I found out the hard way that ammo crates explode when you shoot them last night.
I can't seem to get the 5 turret kill thing either. I just have to find a game where the opposing team is filled with dummies who wont bother to take them out.
I managed to get a turret ribbon in almost every game last night. :)

Killzone.com seems to be down atm. Also, Sev continues to get shorter the more I play through the Campaign.

So true. I was thinking "Are all Helgast like giants? This table comes up to my shoulder..."

Maybe I'm crazy... but I don't see much of a problem with the default controls nor the aiming...

I don't see what the whole outrage is about either. The controls are fine for me but apparently a lot of COD4 players think otherwise.

They want aim assist back.

Um does anyone experience small bits of freezing during the single player campaign while loading? Every time it begins to load, everything freezes for a few seconds and then it's fine. It's actually gotten me killed at least twice.

There are parts where it loads as you're playing, but it shouldn't be more than 1 second, and I never had it happen in a firefight. It was always in an empty room, or hallway.

I saw your turrets all over the damn place last night. I know once it was on the enemy team and I'd toss a grenade and shoot it once or twice with the gun and it'd die. Of course, I was always getting taken out by someone attending it or walking by, but it was a suicide mission I was glad to take on. :D Then I think you were on my team and I saw them constantly as well. I was always checking if they were yours or the permanently placed ones.

I'm beginning to think that you're not actually looking through his eyes, but his armor. I recall some kind of electronic equipment there, so it might be a camera.

So I'm not the only one. Even the ISA are starting to look huge. I was in the middle of a scripted conversation and wondering why I was looking at Garza's bellybutton.
i got several suicides last night because i get to close and shotgun them.
If you check my stats you'll see a lot of suicides. 99% of them are from taking out Turrets the hard way. Which is why I should never be a squad leader. I'm a squad asset, sure. I charge down hallways recklessly after the enemy, I jump from great heights to take down escaping targets, and I place myself into enemy fire while planting/disabling explosives or to meatshield others doing it. Even as a medic I'm crazy. I'll be knee deep in the enemy just to revive or health pack friendlies. Just don't force me to be squad leader.

Dedicated snipers and non-crazies make the best squad leaders since they tend to live longer.

Whats up with the Assault badge? The first time I unlocked this I was able to choose from 3 different rocket launchers, 2 actual rocket launchers, and one gun that shoots these bombs that bounce all over the place, and after that first game I can only choose the gun that spurts bombs out. The rocket launchers are no longer there for me to switch to. Anyone else unlocked this yet?

Good game last night. Oh yeah, zew you got some more KZ tips.. the one you gave earlier worked good last night. Improved my score (a bit). This game isn't coming natural to me like COD does, I'm still on that learning curve.

That's so funny you say that cause I noticed the same thing. I think it was on the bridge of the ship after you
slam your fists on Garza's coffin.
. I was standing there next to the other squad members and they were so much taller than me and I was thinking WTF. So I started pressing the crouch button cause I thought it was stuck or something.

I'm the same way. I'll run straight out into the Saluman Market square to revive someone and then quick run back into the building. And if I'm not mistaken, you can zap people with that charger if you want to be a real medic warrior.
Honestly, IMHO, squad leaders are pretty useless if you have a good tactition.
Yeah, I'm surprised that anyone can throw the spawn points and not just a SL.

I like to cloak and hide in a corner and let my team members spawn on me too. Works well since that doesn't fade with time.

I like using them liberally around where the action is or put the where I expect enemy to be coming from. In smaller maps, I tend to hang around them. They're like the eyes in the back of my head. When I hear them going off, I know an attack is coming from that direction and either move to flank to take them out since my turret weakened them or get into a better position in the room to take on whoever is coming. They also knock out drones with rockets so on open maps if I see drones, I drop a turret nearby. On that one vasari hammer map I think my turrets probably took out a good 10-15 drones during an open field fire fight.

LOL. I've at least killed 5 people by meleeing them with the medic zapper since I was too busy to switch to the gun.

