Is anyone wierded out or scared by the six flags guy

Thread Hijack!!!

So, anyone excited about the Kingda Ka? I was at Great Adventure last tuesday, but it wasn't open yet. It's still gigantic. It's over twice the height of Nitro's biggest drop. I was actually kinda happy it wasn't open, just so my friends wouldn't have been able to convince me to go on it... Yeesh.

Oh, and they've got a huge banner with the scary guy overlooking the entrance to the park. Freaked me out the first time i saw him...

Uhm. No. Speaking of hijackings, our Six Flags ( colorado ) was before a homely amusement park called Elitch Gardens. It was so much better before those damn looney toons characters and batman invaded my roller coaster experience. It's thanks to the wigs at Six Flags that we have a ride in which you side in cylendrical revolving seat-things atop a skateboard of all things, and it goes up and down on a half pipe. You'd think they could have used the money from crap like that into building a better arcade. :bomb:

They really ought to use some Hammer songs for the commercials...

That's the way to go.

He looks like a guy I work with!/ I'll have to email my pic of him and put it on here. Every morning when we see him every one goes " doot doot doot" (whatever) we sing the song. He gets pissed!

Six Flags New England has one of those too, but it is call the "Tomahok" (sp?). The ride is pretty good, but once you hit that one point where it's at it's highest and fastest, I fucking love it.

Kingda Ka looks awesome. I know it's been getting some remarks as it being nothing more than Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point except with the bunny hill but with Cedar Point being around 10 hours away from Great Adventure, I don't think it matters. I want to try to go on it this summer that is if the lines aren't too bad. I heard today it had a 4 - 5 hour line, no way I would wait that long for any coaster.

What's also interesting is that right after this coaster opened, they are already planning a new wooden coaster for 2006 since Viper is being taken apart.
