That's certainly not a justification to delete threads. Mods don't even hand out infractions for piracy. They just sweep everything under the rug.

Have you read The New York Trilogy by Paul Auster? It's one of my favorites.
 
I think i own children of men, but have never watched it. I think i saw some of it on cable once, i remember that line about the ringing in his ears being cells dieing.

She's a more recent writer who is just absolutely charming, but also really perverse at the same time. I just finished one of her books today (more of a collection of short stories), and I really enjoyed most of them. Not really as intellectual as you're probably used to, but a really nice breath of fresh air.

Man, Windows 7 must be incredibly smart or use some sort of tech that reads drivers from other OS installations.

I just got it going and I didn't have to install drivers for any of my hardware. As soon as I started it up, it was good to go.

A beta review of Windows 7 said that it's just "incredibly smart", IIRC.

I think I might try it out on VB sometime later today.

It's a toughy...most people here pirate games so therefore they are cheap...but they do love to hate...would be interesting.

On the other hand...not sure how you would pull it off if you did get the cash.

It could have all the drivers in the kernel already, like linux does for a lot of hardware.
When I installed ubuntu on my laptop, all of the keyboard functionality that you can only access with the fn button still worked, for example.

Newer versions of Windows (or any OS really) have more drivers than previous versions. I remember when i first upgraded to XP years ago, it found drivers for everything i had, where as i had to install some for 98. They just keep adding updated drivers.
