A couple of things I learned at kmart today:

1. Probably mentioned before but the $5 Epic Mickey game case no longer gives you the $15 dollar gaming coupon.
2. Picked up Golden Sun today for $34.99 and Dragon Quest IX for 14.99 (50% off ) (Also used a $15 gaming coupon on it) and this gave me the $10 coupon for Golden Sun AND the $15 coupon for 39.99 and above. Just saying it to confirm.
 
Picked-up Epic Mickey and the Paintbrush nunchuk at midnight at the Kankakee, IL KMART. No problems with multiple coupons, and the new $20 coupon is good 12/5 through 1/10/11 :)
 
Hey I've got a quick question, is the Coupons redeemable on the Kmart Store online? I was unable to find a code on my coupon that would work online. Any help would be appreciated.

Already quite a few out there...77 average so far on Metacritic. http://www.metacritic.com/game/wii/disney-epic-mickey The only major sites I see missing are Gamespot and Giant Bomb. I'm still torn about picking it up myself. Only thing making me consider getting it is the fact that I have all these coupons and nothing I really want to use them on. Only one I have to use this week is the $15 coupon from the Epic Mickey offer but I might get some MS points or something and hold out hope for sales on GT5 and a handful of others I passed on.
 
I'm sort of in the same boat; from what I've seen it seems like a good rental, but I was saving coupons for it and 2 expire this week. Maybe I'll browse my store's selection and see what I can do about those.

I just picked up 3 copies of metroid prime trilogy for 12 bucks a piece after coupons and got 45 back in coupons not a bad deal :)
 
Is anyone else having trouble requesting points credit via the SYWR site for Kmart? I have a few receipts from last week I want to enter and cant!

I’ll probably do the same. I was mostly interested in the game because my wife wanted it. After reading the IGN review I had this bad feeling that when she gets further in the game she’ll get frustrated with the camera/controls and the plat forming etc. I personally find those kind of things to be a minor annoyance but for someone like her who most of their video game experience comes from 2D side scrolling games it would be super annoying. I have approx. $40 in coupons so this would make it a cheap buy + the $20 GC that it would print. Even though I’m getting it for cheap I still see it as a full priced game considering the coupons aren’t valid on JUST Epic Mickey. I’m kind of tempted to buy Golden Sun & DQ9 but I have a feeling if I do that I’ll end up with DQ9 for Christmas as Target had it on their BF ad for $17.

Surely Dish Network is paying Kmart to put these in people's hands. That was a bad investment.

It looks like all $40+ games will add the coupon to your account.

We can stack multiple coupons for 1 game right? I might buy Donkey Kong for $15 if so after Mickey+Kirby
 
so josh I picked up mass effect 2 (where was this on bf ?) and golden sun dd and no coupons printed out.
so disappointing however email headed your way

I was wondering, if you used your SYWR card in store, do you still need to enter your receipt online?

I appreciate it too. But have you had them tear them up into tiny little pieces before throwing them away? :D
 
Just wanted to highlight a funny/slightly disturbing encounter....

Went to pick up Epic Mickey....of course it wasn't out yet. Found the electronics guy...asked if he could check in back for the game...and he replied " When I finish what I'm doing I'm gonna get the new games out...can you give me like...an hour?" An hour????

Luckily I found the game in a box by the register and got the guy to ring me up. Oh Kmart....
 
I have instructed the store not to accept Emailed coupons any longer due to potential fraud issues. Just as a heads up if you are a legitimate customer in the area.
 
I just got back from my local Kmart, and had my first coupon problem. I was going to pick up Epic Mickey and use a $10 coupon I got from DKCR and the $15 Epic Mickey box coupon, but the electronics employee said I can only use 1 coupon per order. I then showed him the DKCR coupon which states that more than 1 coupon can be used, as long as they have different bar codes. He then said how he got a memo from headquarters 3 weeks ago stating that only 1 coupon can be used no matter what. At this point I realized I wasn't going to get anywhere with this guy, so I just told him I'll pick the game up later.

I knew that would happen as soon as coupons were being emailed and people were asking whether they worked. It's way too easy to just keep printing.

This is why requiring SYWR to use a coupon is a smart idea. I hope you can fix the issue of them not printing, SHC.

Is stock boy working today? I'd like to ask about Epic Mickey CE at my store.
 
Josh,

I bought Donkey Kong Country Returns on Sunday and used my SYWR points from Black Ops. I had two problems:

1) I didn't get at $15 coupon for buying a game over $39.99

2) I couldn't use my $15 Epic Mickey coupon with my SYWR points. The coupon wasn't accepted because the points were used first. (At least that was how the cashier explained it not working)

Is there anything I can do at this point to get my $15 coupon for buying DKC?
 
