yea that musical part is gonna suck ass
Unless the crowd demands that good charlotte gets powerbombed from the ceiling, through five fuckin' tables, and into an electrified tank of piranhas.

so that last part isn't feasible (unless you find dead piranhas threatening), but funny nonetheless.
Matt's my cousin. Yet, here I am first hearing of this cancer thing.
Must be a distant cousin then...

And am I the only one surprised that the Gymini lasted as long as they did? Pity about Nova though. He really never got a chance to actually, you know, wrestle.

What if it were an electrified tank of electric eels ;)

What's all this about Nova? Was he released, or are you lamenting that he's a trainer now instead of a *ahem* 'sooperstarrrrr!'?

I find it funny that when the WWE starts with the massive bulk firings of guys, I get as excited when I used to see that so-and-so had signed with WWF years ago (during the Monday Night Wars). I'm really anticipating who they'll fire next. Bring 'em on! Fire RVD and Sabu! I'm practically beggin' ya!

I was a fan of Nova's back in his ecw/wwe dark match days. He put on a hell of a match with Chris Daniels at a live event I went to. There were better things on the card though... Eddie Guerrero vs Chris Jericho and Rock and the Hardyz vs Angle and Edge & Christian, but that match was definitely up there from a wrestling stand point alone. I digress though...

We should start a "who's next" (no not that, Guyver) pool and see who can accurately predict the most WWE firings in the next batch.

Say we each pick 1 from raw, 1 from sd, 1 from ecw and 2 to 5 wild cards? Work with me here!

Dammit, I needed a quickie Gangrel-Thorn feud, if for no other reason than the possibility of seeing Gangrel's entrance again.

I'm actually kind of surprised they didn't throw him out there for two weeks to run-in/attack/bloodbath and then job to Thorn before they released him, "ring shape" or not. Oh well.

His grandfather and my grandmother are brother/sister.

However, they live in upstate NY and I live in Alabama.

He and I have never met face to face, nor did I even know he existed till my Grandmother got newspaper clippings in the mail from when he won Tough Enough.

They showed me the clippings and then was surprised to find out I EVEN follow wrestling. So yeah, it was interesting.

In the word (as Farooq doesn't speak more than one) of Farooq... Damn. I liked him in TE (even if he went to Western Michigan), and thought him and Nitro were gonna be great at the next level. Hopefully he recovers.

DAMMIT, better pick my team. Alright guys, you get to pick 5 each, we'll see who can go 5 for 5 picking the soon to be unemployed.

Sylvan
Sabu
Little Guido
Tatanka
and CW Anderson FTW!

Also, WWE.com lists Al Snow among the releases, but apparently he's being retained as a trainer. So, why list him as a release, when he never wrestled anymore anyway?

Looks like Al Snow just got released too.

Al Snow
ECW Original and former WWE Hardcore Champion Al Snow – along with his unique ally, Head – became a fan favorite with his unorthodox antics in the late 1990s. Snow is also known for his training of sports-entertainment hopefuls in WWE Tough Enough. While he will no longer compete in the ring, he will continue in his duties as a trainer.
they shouldnt be cutting ecw's roster... its slim as it is
That should give you a glimpse into the long term future of ECW.
Chris Nowinski is on ESPN right now.
I wish he'd come back to T.V.
wow there goes the fbi and heymans squad....

True. Keep in mind that they've already stated that "ECW" is going to be the new testing grounds for post-developmental / new talent.

In other words, they'll just make a new roster.

ECW is dead.

terkay???

