Yes. As long as it's over $40 BEFORE you use a coupon, you're good.

The total BEFORE taxes must be over the value of the coupon. For example, if your coupon is for $20, you must buy at least $20 worth of gaming merchandise. (i.e. you cannot use a $20 coupon on one $19.99 game.)
You must present coupons before making payment, and redeeming points is a form of payment.

The total was 19.50.

According to the receipt...

3 x 3.50 for the Dew - 10.50 (now that I look at it THIS was the problem!)

3 x 3.00 for the chips - 9.00.

Just hit me it wasn't the error with the chips...it was the Dew 12 packs ringing up at 3.50 each instead of the three for eleven dollars shown on the rack. The employee and I were looking at the price of the third bag of chips and it never hit us that the Dew wasn't ringing up correctly either.

It isn't just about this though...the situation with the buggies was really bad. Not a single buggy for 15 minutes. I saw some people come in and wait a little bit and turn around and leave. Who knows how much money those people were going to spend and who knows if this sort of thing has happened before. The store wasn't THAT busy. I would think the people working for the store would probably want to know about it. And since I couldn't get any help at customer service to mention the problem to, I figure that at the very least Josh could forward the message to the proper channels so somebody in charge at the store could make sure this kind of thing doesn't happen.

Sutton, I hate to tell you this but kiss the baby and go to CS *Customer Service* and deal with the return.

Josh has to deal with tards releasing games early and employees failing to do there job and provide the games he is pushing deals on. You need to contact your store mgr and file a complaint.

I know Pepsi was 3 for $11. I'm not sure that Mountain Dew was though. They were 4/14, or $3.50 each. As someone else said earlier in the thread 4x Mountain Dew + 2 Bags of Chips would make it $20 even and get you your coupon.

Maybe it was mistake on the part of the person putting up the signs. The Pepsi 12 packs were on a completely different shelf so they weren't even next to each other.

And I understand Corona's points about Josh having other things to deal with but I'm sure he would want to know if people who are coming into the stores are turning around and leaving because there are no buggies for extended periods of time. K-Mart and Sears have both been struggling and having people walking out of the stores because they can't get a buggy is insane. I'm 36 and I've never seen that happen before. Yea...I could go and complain to the manager but who is to say the manager of the store will do anything about it? Sometimes it is better to go a little higher up to make sure things get taken care of. And I'm 100 percent sure people in the company would want to see it addressed prior to Black Friday.

Josh puts a lot of time into creating these specials...it doesn't do him any good if the stores are losing customers for simple things like this. It makes K-Mart look amateur. And while it might not be his responsibility to deal with things like this, I'm sure he knows who IS responsible for them and could make sure that person sees it.

Apparently you are failing to understand...I stood in line for twenty minutes waiting and there was no sign of talking to anybody soon...and this was all on top of the fifteen minute wait for a buggy in a store that wasn't that busy. It isn't like I walked up to CS and saw a line and left. I spent a total of 35 minutes standing in the store WAITING for nothing. If I can't get anything done about the cresit, so be it. I'm fine with that. But the service in the store today SUCKED beyond all belief. And I'm not the only person in this thread to complain about it.
 
So is MW3 in the Buy 1, Get 1 Half Off or not? It's listed here in this thread but on Kmart's site it's not, making me think it's not in the deal.

Hope someone can help. We are getting my son Skylanders for christmas, will it(the starter kit) work with the $110/-$50 deal? its the game so I'm thinking yes, but not sure. I know the add-ons won't work, but I haven't seen anyone answer about the game itself. Maybe Josh or StockBoy can confirm or deny? Thanks in advanced!

I get what your saying I have issues with KMart too its I think its kind of weird that instead of handling the shit in-store you came home to type out this complaint only to find out youre still $0.50 short and youll have to go back anyway for the coupon.

Honestly it sucks you had a bad experience and I hope you get everything sorted out but helping yourself goes a long way. Josh is a good dude I appreciate the work he puts in but I doubt there much he can do about your buggy situation or the speed of customer service.
 
So when you get the 15 and 35 coupons for next week's offer, can those be applied to the B1G1 50%? I'm thinking of getting Saints Row 3 and Rayman since it'll only cost me $20 out of pocket with all my coupons.

Ah I thought you were saying a buggy as in some kind of special cart or stroller type thing for a kid. How in the hell did they not have any carts lol. My store must have them all because there's usually literally 100 or so just sitting there never getting used.

haha...regional slang. southwestern Pa is great for it and I usually try to use "proper words" when on Internet message boards but sometimes I forget.

and I agree about the lack of carts. Like I said in the other post, I've never seen that happen before. And the woman at the CS desk told me they weren't any outside because somebody had just brought them all back in. I told her she might wanna order more prior to BF.

As for your Doritos boondoggle, that should be handled instore since you didn't purchase enough to qualify for the coupon.
 
Just posting again because my original post is about 4 pages back and no one commented at all. Is there anything I might be able to do about a lost coupon, or am I entirely out of luck?

My local Kmart has way too many handicapped parking spaces. At the most I've only seen one handicapped parking space being used during a visit to your store. Is there any way you could reduce the amount so I don't have to walk the extra five feet? If that's not possible, could you start some sort of shuttle service? My feet are killing me.

p.s. There's a clean up needed on aisle four. Could you please come mop that shit up?