I've never been a fan of the CoD series, but I just recently played CoD2 on :360: and aim assist was just annoying. Half the time it didn't work right. Maybe it was improved in later versions though.

Yes. It's not long and not in the middle of anything, but it's annoying.

I thought that too, then I thought it was a glitch or something so I restarted the game

Maybe I play too many PC games, but I thought all games were like that while loading?
You guys know of any PS3 headset deals.
Any run of the mill cellphone bluetooth headphone will work.
You guys know of any PS3 headset deals.
Be careful. Especially if you have a surround sound system. Some bluetooths can be super quiet. I am in the process of picking up a super loud one so I can actually communicate with people on PSN.
Any run of the mill cellphone bluetooth headphone will work.
yeah, I have a run of the mill Headset, and I also have the warhawk jabra set. I was thinking about upgrading to the PS3 one though. Or maybe I should just wait..
Maybe I play too many PC games, but I thought all games were like that while loading?
Loading, yeah, but I've played plenty of games where it would either load the entire level or did intermittent loading smoothly enough I didn't notice.

my issue is that I don't feel like I'm getting the messages, I don't hear people talking that much, its not clear, and I don't think I'm getting the entire message when people talk... its like its getting cut off. I was thinking that it might be an router issue, but I figured I'd try to upgrade the headset first and see if thre's an improvement.

A lot of that is the fact that they are using cheap headsets.
You can tell when someone is using either a quality BT headset, or a wired USB one. Sound quality is pretty clear for the most part.

They updated the forum topic, especially in regards to the control issues:

Controller Issues
We have not stopped looking into the complaints and will see what we can do about it. Any possible changes will have to be carefully implemented and tested before being deployed though.
We will have an update on this later this week.

Most likely this will be a long process until we get what we want, but it looks like they will further address it, and not patch it, in a week.

About the short hero... I think Broly's right... I think we're not looking through his eyes, but through his chest. In a few scenes where the camera "flys into his head" you see it actually flys to near his shoulder... And I don't know why I'm so concerned about this.

And... it may not come to a surprise to those who I play Warhawk with, but when I checked my stats after beating the game I found that I had the most kills with... you ready... the knife. Freaking priceless.
Game froze as I got the final hit on the final boss

fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck
fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck
fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck
Ah balls! Don't worry I believe it saves at the part where you do 1 on 1.

That boss fight was really friggen hard. The part with all the guys with Rocket Launchers was a PAIN in the ass.
I froze a few times during the game aswell. Also I freeze a lot playing LBP. I don't know what's going on with the PS3.

Well, I did manage to turn it back on and beat it. Thankfully it did save right before the final part of that fight. Just...seriously, that fight is pretty ridiculous. I need to go back and get pretty much every piece of intel and Helghast signs. I think I destroyed...6 signs and got 8 pieces of Intel. At least this campaign's longer than Halo 3's...although not by much
maybe 30 minutes
.

The rocket launcher electricity boss ship thingy is fucking hard. Anyone have any tips? I'd like to try and finish the campaign so I gotta get this over with.

I was going to say I spent more time playing Halo 3, but I did it on... Mythic... or whatever the highest difficulty was, the first time through, so I tooook my time.

I noticed hanging back and taking out enemies don't work well in this game. At least in some areas they'll keep coming.

I just played the entire SP campaign... and I don't know what you're talking about... You mean the ATAC thing? The thing that looks like a sentry bot?
Shoot the blue electricity things on whatever side of the building it's on. That stuns it, then shoot it with the rockets.

You have to shoot the Tesla Coils on either side and hope it goes over them, then send a rocket its' way.

You should.........

Grab the rocket launcher, jump down on either side. There's a little tunnel where it can't get you. It'll come over though, shoot the blue things with your handgun, hit it with the rocket launcher when its stuck, after two shots hit the blue things again and then 2 more rocket launcher shots to finish it.

i just wish if kz2 has a party system. arent you guys tired of not finding your friends? having them on the same team? or even squading up every match?

Yeah, I can't believe a top tier game like this didn't come with this feature.
