Just thought I was interpreting the offer wrong, to be honest.

It would be strange if Nintendo suddenly had a MAP restriction just for DK Returns... if I remember correctly, every first party Wii game going back to Mario Galaxy 2 has had a $20 coupon.
 
Is it crazy that I think I'm going to skip the COD:Black Ops deal? I also think I need to hop off the coupon train because I'm spending too much money at K-Mart and my backlog is crazy.

How is that an acceptable alternative to the MAP restriction? I'm not arguing, but I'm very curious. Will only one 10.00 coupon be advertised outside of CAG? That way a second ten dollar coupon is "accidentally" printing out?

I'd actually rather just have one $20 coupon since I'm guessing these won't stack and two $10 coupons means I have to make two more purchases. Still if it is two $10 coupons, I suppose that is a pretty good deal.

Do we even know there is any sort of MAP restriction though?

This may just be Josh trying out a new approach. Two $10 coupons gives less of a discount (so more profit) and ensures you've got to make at least two purchases now, maybe even making two trips back into the store.

With one $20 coupon, you're getting a pretty big discount and you're one and done.
 
Two $10 DKCR coupons is better than the 0 I've seen everyone else offering. I'm happy with it. The first $10 will go in towards Epic Mickey, and the other... well, I'll just have to see. I could use another wiimote...
 
So was looking at the Mygopher thing added to Brotherhood and I know it states that Josh will explain in more details what that's all about.

Anyone know without having to bug him if I can buy it online use a 20 dollar coupon and get the 10% off as well, all while being able to pick it up in-store?

It hasn't been stated why at all. I know Josh was trying hard to institute certain deals for DKR, and I believed he mentioned being limited by MAP restriction though I could be thinking of another game.

Nintendo might be thinking that people buying DKR might be buying other Nintendo games such as Epic Mickey and might not want to be giving too much of an insane discount.

or it can simply be like others have stated and Josh trying something new, but my money is on this is all Nintendo was willing to let go for now. All in all its still better than a banana pouch or a bunch of nothing from other retailers.

All in all like others have said its still a better deal than other retailers. Sure beats a banana pouch.

My store seems to not ever want to restock those ;)

I'll probably just give the other $10 coupon away to a friend... Epic Mickey is going to be my last game related purchase of the year (and I'm hoping that coupon lasts just long enough to get something in January) and I'd rather not just toss it.

I'm probably in the 1% though that has bought everything this year they have wanted (and the only two things I didn't, Dragon Age and the upcoming NFS, K-Mart is handling for BF), so I'm sure others will have a use for multiple coupons :) Still not a bad deal but just not for me, but like I said, my situation is certainly unique.
 
Will Kmart be getting anymore of the red wii's or no? If so I would love to get DKR as well as a red wii if kmart will be getting enough of them to go around.

My manager today said more were on the way to our store. I would think its the same for other stores that sold them fast.

The store I go to in Kearny, NJ never has any of these in stock. Has really been annoying, someone needs to give the person in charge of ordering these for the store a smack in the ass.
 
2 $10 coupons is better than 1 $10 coupon, but the problem is keeping the same expiration period. It was easier to budget/find something to buy once a month. Having two coupons that need to be used on two separate transactions but keeping the same 30-45 day expiration isn't that appealing, especially since nothing comes out in December really.
 
One problem with the rewards card that I am sure has already been posted....I used my 26 bucks I had on there today to pick up another copy of Black Ops for my son....

So it seems you can not use a credit card to pay for the rest of a transaction if any of that transaction was paid for with your rewards points....

Not sure if this is for all rewards or just Oklahoma stores, but my bank charges a debit fee when I use my card as a debit card instead of credit so I lost 1 dollar in this process...not the end of the world but still sort of sucks...
 
I really doubt they will be getting anymore red wii's because they are sold out on kmart online site and seems like lots of other places are selling out and they've had a week to get more. Plus employees at 2 kmarts I shop at told me they would not be getting anymore so I'm skeptical if we will actually be seeing more of these on the shelves. Wonder if the 25th anniversary mario-stars will be so limited?

Just picked up Black Ops for PC and almost everything went fine. The system would not allow my $20 coupon to work on the game, as it said it wasn't eligible. We still haven't gotten PC games to ring up with these coupons? She ended up overriding the system and giving me $20 off, but it took a few extra minutes to do it. On the plus side, got my 25,000 points no problem.

Also just realized I never got a patch with the game. Never even thought about asking for it until I got home and it was never offered to me. Is it even worth going back to try to get it?
 
Loving the $30 coupon with Splatterhouse. Epic Mickey will end up costing me $5. :D Probably wouldn't get it at all if it wasn't for the coupons and basically being the last game I'm remotely interested in for the rest of the year.

And after reading about everyone complaining about not receive it over the past few days and not being able to respond was destroying my inner-psyche.

It is 100% worthless.
 
I just tried to use my 20 dollar coupon from buying starcraft on call of duty black ops and it didn't work, the cashier showed me the display and it said requirement not met, how am i supposed to know what games this coupon is going to work on?

You know, I never really took the time to look at whats included in the Epic Mickey CE..

And your right, it really isn't worth 20 bucks..The figure is really small, the faceplates are pretty worthless, and the box is probably going to be flimsy. The bonus disc seems interesting, but for 20 dollars, I don't think so, I can just youtube that shit.

Looks like i'll be waiting to see what the offer is on the AC:B CE before deciding which one i'll be getting. Then after that i'm done for this year buying games. :cold: (Oh damn forgot the mario collection, nvm)

One can only hope someone else copies that 50 dollar gift card with PS3 system, not the Move bundle preferably. Oh and I hope Uncharted 2 isn't the pack in game cause I finally own it and I'd be annoyed if I could've gotten it free.
 
Hey Josh, will the coupons have different barcodes so they can be used in one transaction later on? Say on the Super Mario Bros Collection.

I was going to ask the exact same thing. I'm guessing they will have the same barcode and won't stack, because if Kmart wanted them to stack, why wouldn't they just give us a single $20 coupon?

I'm pumped for all these deals either way, and have dozens of things to pick up regardless of coupon size.
 
I'm sure there's more deals yet to be revealed as he's been hinting at PS3 w/ $50 off coupon. There are some GREAT deals on that list, looks like I'm picking up more than I anticipated!:bouncy:

If that is Arkham Asylum GOTY for PS3 also then... :bouncy:

I don't have a PS3 yet & likely won't before end of the year, however $35 for DAUE would be really difficult to pass up for that price.

The deal has been canceled, he's looking into getting the $39.99 price as he was never informed of that MRSP.

Hey Josh, just wondering if there will be any upcoming deals on DJ Hero 2? Also, thanks for all the deals as I've purchased NBA 2K11, Fifa 2011, Halo Reach, Black Ops, and Rock Band 3 from Kmart.
