Things went smoothly at the Bradley / Bourbonnais IL store once again. Didn't see anything about a "collectible print," but I honestly didn't want it. Junk cluttering up the house and such. Seems like the kinks and rough edges have been worked out over the past few months. Your system is absolute genius.

While he is most certainly trolling, I agree with his sentiments on Deus Ex and Catherine. Haven't played Demon's Souls yet, but I tend to avoid overtly difficult games, especially ones that require you to replay the same sections over and over.

I really don't see why people are harassing this guy. Maybe if you weren't so narrow minded, you would realize that not everyone can get this item. I'll be the first to admit I've sold hundreds of items like these over the past 2 years and around 70% of them went to overseas buyers.

Here's what I've gathered. I might have some details wrong, somebody feel free to correct any details or add anything I've missed.
Most of the bad blood started when Josh was going through some personal family issues that required him to step away from work for a short time, followed by a vacation and Captain Dipshit decided to publicly bitch and complain that Kmart wasn't putting out enough offers for him. It was later found out that he is a reseller who isn't taking advantage of these sales to get a game he wanted or a cool deal, he's doing it pretty much solely for profit. Even if the profit is minor or even negligible, he's still buying out items from a store to make a profit and taking away the opportunity for a real customer who actually wants the item to come in and buy it to sit down, open it and play it instead of to take home and list on eBay.
Look at some of his recent feedback. I see six copies of Alan Wake sold at $18.99. Gee, didn't Kmart just have those on sale for $9.99 the other week? I wonder how many customers missed out on getting that game at his store(s)?

But again, the main problem people have with him is that he had the balls to complain that Kmart wasn't doing enough sales over the summer (a dry period anyways, game-wise) when the guy in charge had to deal with the fact that his father passed away.

Maybe this might be overly wishful thinking on my part, but I actually think there will be something additional, kind of like with the Deus Ex deal. Again, just wishful thinking on my part!

I've never purchased Madden at full retail price, but Josh's deal definitely has me intrigued. If ever there was a deal to entice getting Madden at full MSRP, then this is probably going to be it for me.

dues ex is like metal gear solid 4 meets mass effect. still playing it, but it just beat out Portal 2 for my GOTY this year (though heavy hitters like Uncharted 3 and Dark Souls are still up for contention).

Demon's Souls really isn't that hard. I know that was what the media hyped up, but really, it's just that you can actually die... whereas in most games nowadays you instantly start at a checkpoint 5 feet away. You lose any souls you've collected (think money) but can go back and get them. And even if you lose them permanently, it's not actually that important as they're easily available. Oh, and it's the best game this gen.

The only thing about Demon's Souls that's important is that you're capable of learning from your mistakes -- the vast majority of deaths come from being stupid - running into a room without your shield up, or trying to fight with a broadsword in a tight tunnel.

I have no respect for ebay sellers who take a deal that a national chain has and thinks, no, you can't get in on that deal. I'm going to buy the stock of that deal, and then make you buy it from me at a much higher price. Why? because I got there first. Because I bought them all. Because I wanted to sell them for that much.

Sure, they can do whatever they want, it's not illegal, etc. But I can still think of them as scumbags and assholes and jerks.

My sentiments as well.
There are some people, college students and stuff, who buy a couple games here and there to flip at GS to be able to buy stuff they want down the line and I guess I don't find too much wrong with that, but when someone swoops in and ruins a deal for everyone else, fuck 'em.
"Oh, you really want to play this game that's on sale? It's the latest in your favorite series? You can go ahead and fork over twice what I paid for it then, because I bought every copy and you have no other option."
Luckily I haven't had to deal with El Hoardo anywhere in my area.

^This. If you're making money selling games on eBay; you either have a great distributer (meaning you get games for the same prices as retailers) OR as mentioned above you are selliing items overseas. I don't sell a lot but when I do more then 70% of my transaction are international.

Edit: I personally don't know how Harvey does it (I don't think he ships internationally); but anytime I get MSRP or above for an item I decide to list on eBay it is going somewhere outside the U.S.

A lot of deals that don't get any attention on here (PES, FIFA, Mortal Kombat,) are highly desired games in other places of the world. Their was a post on SD about Walmart selling FIFA 12 (New) for Wii at $19.99. It only got two replies! (BTW it's now $49.xx with a $20GC) Do you know how desired that game will be in a few weeks?

Again personally I would never clean out a store or rob someone of promotional items that I was getting free anyways (just to resell) because I think that is a poor reflection of self. But some of us do resell to make it more financially feasible to add to our collection.

As far as disrespecting Josh/Kmart during his hardship I didn't see Harvey's comments as such (perhaps because I had similar sentiments). I can only speak for myself but I think it was a glaring fact that since I started following Kmart deals (circa Starcraft II promo) that Kmart had put little if any effort into getting rid of slow moving games (those price $9.99 to $29.99).

What happened a few weeks after Harvey got railed for posting against Josh? A widespread sale on medium priced games and a $15 gaming coupon for spending over $40 in the same week.

Either someone is listening... or it's kind of creepy

Back to focusing on the deals, can anybody give an honest recommendation on ANY of those PS Move titles? Every review I've looked up for pretty much all of them has been mediocre to absolute shit.
Anybody have any hands on with any of them? Is there anything remotely worth the $10 for ANY of them? Figured I couldn't go wrong on testing some of them out for only $10, but when I can put that $10 towards a better game, I guess it's better to get some advice from some fellow gamers first.

Sports Champions is good. I like their ping pong better than the Kinect Sports version and their frisbee golf is fun. That's the only Move-required game I'd recommend.

