I was driving around to out-of-the-way Gamestops to take advantage of the B2G1 sale, passed by a K-Mart and stopped inside. Near the electronics section, they had a sign up advertising 50% off select games this weekend (June 11 and 12).

When I leafed though the games in the display, it looked like pretty much the same selection as the last 50% sale. I remember Jak II, and a bunch of racing games - nothing too exciting. But last time, more games were 50% off than just those in the display so you may want to check it out.

Strange how some stuff that was 50% off last sale are no longer this sale. I know for a fact that LoZ: Link to the Past was $15 last sale as that is one of the games that I picked up.

Mortal Kombat Deception is a definite at $15... it's only the Xbox version, and it's not the LE version, as the bin here had all the copies in it.

For those interested: Zoo Keeper is definitely worth $10. It won't occupy you endlessly but it is a neat extra game to add to your collection. Like any good puzzle game it can suck you in for periods of time. My best session with it was an engrossing hour while I waited for my car repairs.

I just got Feel the Magic ($13.50 ac EB online with store credit)

Worth $15 . . . actually pretty neat game but it seems extremely shallow.

I went to another KMart and it didn't really have much, but there were a couple of titles that were on the 50% off table and I don't believe were mentioned yet.

Tiger Woods 2005 for the DS was stickered at $40 (sale price $20).
Final Fantasy XI w/HDD for PS2 was stickered at $100 (sale price $50).

I didn't have them scanned so I can only assume they were part of the sale.

Yeah, I've been looking for a complete LoZ: Link to Past for GBA. I was very happy when I went into a K-Mart and say they had one copy left. It did ring up as $20 when the sticker price was $30, but I figured that was their current retail price for it. I bought it at that price, since I haven't seen complete copies for that cheap almost anywhere.

I had the same disappointment when I found Fire Emblem, but it rang up as $30

Picked up Sprung and Zoo Keeper, for DS, for 9.99. Picked up the last copy of Baten Kaitos for a friend (He wanted to play it ten times more than I did, and I really couldn't spend the money) So, I'm happy I got Zoo Keeper-- fun game! Trying to decide if I really want Sprung or not.
 
OK, stopped again today, and they did have Tiger Woods (NDS), but I got it for $15, not $20 as the OP says. Just an FYI.

Also, PM me if you would like to trade a Mario vs. Donkey Kong (GBA) for the Baten Kaitos I picked up.
 
Swung by the other Kmart (out getting yard work supplies) and found Mario v DK in the case, not in the sale bins. Also picked up a $7.50 Midway Arcade classics.

In both cases the worker was clueless when they rang up on sale :)

Darn! both of my Ks had FF 1&2 and Fire Emblem . . . not on sale
 
Damn.. these sales blow sometimes, because K-Mart never puts out a list of what exactly is on sale, so there is always these mystery games because the workers are too lazy to throw them all in the bin.

I wish K-Mart would do this sale, and put the whole list in the Sunday ad. I went to three different K-Mart's... one told me the list got thrown away, another told me they lost the list, and the other said the list was "classified".

The sad part is most of the time, they don't have a clue of what's on sale and what isn't, even with the list.
 
Too bad I was out of town on this sale, if anybody picked up an extra Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland, I would be interested in buying it from you.

WTF!? CLASSIFIED? Oh, yeah, that's a great way to run a promo - put things on sale and then deny the information about what is on sale to the customer. Very bizarre. I've learned over the last several sales not even to try to ask the Kmart employees about the sale. Get the list here and then ask for whatever you want (yes, I realize that someone has to generate the list, by my local Kmarts are useless for that info). It has never failed. One time, though, I had a dude in the Electronics section of one store refuse to get something out of the case to check for me - he "helped' me with a price by walking over and reading the price tag through the glass case (where I had just been). I turned around and left.

At least their prices are nationwide and not the crazy messed up YMMV that TRU clearance prices are... So when you see it here it will most likely work at your store. I give Kmart credit for having that together!
 
hahaha not a bad story, this past Sunday i went in and they had the two games i mentioned in a previous post so i just wanted to be 100 percent on Zookeeper considering that it wasnt in the 50% section of the case. I go over to the kid and ask about him scanning it for me. He tries telling me that it was only friday and saturday and it wouldnt work. I went back over to the case and grabbed all the signs and in the nicest way possible pointed out the words Saturday and Sunday. I got Zookeeper for 10 bucks

90% of the time, that's correct, the Kmart prices are the correct prices nationwide. Occasionally, there's some differences, like one CAG getting a MP4/Wavebird bundle for $35 and another having it scan out at $70.

Though, as a general rule, yes, they're the same everywhere, unlike TRU.

That happened to me at Target with a game. They insisted it was $49.99 and refused to price check it. I came back the next day and the same employee was there so I just asked to buy it, it rung up for $10.98 as I expected.

What I now do is not ask for a price check. I act like I want to buy the game, then if it does ring up for more than the price I want, I either say "Oh, I thought it was less, I don't want it, sorry" or buy it and return it later.
 
Was MK: Deception for Xbox seriously only $1? I visited the store today and they had everything I wanted, but they didn't want to scan anything.

I was hoping some of the prices may have stuck.
