So I've ordered some Wii remotes, nunchucks, and classic controllers off a UK based store (https://www.bargainpile.net/).
The items turned out to be cheap knock offs and not genuine Nintendo products as claimed on their product pages

They've claimed innocence (said their supplier claimed these are genuine, and that they were genuine in the past - which is true, my friend got a genuine remote from them in the past), and offered to either let me keep them and receive 40% back, or ship them back and get a full refund (I'd lose the cost of shipping them back though).

I was waiting for 1 classic controller that was shipped a few days after the rest to arrive, so I could ship everything back. When it did arrive, I noticed that unlike the previous shipment from the UK, this one was from HK, and looked oddly familiar...

After a few minutes I realized that this looked exactly like the packages from DealExtreme, only with a generic sticker covering the place where the DX logo usually is. That didn't sit well with their claims so far, so I confronted them about it.

They said that they were missing the item in their stock and decided to ship it to me directly from their "supplier", which is not related to DealExtreme, and is "probably just using the same shipping company as DealExtreme". They've also said that the classic remote wasn't even advertised as a Nintendo product on their site anyway.

A quick google cache check and a simple peel of the sticker to reveal the DX logo refuted those claims...

I decided to file a complain with Paypal at that moment, only to realize that they don't cover cases like imitation products.

Is there anything else I can do about this or should I just quickly accept the fact that I've been had, and take one of their offers before they take them back?

Put in a claim with the credit card company (hopefully you used a CC and not a debit or other form of payment). If you didn't get what you ordered, you shouldn't have to pay to ship it back.

Edit: NVM, didn't see the paypal comment at the end.

Bottom line is you didn't get what you ordered. Paypal doesn't cover that?

About £65 for 2 Remotes, 1 Nunchuck, and 2 Classic Controllers.

Yes the price was suspiciously low, but I knew a friend got a legit remote from them before (following a deal posted here, btw), so went ahead and ordered...
If it makes you feel better, it definitely wouldn't hurt to contact Nintendo's Anti-Piracy department and file a report: http://ap.nintendo.com/report/

They probably can't help you personally but it'll help make sure it doesn't happen to someone else.
i don't think its necessarily piracy, just the crappy third party controllers that people are legally allowed to sell. you would have to shut down pelican, mad catz and whatever other crappy peripheral companies there are if this is considered piracy.

Did you use a credit card to pay? I've found that even if PayPal won't do anything about it, if you contact your card company directly they usually favor your side (they want to keep your business, after all).

I think the difference here is that they were supposed to be official, first-party controllers. I agree that selling knock-offs is one thing, but certainly selling knock-offs under the guise of genuinity is another.
