Jay-Z + Final Fantasy 7 = The Mako Album

Those sound really really good. By the way zewone, if you're into these types of remixes then have you heard Jay-Z remixed to Jimi Hendrix? It's another remix that I just found/ just came out and and awesome.

Have you heard the Notorious B.I.G. /Gnarles Barkley remix album, gnotorious?
Not bad. Not bad at all. It's no Grey Album, but what mashup is?
The Jimi Hendrix/Weezer/Purple/Brown albums are all pretty good. And the Metallica one had its moments.

Aigo. Please just shoot me in the face. I don't hate Jay-Z or anything and I liiked his old shit but any FF stuff mixed to new Bling-Bling shit mainstream Hip-Hop in the U.S. I don't wanna hear. If Jay-Z didn't sell out and is still making some listenable stuff I'd be surprised. I mean shit even though Foxy Brown's Chyna Doll was good that hit song off "Broken Silence" sounded like shit but the album sold. Goes to show you can't make a good album here and have the idiot mainstream Hip-Hop and Rap fans buy it.

the best jay-z black album mash-up so far IMO has been that kno of cunninglynguists (sp?) vs. hov one, awesome beats.

I second that one. 9th Wonder's version sounded very sloppy.

at first I thought it was lame because I never played FF& but it can actually stand on it's own. The footage of cloud on the bike in 99 problems was funny.

We ought to get a mash-up thread going (discussion if nothing else). Most of the time I like those better than the originals.

Nice post zewone!

true that man, all my rap songs are ALL mash-ups pretty much.

Dumb de dumb da de.

I mean to be honest I do not want to hear rapper crap mixed in with Final Fantasy games. I prefer singing along myself and making up my own music.

Also I mean give me a break if that really did air then it must be some lame excuse to advert Lame-Z or whatever er name is.

pile of crap and I mean it. Music is not meant to be screwed around with and Video Game music sould be left alone.

There's a really good mashup album by the The Legion of Doom called Incorporated. The Best song from that album is Hands Down Gandhi which features Dashboard Confessional and Sage Francis. Their myspace is Www.myspace.com/tlod

can we get more mashups in this thread, I love them. This mashup is ok, Encore is great. I've only listened to 5 at the moment, I was hoping that the mixer would of mixed the orchestrated stuff, and not the midi... but oh well.

Grey Album (Beatles/Jay-Z) : http://www.illegal-art.org/audio/grey.html

Q-Unit (Queen/50Cent) : http://www.q-unit.net/

and Kill your sense of hearing with a Bee-Gees/Vanilla Ice/Montel Williams Mashup: http://www.djshift1.com/The_Silence_Xperiment_-_This_Is_How_Vanilla_Ice_Stays_Alive.mp3

Do you have the link to the mash up he's talking about?

Anyone heard the Britney Spears/Destin'y Child mash-up of Toxic/Say My Name? The Toxic instrumental was MADE for Say My name. I hate the originals for both but together its great.

BTW, the December 4th Mako mix is amazing IMO. I haven't listened to the rest yet.
That was horrific.
I know, you can actually make out what the hell they are saying. I prefer unintelligable growling.

Time to bring this back...

Goldigger/Beethoven's 5th Mash-up. It's off a little in a couple of place but overall its pretty good IMO.

This one is amazing considering I asolutely hated the originals by both. But the mash up is way better than the original songs. It really sounds like they belong together.

Snoop Dog and Grease? This is suprisingly entertaining.

Snoop and Jimmy Hendrix. Drop it like it's Voodoo? (Language warning)

I think this one is pretty amazing.