4 local stores, not one had a clue about or would honor this deal. one store said that even though the coupon was still valid and they had the game in stock they wouldnt honor the deal because it was close to the last day of the deal and they have a first come first serve policy???!!!!??? WTF how does first come first serve apply if the game is in stock and avalible for purchase ?????

I'm not sure what deal you're referencing but the registers will override whatever crazy bullshit the meth-addled employees are feeding you.

If a coupon prints and they steal it away from you, email josh and they'll probably be filing for unemployment soon. Still sucks though.

Food for thought: Since Super Mario 3D Land has its own coupon offer, I believe it's not part of the B1G1 Half off promo since there's a space between those 5 new game releases (along with MW3 and Skyrim) on the OP.

Next week is going to be very strategic for me since I'm planning to get the maximum $100 in coupons. I just have to think of the other game to buy when I pick up MW3 on Tuesday and Skyrim on Friday.
 
Welp, missed out on LotR. Went Wednesday to check for MW3 and they didn't have any of Tuesday's releases except for Uncharted 3. So I debated the rest of the week whether I should get LotR and finally I decided to go in right now before closing and get it for $30 with the specific coupon and a $20.
No go though. They still did not have Goldeneye, Sonic, or LotR. The woman checked and said she made sure she got some releases out last Sunday and Uncharted but she never saw anything else except for MW3.

I know Josh is great with customer service, but I'll let the coupon go and pass it up for now I guess. It will save me $30 that I can put towards something else. I also need to start work on some generic resumes in preparation for my upcoming unemployment and between that, spending time with my family, AC:R, MGS HD Collection, Halo Anniversary, Skyrim, SMvC3, SR3, and MW3, I don't need another thing taking up my time.

Sad. I missed out on using my $10 coupon as well. I almost forgot that LOTR came out this Tuesday and went today to go pick it up and sadly they were out of stock. I'm really disappointed in myself for not getting there earlier and losing out on the $10 coupon. Guess I'll be redboxn' the game.

Some might still have them, though I couldn't tell you what their prices are. If you need a replacement DS, the best place to check is Radio Shack. They've had everything through the DSiXIL on clearance at a considerable markdown, though it's been two months and you might not find one now.

It's an incredible game if you're a fan of the genre and/or LOTR. I'll admit it has some issues here and there but the combat and loot is extremely satisfying. Slo-mo orc decapitations are the best thing I've seen in a game this year.

I guess individual store manager or associate stars to make up his/her own store policy periodically. From my experience, I heard two different new store policies from two electronics cashiers in the same store on the same day...

Curtis said it should have rang up at 4.25 since it was an odd number and not a two-for. I asked if I could get another bag to put it over but he said the transaction had already been put through and completed and the only way was to go back to customer service and have them refund the money and redo the purchase.

I went back to CS only to find a line. I stood there for nearly twenty minutes waiting because they were taking FOREVER with the people in front of me. I finally gave up and left because it didn't look like they were going to get to me any time soon and my four year old was starting to get irritated sitting there waiting.

I usually have good experiences shopping at the store and Curtis really knows what is going on in the gaming department. But this today, between the buggy fiasco and missing out on the game credit, really ticked me off.

I just checked me e-mail and the store DID e-mail me a copy of the receipt. I could e-mail a copy to you if you want to take a look at it. I was really hoping to use the credit on Tuesday.

This post would have made me laugh if I werent mad I wasted time reading it. But it does remind me that my kmarts havent had ANY MW3 MD the last two weeks, talked to the molesterstache-rocking assistant manager to tell the vendor to stock that shit last week, and still none today. Is it normal for kmart store managers to work 11 am-4 pm? Cause that is what the ones at my kmarts do, as explained by employees.
 
Another thing, how the heck did stores get selected for the midnight release? Isnt that a pretty random assortment of stores? Are these the ones that have been performing the best in game sales or something?

And I have read that IT told SHC Josh that previous coupons would work with the 120/$50Q deal but it has NEVER worked that way, and I pretty seriously doubt it will this time. Can someone from the midnight release report on this issue (buy 2 games,, use 1 $20 coupon, still get your $50 in coupons back)?
 
I have a question for Josh.

I am an RA at my university and this past Friday I put on a big COD tournament. The winners will receive copies of MW3 on Tuesday, paid for by our school's Residence Life. I however have to buy the stuff initially and I get refunded later. I always use the tax exempt form when buying things for the RA position because they do not fund us back tax.

My question then is, if I were to go purchase two copies of MW3 on Tuesday, thus qualifying for the $50 coupons, would the deal be nullified if I use my tax exempt form as well? Or should I simply eat the cost of the tax so that I could get the gaming coupon as well?

I'm jealous. I'm an RA too (this is my 7th semester as one, graduating next month!!). We have a $100 per semester budget, and we each have to do at least 1 event each month. I wish I had the money to do something cool like that. Guess that's what I get for being at a very small school.

Eat the cost of tax. Why should you gain personally on a tax exempt purchase? Tax exempt = not for profit. $50 coupon = profit. Unless you were to use the coupon for RA purposes, eat the tax.
 
Coupons appear to work for online purchases now? Maybe everyone knows but I didn't. Add in "Get an Extra 10% Off Electronics, Video Game & Accessories".
