Alright more Horse thoughts on the situation:
First and foremost this one is tough, there's a couple real bitches in this one.
Chris Sheridan (another idiot from ESPN) has his take on this all, so I'll attempt to offer my take, as to what should happen and what the league will do with each of the guys ejected from the game +1 special idiot:
Denver Nuggets
1. Carmelo Anthony - Carmelo was finally breaking his cry-baby poor sport image, by leading the league in scoring, and stepping up as Denver's go-to guy. He was a shoe-in for the all-star team this year after getting snubbed in each of his previous two seasons. His cowardly sucker punch was just as bad as the tackle Collins laid on JR Smith to start this. If this were LeBron or Wade they'd probably only get a game, since David Stern jerks off to their images every night no doubt, but it's Anthony, so he's going to get at least 5. To his (street) credit Anthony did make Channing Frye look like a bitch by easily tossing him to the floor at the beginning of the fight. In my opinion he should get 5 for the punch, 3 for the shoving, and throwing Frye to the ground and another 2 for being such a coward. What Anthony did had all the maturity of your little brother smacking you and running and hiding behind mommy. I believe the league will see it fit to give Anthony the 10 game suspension he deserves.
2. Eduardo Najera - He was actually trying to hold back Jared Jeffries at one point, although Jeffries looks like he weighs about 105lbs. Anyhow, he did get a push in or two, and that should certainly get him a game or two. My guess is the league will give him a deserved 2 game suspension.
3. Andre Miller - Why was he ejected!?! Miller did absolutely nothing, but stand there with the suits and kept out of the way of this ugly affair. If anything the money the other players lose should go to Miller for doing what the league would want a player to do during a fight. I think he shouldn't be suspended at all, and hopefully he won't be. Alas, since he was ejected, I have to believe the league will give him 1 game, because the NBA is retarded.
4. Marcus Camby - Marcus wasn't too involved in this one up until Anthony's sucker punch. He attempted to keep Anthony away from the Knicks players, but a running retard (Jeffries) knocked him on his ass. Getting knocked over by Jared Jeffries should gets him a game from me just for being a pussy, I'm banking on the league giving him a game simply for his involvement on the court, possibly 2, but most likely a 1 game suspension here.
5. JR Smith - Can you really fault JR Smith for anything he did? I mean honestly, if it were up to me he wouldn't get suspended a game. Mardy Collins took a cheap shot at him, and deserved to get punched. If I were JR Smith I would've got up and ripped Collins head off and shit down his throat. Then Nate Robinson wanted in on it too, what gives? What did Smith say to those guys... or rather Isiah say to them

Anyway, in the NBA there are retaliation penalties, and I'm sure Smith's actions won't be overlooked. Had he got up and walked away there's no fight, although part of me believes Nate Robinson jumping right up behind him made any escape less plausible. Either way he attempted to tackle the midget and for that he'll miss a few games. Smith is probably going to get 6 to 8 games from the NBA for his part in this brawl. I'll go with 7 to be safe, although I still feel he shouldn't be suspended at all.
New York Knicks (in order of bad to worse...)
1. David Lee - David Lee should've kept a tighter grip on JR Smith before he tackled the midget! Lee was definitely trying to play peace-maker, but at the same time he was definitely physically involved and that deserves a game at least. My guess is the league is going to give him a 2 game suspension, although Stern loves white boys so maybe it'll only be 1 game, or hell maybe even none.
2. Channing Frye - Frye should be kicked out of the league for getting tossed on his ass like a bitch by Anthony. People that soft belong in the WNBA. He had a chance to retaliate and take a cheap shot at Anthony before Anthony hit Collins, so for not doing that and for what looked like trying to pull Robinson and Smith apart when they went into the stands, I'd have to assume Frye won't be hit too hard. I'd wager a 2 game suspension is in order here as well.
