There's a good chance that kid will be prone to back injuries for years. I did something similar once. We were on vacation and staying at a motel. My parents go to get some food so of course my brother and I immediately start jumping on the beds. We're doing wrestling moves and I decide to hit him with the Superfly Snuka splash. I had too much weight forward and folded my legs over my back just like that kid. Ouch.

There are several things that make skateboard crashes so satisfying.

1. A near universal lack of safety gear.

2. The frequent racking of nuts on rails.

3. The frequency of people sliding or otherwise falling onto concrete stairs.

and finally...

4. The occasions when the skateboard "chases" the would-be Tony Hawk off the ramp and smacks him after he's already fallen as if to say, "Your balls are greater than your talent and for that I strike thee."

Just want to let you guys know I started a blog that was inspired by this "Jumping Failure" topic I started. I am going to expand on it to include more than than just jumping failure.

"It Seemed Like A Good Idea!" is the title of the blog.

http://islagi.blogspot.com/ (I don't update this anymore)

I have only added two posts for now, borrowed from this topic, but as you know there is plenty of fail out there.

Those spinning ones on your blog are beyond hilarious. I'm sitting here at school in a computer lab with tears running down my face.

Heh. :D

I felt the same way when I first saw them. It's amazing how so many people can get the same bad idea.

That chainsaw one is awesome. Back when I was a youngin' and lived in San Diego, there was a guy who would always try and scare the shit out of kids during Halloween. Crazy bastard would charge out of his yard with a chainsaw going, screaming bloody murder. I don't see stuff like that anymore. Nowadays, some parent would probably sue him for "traumatizing" their kids.

I keep forgetting to mention this here but you all should go check out failblog.org. It isn't all jumping failure but it is funny enough to make me cry.

Thank you. I know most of that stuff is just taken from elsewhere, but I haven't laughed this hard in awhile.