Just left kmart with the Epic Mickey CE and printed the $30 coupon. I had a slight issue with someone working at Kmart. She kept following me and calling for security over the speakers because she "sees" me in kmart a lot. I go in check to see if a game I want is out, then I buy it and save the coupons for next go around. Sad to get hassled when I'm actually buying in the store. Anyways, they will see me next week when my $30 and $15 coupons are available to use.
 
Got the Epic Mickey CE today. The store had two in stock it appeared and I was there about an hour after opening and they had it out on the shelves along with the regular edition no problems there.

The employee working electronics was an older lady who said she didn't normally work in electronics. I showed her the 3 $15 coupons I wanted to use and she said she didn't think it would let her use more than one but I told her I thought it would work and she agreed to try it. Of course it worked perfectly and her exact words when she saw my final total were "Damn, you got lucky!" And she was doubly surprised when i correctly "predicted" the new $30 coupon printing out. :lol:

Another great experience with Kmart today and I'll be heading back sometime before Jan 15 to use my new $30 coupon!

Apparently in her eyes Kmart is the new casino... never know how much of a coupon you're going to get! BIG MONEY NO WHAMMIES!!!!!!
 
I also had no problem picking up the Epic Mickey CE at the Rancho Cordova, CA store. It was even out in the case, may be the first time I've seen that so soon after opening (9am). Looked like the only one in there, but maybe more were in the back. $30 coupon printed with no issues.

I was at my kmart yesterday (buying non-game stuff). A few hours later I received my "digital receipt" in an email which thanked me for selecting that option. My confusion stems from the fact that I did not select any option and I was handed a receipt in store. Can someone clarify why this occurred? I'm trying to make sure I get printed game coupons at the register, not an emailed coupon when I make my next purchase. Thanks guys (or Josh)
 
Bah, picked up Epic Mickey with the last paint brush and noticed the $20 coupon wasn't good until 12/5. Was hoping to use it this week on Golden Eye and get another $15 coupon. Still, I'm pleased with the purchase and had no problems at all.
 
Picked up Epic Mickey regular today (no CEs that I saw, but I wasn't interested in it anyways) and had no problem using my $15 and $20 coupons on it. I still don't have my SYWR card, so I'm going to enter it online and see what happens.

Course, when I told the guy I wanted Epic Mickey, he initially told me that they didn't have any. I told him that they were in the cabinent. Apparently some people tried coming in yesterday and all they had was the paintbrush nunchuck.

As I understand it at the start of every transaction at the register the cashier can pick between printed receipt, digital receipt, or both. I assume your cashier picked the option to send both (which is another reason why email coupon fraud is so easy because I've actually seen some sent to me despite already getting one at the register).
 
Got Sonic Colors & Epic Mickey (reg), They did have 3 CE's in the case.
Got all my coupons no problem
For those interested the epic coupon ($20) is the normal gaming coupon (not limited to just software like the other promo this week)

Case is very well organized, New releases always out (or easily available) day 1! nothing but good experiences. The electronics manager is especially good (can't remember her name).

Went this morning to get EM. Nothing in the case but the associate is a cool dude who'll go and check in the back. Told him I had requested the CE version and that I also wanted the paintbrush-chuk. While waiting for him to come back, someone else showed up to get EM and the chuk.

Worker came back with 2 CE's(only one after I got one), 3 chuks (only one left after me and the other customer) and about 10 regular versions. Used my EM preorder $15cpn and the $30 Apache cpn on the game and my last $10 DKCR cpn on the chuk:D

Got to talking with the other customer and she didn't even know about the coupon. She was only there because Kmart had the chuk on sale for 5 bucks cheaper than any other store. So she was happy to learn about the coupon deal.

My store may have gotten 2 CE's simply because I asked Stockboy to ship one there. I think he's mentioned before that he tries to send one extra copy of the requested numbers. The paintbrush-chuk may be a low inventory item though

The CE does give the $30 cpn; got mine with my purchase. I guess buying from the website gives a different offer.

The registers have the option to "print receipt" and "print & email", if your email is in the system. So far, they always ask me what I prefer and I always ask for print only to avoid any problems getting the coupons. Store associate probably never mentioned it to you and just chose the print & email option.

Yeah, I've had this happen before too. Apparently they get freaked out when you look at your phone over by the games case.

Nope, they'll have the same barcode, since it's the same promotion.

Barcode should be the same. Best thing to do is to do separate transactions for each $40 game
