm kind of holding out for a 25%-50% extra off clearance before I buy anything.

At the Best Buy near Jefferson Pointe, they had a huge stack (3 of them) of Wii Guitar Hero 3's. Wal-Mart and Gamestop in the same area had Rock Band (both PS3/360).
 
I barely remember, but I saw Kameo (360) for $12, 64MB memory card on 360 for $15.99, Baten Kaitos (GC) $14.99, Yakuza (PS2), $14.99 (I think) and more. If I go back, I'll take a closer look.
 
I was at the Meijer off of St. Joe Center Rd and Maysville Rd. today. I didn't see any good markdowns on 360 stuff, but I did see Odin Sphere for $15.99. I grabbed one of the two copies there.
