I'm taking this from KrazyKeyur at FW who took it from BFads.net.

Edit: the Friday/Saturday Ad has Star Wars Battlefront 2 for PS2 for $13. May be a misprint where they meant 1. Oh well!

Kmart advertises $7.99 games for BF. They show four for the PS2.

The question is, are these the only eight dollar games or will there be a bunch more? I think it's only these because there is a quantity limit of 2.

That's what I'm planning on doing, too. :D I'll get 3 and then trade them in at GR for about $30 each. $41.31 cash (after taxes) turned into at least $90 credit is fiiiine by me. AWESOME! :D

And of course, modding is illegal, so I'm obviously a jackass if I did something like that. Go ahead and flame me for it.

Sorry to shit on your parade, but if BF2 is $13 only on Black Friday, stores WILL NOT pricematch it since no pricematches are done on Black Friday. I work at CC and have been through 2 BFs, so I know this to be true.

Hate to shit on your shitting of our parade, but this deal is good for Saturday, too. :booty: This is from the Friday-Saturday ads, not just K-Mart's BF ad. There are two separate ads. Here's the link to the BF and more ads: http://www.bfads.net/adscans.html. If it works: cool. If not, I can wait and get it cheap one of these days. It's not our fault K-Mart screwed up the ad, but man do I want the Xbox version.

Sorry but I can bet money this is a misprint I'm sure Battlefront 1 is $13. Also all the flyers have notices that say they do not have to honor misprints. Good luck to those who try and get the deal.

If I'm gonna drive an hour to the nearest Kmart, they're sure as shit going to honor the mistake that they didn't catch prior to distribution. They have the option (and at quite a loss to them) to cancel circulation of that particular ad, but would they risk losing that much BF weekend business over it?

BTW - I used to be a production supervisor at a newspaper in California, so I know these ads are already in the hands of the newspapers weeks, if not months ahead of the distribution date. Plenty of time for the nice people at Kmart to catch it and cancel distribution.

They probably won't do that and for all of us that have BB, CC, and Sears around will just be glad to take this ad to them and get this for real cheap. But for us that will be doing this it's best to do it early because the later you wait the other stores will catch on and stop honoring the ad.

I don't even like Star Wars games but I might buy this one just because of the cheap price just to see what the Battlefront games are about.
 
So will the actually ad be in papers on Thanksgiving? Because everytime I print out an ad online and take it into a store, no one ever honors it for me. Will it be in the local papers or just about every paper around?

Yes. It will be in the big T-Day newspaper along with all the other local Black Friday/Weekend sales. I would think that most stores don't accept online print-outs of ads because of the chance that they could be forged (as some CAGers here have even done :shame: ).

Yeah, the ads should be in every major paper. Sometimes, though, due to shortages, some of the late-run papers may not have all of the ads, but the odds of that happening are fairly slim.

frequently when i go to stores (especially kmart) they'll have signs posted on the doors and by the product saying that the ad was a misprint and give the correction so they don't have to honor it.
