What this is is that they are stopping production (or already have stopped [more likely]) of the 60 gig model, but people weren't supposed to talk about it yet. I guess not everyone got the memo... With the way sony does business, that is EXACTLY what is going on. Figures. Leave it to sony to kill in less than a week the only real momentum they've had since launch. What, are they taking tips from nintendo now? WiiFit my ass...

Well I'm not surprised....I think its been stated many times over that they are going to discontinue the backwards compatibility.

Obviously, just as they did with the 20gb models, the 60gb consoles will be phased out as well.

If insist on getting one that plays PS1 & PS2 games, get the 60gb now!!!