Certain Move enabled games such as TW 12 The Masters, Heavy Rain and Resident Evil 5 Gold are kind of cool to play with the Move for a different experience. It's often more immersive to play these games that way.

If you go all-out and get a Nav controller and the Sharp Shooter, then the Move enabled FPS games like Killzone 3 and the upcoming Resistance 3 are actually pretty cool to play that way. It's surprisingly intuitive to control that way.
 
I noticed that at least my Kmart had clearanced out the PSP 2000 (not sure if it works with the 3000, I'll try it) AV Cables down from $19.99 to $4.99. I've been looking for these for awhile as I thought it'd be cool to be able to see myself playing on my big screen TV.

Also the Ear Force PX21 looked like it was clearnced down to $64 which is still higher then Amazon has it ($58.xx)

Question:

Has anyone bought PS3 Killzone 3 Bundles from Kmart? I thought it was kind of strange that after being sold out for a month or two all of a sudden my store had two in the display case after the $249.99 drop. I picked one up today and when I got it home I noticed the seal was carefully cut. I peaked inside and notice that their was a standard PS3 box inside the outer Killzone 3 box. I had experience with the Black Ops PS3 bundle and I believe this is typical of how Sony packaged this bundles (put a 160GB PS3 inside Killzone 3 / black ops outer box.

HOWEVER..

the inner PS3 box had the seal slit as well. When I opened it up everything was there but it was lose. Nothing was sealed or in protective plastic. The game was opened (Disc was still there) the dualshock 3 controller was just floating around and so weren't the AV cables. To make it worse their were fingerprints on the glossy finish where the power button is.

I want to switch this out for the other KZ3 ps3 but I know customer service can be iffy at Kmart.

This isn't normal is it? I'm really afraid someone switched out a console or has used this. I don't want to plug it in and try it out to see because I'm afraid any type of use will give Kmart leverage in not allowing me to return/exchage.

Thoughts?

Edit: I mean shouldn't the PS3 itself, the dual shock 3 controller and the AV / Power cables all be sealed in plastic wrap? Also I thought the manuals and promotional flyers came sealed in a plastic sleave as well.

What about the game? Does anyone know if that should be sealed?
 
Most the move games are pretty bad to be honest (outside of Sports Champions), but it's worth taking a shot on a few for $10. The Fight is good, but will frustrate you at times with how much you inadvertantly headlock people.

Not trying to be mean, but why not just get it this week and get the $20 coupon? I mean if you only have $40 to spend on it that is different or if there is really nothing coming up you want to use the coupon on.

Yeah, thats not a new console, I would return that for sure, but you might have some problems returning it, depends on the manager really, because in most cases they will automatically assume you're lying.

I guess I"ll be going back out, in a hurricane, to exchange this. I'm pretty sure I account for close to half of the business that my Kmart sees in the electronics department so I"m hoping they'll give me the benefit of the doubt. Aren't they suppose to check the seal prior to accepting a return?

Edit: I should have known better when two of these came back in stock. The employee said they were hiding out back. I'm going to assume someon was upset they paid $299.99 for it when it dropped to $249.99 or someone wanted exchange a faulty slim. Is their a serial # on the unit itself that should match up to the box?

I don't care that he flips games. What I care about is him coming in this thread and whining for days (maybe weeks?) that there are no deals happening and acting like he wanted the deals for himself, but he just wanted to stock his store.

You can always tell what side is wrong by who is defending who.

That is true but given that first week sales are very important, there's no reason for Josh to sell it at $40 next week or even if he was, announce it. So he was asking a dumb question. Could it be $40 somewhere next week? Sure. But unlikely and unknowable.

Can an opened/returned game system be sold as new?

I thought at that point they sent them back to the retailer or sold them as refurbished.

The serial # on the system matches the serial # on the box but absolutely nothing was wrapped in plastic. My first clue that something was up before I even checked the seal was hearing everything rattle around.

Typically I wouldn't care (and I partly blame myself for not being more observant prior to leaving the store) but I've heard so many storied about people switching our harddrives or returning DOA systems.

I'm off to Kmart. This should be interesting.

I saw online that Kmart is carrying SMT Devil Survivor Overclocked for 3DS, but when I called my local stores (Omaha, NE) none of them were carrying the game. Will this game even be stocked in-store, and if so is there a chance it will be stocked this week in order to take advantage of the b1g1 1/2 off sale?

Fry's has them 2 for $30 if you have 1 near by and Toysrus gives a $10gc if you buy 2 together.

It's not preference. Average cost among those games will forever be above $40 assuming you keep buying $60 games with $20 coupons. I'm not saying $60 with a $20 coupon is a bad deal, I'm just saying $40 straight up is a better deal.

And holy shit at The Shoot only being $10. I'm definitely going to pick that up. Might get Eye Pet too.

Gunna head on down later. Been waiting for that price for a while. And since i'm gunna buy the resistance 3 doomsday edtion i'll buy one of the move games on sale, maybe 2. Thanx kmart guy, this is my first post and I wanted it to be on this thread cause that deal on L.A Noire earlier was insane and since then i've been making most my game purchases at Kmart and following this thread. I was a fool, pre ordering games at gamestop for bs dlc all this time when Kmart has been offering $20 coupons on new games and have better weekly deals on aging games. Those are really gunna be handy as I wanna get Uncharted, Saint Row 3, House of the Dead, Ico collection, Dead Island, and UMVC3 (dodged the original release) this fall season.
 
So I stopped by Kmart after work, picked up The Fight for PS3 move, got home to realize you have to have 2 move controllers for the game to work lol. I don't know if it's worth buying another move controller just to play this game.
