Just got my mag in the mail today (Friday) and so got Resistance 3 when I went in to pick up my Halo 3 and ODST (on sale this week).

The thing is I had too many games in my backlog and so last year I set a rule for myself that I would only buy games for $10 or less. These fucking deals aren't helping with the backlog problem.
 
Went yesterday and picked up my $5 copy of Dragon Age 2. Still trying to get through Dragon Age: Origins, so it's going to be a while before I get to it.

I haven't got mine yet either.

Never got last months, due to the fact that the guy at the store signed me for the digital edition, even though I specifically asked for hard copy.
 
I don't know if anyone mentioned this yet. I priced matched Frys price for SSX of 29.99 and tried to use the 30 coupon but it did not take anything off. I also pricematched Soul Calibur (I didnt know it was 39.99) and it brought it down to 39.96. The coupon did work on Soul Calibur.

I am assuming as long as the coupon is less then the pricematch, the coupon will work. But since SSX was less then 30, it did not take anything off.

Giving the heads up in case someone was wondering.
 
Couldn't find DA2, the employee checked only Burbank and one other store has in stock in the greater LA area :/ Congrats on everyone who got one.
 
Can these be used all month? None of the prices are week long sales?

Sorry if this is covered, I didn't see it in the OP. I want to go get a subscription tomorrow and get DA2 and R3. If I get the mag there in the story, I can just buy them immediately?

The coupons listed in the are good from 6/5-7/14
Games should all be MSRP, so not on sale. Prices good till the coupon expires I would assume.
And yes you can use the coupon immediately. I bought a single issue to use a coupon before getting my subscription and used a coupon in the same transaction as the magazine purchase. Should work the same way with a subscription.

If the price were to lower and you have already used your coupon, would you be able to receive the difference or do you need another coupon?

It's better to wait for a sale or buy not using the coupon and wait till the final week for MSRP deals.
 
Sorry to hear about all you guys not getting the mag yet, if it was me I would be pissed (I got mine Wednesday luckily). Anyway, hope all you guys get it tomorrow.
 
pretty happy, just got mine in the mail today. picked up DA II today though with the help of the employees of my local best buy ( they let me use a store copy). not sure what else i wanna pick up, unless SSX goes on sale.

I just found out why I still didn't get magazine yet. Apparently the dude (or should I say dud) at Best Buy ignored my telling him to use the address on my license and instead went with a very old address in the system, so the magazine being sent to the wrong address.
 
I just signed up for GCU a couple weeks ago, so I haven't gotten my first issue yet.
I just stopped and asked if I could use a store coupon on Dragon Age, but they wouldn't let me. It was all kids in there who I don't usually talk to. I'm sure if it was the guy who is in charge of the game section, he would have let me do it. That guy is always hooking me up with deals, so I'm not going to sweat it. I just picked up another magazine and used that coupon.
I can always give the extra mag away to a friend or something.
 
I couldn't find MLB 11 used, so I bought a beat-up complete copy at my local Half-Price Books for $9.99. I did pick up Resistance 3 for $10, DA 2 for $5, but didn't see Deadliest Warrior even though Best Buy.com claims the store I went to had it in stock. I plan on waiting for SCV to go down to $30 and for SSX to go down to $30-$40 before picking them up.

I found a copy of resistance 3 and used the coupon of course along with some of my credit from my mod nation flips to get it without cash :). This is the fourth time I've brought resistance 3 lol. I have a good feeling that ssx or soul calibar 5 will go on sale starting the week after next week. Bring it on !!!!!

What iteration of DA2 are you looking for? Sherman Oaks had at least 25 or so copies for Dragon Age II on the 360.

the Tritton AX120s will be $19.99 on the 14th. being that the coupon applies to all Tritton AX series headsets, couldn't it be applied to that?

I think you've been misled by the OP. The coupon is for the Tritton AX Pro model; it doesn't say it'll apply to any other Tritton AX model.

Whoa,
Dragon Age II is pretty bad.
No wonder they needed to employees to write good reviews for it.

I guess $5 is about right for it then. May as well just keep it to see just how much worse it gets.

Dragon Age II is VERY bad.

I would not even recommend wasting $5 on it if you are buying to play it. DA II is like DA Origins' little brother with Down's Syndrome.

Waiting on a good sale for SSX
 
Wow, it's not that bad. It's just a huge departure from what made origins so great. There are some issues but the gameplay is still good and theres some good characters in it.
 
I played Deadliest Warrior for 20 minutes before i traded it in to gamestop.
Interesting game, reminds me of Bushido Blade by Squaresoft back on ps1 i think.
Where it only takes 1 good hit to defeat someone. good stuff ;)
i remember running around chasing after my brother playing that game ;)
lol that and tobal no.1. wow games were so bad just 15 years ago ;)

I could not play as a Warrior or a Rogue in DAII. I admit that the Mage class was fun to play but being a warrior/rogue and teleporting/jumping 10 feet in the air :booty:

As for good characters, none were remarkable to me. Isabella/Fenris had no personalities and were just there for their classes. I absolutely could not stand Merill. The only exception was Anders but his quests are still bugged. There was not a single character close to Loghain/Allister's level of character development.

Defiantly been wanting R3 for a while, but haven't got my Mag yet.. if it doesn't come tomorrow I might just ask to use the store copy.
 
Guess im one if the few that really enjoyed Dragon Age 2. Only thing I hated was recycled areas. Loved the story, characters, and prefer the more hack and slash console friendly approach.

That's why I'm shocked I didn't give it more of a playthrough when I had it originally. It just sat in my backlog after I played it the one night for maybe an hour. Then it got traded into BB with one of my game collections and that was that.

Same goes for Sacred 2, which I now wish I hadn't traded. I definitely liked that game as well, but on a smaller screen co-op was ridiculous.
 
I picked up R3, DA2 and Deadliest Warrior for PS3. R3 is awesome. Deadliest Warrior is kind of cool, not too much too it.
 
Yeah. Deadliest Warrior looked like a poor mans' Mortal Kombat to me. I'm still debating on Dragon Age II, though I think I'll only grab it IF I can PM my copy of Duke Nukem Forever down to the $3 price from the $5 or whatever I paid last month or so.:lol:
 
I'm actually fairly disappointed that I haven't gotten my mag yet, I was really wanting to pick up some of these games. DA2 and Soul Caliber V CE specifically. Maybe Deadliest Warrior for the hell of it. I typically get my mag closer to the beginning of the month, but alas not yet. Hopefully this week.
