So I've ordered some Wii remotes, nunchucks, and classic controllers off a UK based store (https://www.bargainpile.net/).
The items turned out to be cheap knock offs and not genuine Nintendo products as claimed on their product pages
They've claimed innocence (said their supplier claimed these are genuine, and that they were genuine in the past - which is true, my friend got a genuine remote from them in the past), and offered to either let me keep them and receive 40% back, or ship them back and get a full refund (I'd lose the cost of shipping them back though).
I was waiting for 1 classic controller that was shipped a few days after the rest to arrive, so I could ship everything back. When it did arrive, I noticed that unlike the previous shipment from the UK, this one was from HK, and looked oddly familiar...
After a few minutes I realized that this looked exactly like the packages from DealExtreme, only with a generic sticker covering the place where the DX logo usually is. That didn't sit well with their claims so far, so I confronted them about it.
They said that they were missing the item in their stock and decided to ship it to me directly from their "supplier", which is not related to DealExtreme, and is "probably just using the same shipping company as DealExtreme". They've also said that the classic remote wasn't even advertised as a Nintendo product on their site anyway.
A quick google cache check and a simple peel of the sticker to reveal the DX logo refuted those claims...
I decided to file a complain with Paypal at that moment, only to realize that they don't cover cases like imitation products.
Is there anything else I can do about this or should I just quickly accept the fact that I've been had, and take one of their offers before they take them back?
