You're not missing anything. The fourth season blows. It was a great series until about halfway through Season 3, and then the writers just stopped caring.
I really hope the show makes a huge comeback in Season 5. The whole Lana/Clark thing is played out to death and really needs to end. And a main character needs to die. I don't care who, just kill off somebody. And bring Pete back.