WTF

NO MORE TAPOUT OUT KNOCKOUT CONNECTION

man is today clean out thursday or something

and they used jazz for what... one tv episode
http://www.wwe.com/inside/news/3877160223

The body count:
Terkay
Jazz
Rodney Mack
Al Snow
The Bashams
The Gymini
Gangrel
Tony Mamaluke
Gangrel

11 people, that may wrap up a day's work. I'm surprised at Terkay, I thought he had a good look and could be used properly. Oh well.
I was surprised too, but this is WWE, anythings possible. I wonder if this means Elijah will stay?

elijah is currently winning the ecw poll so i hopes hes not going anywhere

so maybe their done..maybe not...

suprised to see cw and stevie still around despite not used on tv

Well with Heyman gone there's no longer a need for Heyman's security force, so makes sense both Bashams are gone. I didn't even know Mack & Jazz were still on the payroll.

Al Snow HAS NOT been fired, WWE.com is retarded, he's still employed as a trainer, what's the point of posting his name here? Maybe because it's Al Snow and they think that'll generate more clicks.

Finally, I'm stunned about Terkay, I thought that guy had a great look and a great move set. He must've really rubbed someone backstage the wrong way for him to get dropped to ECW so quick and then dropped alltogether. TNA would do well to sign this one.

You and me both, I just saw him on ECW this week, which is the odd thing about it.

So they get rid of Terkay and yet the Miz is still on television. Hopefully he gets picked up by TNA since they need some more people in the heavywieght division that are worth a flip.
yea maybe we will see angle terkay
Angle/Terkay would be fantastic. The fact that WWE saw nothing in him just shows you the direction the company plans to continue in.

Realistically, Terkay is the only release that somewhat surprises me, but of his duo with Burke, he was the weak link, and he also changed his ring style to be just another big man, and a very bland-looking and acting one at that. Hopefully he gets some work in either Japan or TNA, as he's certainly talented and deserves to be showcased somewhere.

Here's a funny MMA/wrestling note -
--Aaron Brink, a former MMA fighter turned porn star, is the first announced signing for Kimo's New Era Fighting promotion, a group that is designed to present MMA to pro wrestling fans by using all pro wrestling marketing tools with soap opera, storylines, etc. and the only difference being the fights in the ring will be real. Brink said he is done with porn because you can't do both at the same time.

I guess I didn't watch enough ECW/SD to pass that judgment on him. I thought Terkay was superior in the ring, and Burke was much better on the mic. Thus they combined pretty nicely.

There's a LOT of guys that shouldn't be on TV right now. The Miz, that's something else. I wonder if WWE ever stopped to think that MTV and WWE's fanbase are no longer one and the same. The people that watch MTV are the ones that helped make WWE's rating so high in the late 90s, and have all tuned out now. I have a feeling the Miz won't be getting cut this go around, but he's probably on borrowed time.
bye cw...

Christopher W. Anderson
The rugged southpaw Christopher W. Anderson found his greatest successes in the original ECW before he returned with the new breed this past summer.
YES! I finally got 1 in my 5 right. So that puts me ahead of everyone, because nobody else bothered playing my pick 5 guys to go next game :whistle2:(
they might as well drop the ecw name
I suspect Guido to gone by midnight. Is Big Sal still under contract? Cuz if he is... :fridge: he's gettin the ol' fridge on the head soon too.

I have to agree though, why even call it ECW anymore? Sabu and RVD both have a foot out the door, Heyman has been banished, and they don't even have many hardcore matches.

I honestly think this was Vince's plan all along though, to reel you in by putting all the ecw stars of the past on the roster, then slowly phase them out and fire them when we're not looking.

The problem here is, that most of ecw's fanbase are people like us that are on the internet checking to see why such and such happened. These people tuned in because they wanted to see ECW like it was, not like this. The ratings will most likely continue to fall unless Vince does something really exciting. I don't know about you but Lashley vs Test just doesn't appeal to me unless it's on the undercard of a SD or Raw ppv.

I picked two or three... CW Anderson was one of my picks ;)

I suspect that within a year ECW will have a team of The Miz and Candice Michelle on play by play. Seeing as to how Vince is treating ECW thus far that's not a longshot of a possibility at all.

Oh, and I just simply MUST go to this indy show coming up....
