It's definitely good... to buy and trade back in through that rebate. Took about a month to get it, but so reassuring getting that check in the mail when you bought the game for 79.99 on sale :) It's another good way to turn BBV credit -> Cash :)
 
Ok, i bought it at BB today, but the fucking manager wouldn't give me the extra 10% even though i pointed out that it's a 110% pricematch guarantee. But i guess $65(including tax) aint bad.

Best Buy does not have a 110% price match guarantee for an initial sale. It's knd of ridiculous, but the 110% would only apply if you had bought it from them at full price and then gone back for a price adjustment.

There's a star above "Activision". The one I got from sears was the new one. My question is how does Activision expects us to know that when it isn't listed anywhere in the form. Im tempted to send in the new one. Has anyone tried that?

I'm pretty sure there are a few accounts on Slickdeals of people sending a new version in and still getting the rebate with no questions asked.
 
I think I'll order a used one off of gamestop, $60ish shipped, and if it isn't the old one, I'll just return it at my local gamestop. I'll probably still play it until the end of august anyways.

You have the old version, you can ship it back to Activision and get $132 back (after you pay for shipping). You have until Aug 31 to play out and get bored of the game.

I think I'll order one from gamestop, with cag16 and edge. If I dotn get an old version, I'll just return it to a GS store after I play it for a week. nvm, they're oos now, should have gotten one earlier.

If I buy one at a store, how can I tell if its a enw one or old one by the outside box, upc?

It says $89.99 now. What gives?
I guess if it's the old version, it's still worth getting the rebate, but $90 is a little much for me to drop right now.
 
I sure hope it's worth it, I bought the game a couple days ago for $57 after tax from CC, did in store pickup, going to go get the game tomorrow. I don't own a PS3 or 360 so I figured why not, plus if they do make the rumored guitar hero metallica I definitely want to get that. And my girlfriend is a big guitar hero fan so it'll be good times.

Ah well that sucks. I guess I could still buy 2 at $90, send one in for the $130 rebate, and get 10 - 20$ off after shipping. Probly not worth it tho. :whistle2:k