3. Jared Jeffries - Another guy that should be kicked out of the NBA and sent into... the circus! For looking like a damn fool chasing after Anthony and falling on his face, knocking over Marcus Camby in the process. That action will get him at least a couple games. He also shoved Anthony at one point during the brawl, seemingly unprovoked and that's going to add to his suspension. He looked like such an idiot while he was being "held back" ya right, you're a buck o' five tops, no one needs to hold Jeffries back, he was probably hoping someone would hold him back  Anyway, my guess is he'll get 5 games. Probably would've got only a game or two had he not run out into the middle of the court like an idiot.
4. Nate Robinson - I just have to laugh here, because honestly what is this midget going to do to you? If Robinson came after me, I'd grab him by the throat and kill him, on the spot, no questions and asked, that'd be it. Since you can't do that in the NBA, which is a pity, we'll have to pardon JR Smith for not knocking Robinson out. Nate definitely lost any respect I had for him after he blocked Yao Ming, when he instantly was ready to fight JR Smith, after that thug Mardy Collins leveled JR. Robinson starts off shoving Smith which is where the fighting really took off. He doesn't do that, the officials may have been able to diffuse this situation. Then Robinson was clearly talking shit and throwing punches into the air. Before JR Smith rushed him and they went into the crowd. To his credit he was smart enough to run over by Andre Miller after nearly getting killed in that dogpile and a haymaker from JR Smith, but then he was ready to fight Anthony at mid-court. The NBA doesn't need guys like this. First off he shouldn't be allowed to defend his dunk contest championship, an absolute sham that he won anyway, and second he should get at least 10 games. Since he was one of Isiah's goons in this, I think a suspension of 20+ games would be fitting. My guess is the league gives this goofy little midget 10 games to sit at home and wish he was a little bit taller.
5. Mardy Collins - This guy should be gone. That's it, gone period. He's only 22 years old right now, and he's just a common thug. Either he (or Isiah) had him commit a similiar attack on one of Indiana's players the night before. There's no place for trash like this in the NBA, and he's basically just out there to hurt somebody, not to play basketball. In a way that's entertaining to me, but I know when I play basketball I hate idiots like that. I truly believe Collins should be suspended for the rest of the season. After that he'll be done, because no one will pick up a piece of shit like him. He was clearly only in the game to hurt somebody, and he could've seriously injured JR Smith. I only wish Carmelo wasn't such a pussy and would've hit him a lot harder than he did. My guess is the league gives him 15 games, not that it matters as he averages only 3.6 a game.
6. Isiah Thomas - And we come to the true scum of the earth... There's a reason John Stockton played on the Dream Team while Isiah Thomas sat at home. No it wasn't because John was better, Isiah could've lit up Stockton with both of his legs broken. It was because Isiah was a dirty player, and had wronged Michael Jordan in the past. I've always been a huge Isiah fan, I've always laughed at everything he did that was screwy in the past, like killing the CBA, to now running the Knicks into the ground. Alas, this was the last straw. Isiah is a dirty, dirty player and a dirty person. I hate to say these things as Isiah has been my hero since I was a kid... but they're all true. If Isiah hadn't ordered Collins to make that hit, none of this would've happened.
Anthony says Thomas, who was angry that the Nuggets were still playing four starters despite being up 19 with less than two minutes left, told him a minute or so before the brawl that he should stay out of the paint -- pretty much a warning that a hard foul was coming. That would make Thomas culpable for helping incite the brawl, and instigators never get off lightly with Stu and his boss, David Stern.
What kind of person does that? What kind of guy leads his team off the floor back in 1991 after the Bulls finally beat Detroit in the Eastern Conference Finals? It wasn't Bill Laimbeer that gave us that image alone, Isiah Thomas was and still is as cutthroat as they come, and unfortunately for him he's nowhere near as good of a coach or a businessman as he was player.
Pat Riley once said of Thomas, that he'd rip your heart out right and step on it right at center court, all with that big smile on his face.
Ugh, Isiah, you've really let me down this time. I don't think Isiah should be suspended for a single game. I think he should have to suffer behind the Knicks bench for the rest of this season. Then at the end of it Isiah will finally be fired and shipped out of New York and out of the NBA. No owner will ever take another chance on Isiah after how badly he has messed up the Knicks. His punishment will ultimately be displaced and black listed from the game he so dearly loves.
