EDIT2: Release date delivery has been added as an option! Free for Prime members, $5.98 for regular customers.

EDIT: Looks as though Amazon has raised the price on the game to $59.99, with the coupon, it would now be $54.99 shipped.

Dont have Prime but still ordered it with the Release Day delivery.. came out to about 61 with the coupon.. This game bettter be worth it.. never preordered a game . Thanks OP
Correct. Came out to $53-54 shipped. Much nicer. DLC is region locked, but you can make a UK DLC account.
What site did you order it from?
Wow, for a nominal fee Amazon will ship the game on its release date.
Release date DELIVERY, not release date shipping. There's a difference.
It might not show up for a few days. Took me 3 days for it to be a Quick Pick.
Took me about that (maybe even 4 days) but it finally showed up. I signed up for Prime to get the free Release Day delivery (which I may cancel before the free month is up to make this REALLY worth it, but I *do* order enough per year that it could be worth it to keep). Here's my breakdown:

59.99 Price
+ 0.00 Shipping/Handling
- 3.00 Gold Box Discount
- 0.00 Pre-Order Guarantee
- 5.00 Promotion Applied
51.99 Total Before Tax
+ 4.16 Estimated Tax
56.15 Order Total

As always (or at least since June of last year when it went into effect) all orders to New York state are taxed (which is complete bull$hit, if you ask me). For those of you that don't have Prime and don't mind waiting an extra week for delivery, go with the Super Saver option -- free shipping but it takes a long time.

Thanks to everyone here for their help!

cant believe (on 3 accounts too) that its the only thing in the recommended section for 7 days now and not once did it show up in the quick picks section...weird!

guys you dont have to cancel then re-order it to get the free release day shipping.

just go to "view orders" and then click "change shipping method"

it still shows as free if you are prime.

My observation is that if you leave only one item in your recommended list, the quick picks would use it and it also won't appear in the "Today's Recommendations For You" section of the page (http://www.amazon.com/gp/yourstore/). That section would be empty. When I leave 11 items in the list, they appear in the "Today's Recommendations For You" and some of them actually make it into the quick picks. Again, this is my only observation and YMMV.

^^ same, release date shipping for $51.xx amazing, beats $65.xx in store on same day =) I don't even have to leave the house LOLOL naw I gotta work that day haha
Just got Upgraded to Free Release Date Shipping
Same... sweet deal

Can the same item appear more then once in the gold box? Because about a month ago, I got it in my GB but decided to just get it in store since I didn't want to bother with the waiting or doing that return trick. Now with the release date option, Its actually better plus I can save like $8 + gas.

tried the coupon code in the front but it expired. Not a prime member so i would pay $60 even with free shipping and won't be able to get the game for 2 weeks after release... I'm just going to pay the extra $4 in tax and buy it at BB or Walmart.

another confirmed on the $5 off code not working anymore...oh well...might just pick this up for the HOME gear. Release date delivery saves me driving up the street to Super Walmart for a whopping extra dollar.

This just showed up in my goldbox @56.99, and I tried the coupon and it worked. $51.99 shipped w/ Prime, arriving on Friday.

When do release date delievery orders ship? tommorow? My status still says not shipped, im not suprised but i figure it has to by tommrow.

I'm actually pretty interseted in the ship times myself....after seeing my order was "still not shipped" I attempted to see if I could re-order it with the now working coupon code, and it still let me choose release date delivery, (apparently you can STILL get it through most of Thursday) which blows my mind.

Either way, cancelled the old order, saved $5 and it's they say it's going to be here on Friday. I guess I figured they just shipped it 2 days early on the hush hush to avoid street date breaks and then miraculously charged you on the release date. I doubt they're overnighting every pre-order...but what else makes sense?

What's awesome is that I got this game when it was $51.99 and since they gave me $20 credit for the SF IV Stick, I'm only now paying $31.99 for this!

I'm unjustifiably bummed that amazon isn't automatically bumping me to release date shipping. Of course, I don't have Prime (and can't due to my location), but they actually did it for me for several of the new releases when the promo was first offered late last year.

It was cool to see the "shipping soon" status a week before the game was supposed to be released!

I'm really curious as to what Amazon is going to do in this situation.

Are they really going to overnight everyone's package or are they just going to fuck up and not release date delivery?

I figure I'll get mine on Friday either way because I'm so close to a distribution center that even two day packages and FSSS (when I used that) would get to me in one day.

The customer service rep couldn't (or didn't want to figure out how to) bump me to release date delivery. Instead, he moved it from the free two-day to the 3.99 one-day and refunded me the 3.99. I'm fine with getting it on the day after release if it means I get to keep my sale price.

what the heck, its thursday, and still no shipping confirmation.

if i dont get my copy on friday im complaining like theres no tomorrow.

Hmm. My copy hasn't shipped and I have free release date delivery.

Oh well I am sure Amazon will come through for us.

Amazon always charges my card on the same day they ship, but I don't necessarily get the confirmation email right away.

I'm pretty confident in saying that they'll all ship today.

Don't worry about not having a shipped email yet. I used Release day delivery on a ton of games during the fall and I wouldn't get the email til sometimes as late as 10 PM. But my game was still here on release day.

I couldn't help but bite. :(

Managed to only spend $16.30 on it after the coupon + credit from Amazon's Norelco Phillips promotion during the holidays, which made this great deal far too tempting for me. Hopefully free release date delivery pulls through! :D
Just received Amazon Shipping Confirmation!
