Uhh, you might want to spoiler that as to not ruin it for others who have not played the DLC yet.
DLC has been out for a week oh well
That doesn't matter. It's being considerate of fellow CAGs. If you waited to buy the DLC due to lack of funds, and you came here and read that, I'm sure you'd be pissed that it was spoiled by some random ignorant tool on the forums.

Yeah...why don't you go ahead and spoiler that. I'm not pissed, but there goes the surprise for me.

You are a dick and you can go fuck yourself. I hope you get banned. People in other game trheads have the courtesy to spoiler tag stuff like that for weeks, if not months, after a game's release. Many people don't get games/DLC on day 1, or even the first week, especially on CAG.

That being said, I played online for the first time last night with FrankySox and 2 bots. When we got to the final level of the campaign, things got weird. Everything was normal for him, but my character was fucked up.

I couldn't move at first. Then, when I could move again, it showed Franky and the other 2 characters frozen in place, and the zombies were all going through an infinite loop of "fall down/rise up". I'd be able to progress through the level for 30 seconds or so, but then I'd get transported back to the beginning. When Franky finally reached the end of the final level, things went back to "normal" for me and I promptly got jumped on by a jockey. Since everyone else was at the end of the level, I died.

if you don't have the DLC why you in a thread talking about L4D2? I didn't read your post matt I just assume that's what you're talking about. Probably how you've been busy with work etc etc
if you don't have the DLC why you in a thread talking about L4D2?
WTF are you smoking?

And you still haven't spoiler'd the post.

What moojuice said. I'm in the thread because I got the game a couple weeks ago. I already explained to you that people don't get everything when it's first released, and how most CAGs spoiler tag pertinent game information in threads for weeks to months after they're released.

And why would you post a reply mentioning me while also saying you haven't read my post? Mind-boggling.

Seeing as how L4D2 actually has a continuous story that is intertwined between all the campaigns, and the fact that the #1 selling point of the DLC was the thing that he spoiled... yes, that is part of it.

Please spoiler in-game events for the benefit of other CAGs who may not have played that section/part of the game.

The unspoilered post has been removed.

Thank you.

Anyone playin' this beast on PC the way the good Lord intended?

Also, anyone find the advanced difficulty way harder this time around? I've found that the game is fucking relentless on advanced with multiple special infected hitting you and horde after horde slamming into you. Tanks really fuck us up too.

I hear ya, that douche already spoiled it for me too

That's because even on Expert, Left 4 Dead 1 was entirely way too easy.

Sometimes on Normal I find teams struggling on L4D2, though.

yup in L4D1 between corner melee spamming and tank glitches, etc Expert was ridiculously easy.

You see we usually play through the entire campaign on Advanced and then just for the sake of finishing as opposed to quitting we take the difficulty down to normal on the finale.

I don't think exploiting a glitch would qualify as making something easy...just don't do the glitch then and play the game the way it was meant to. And as far as melee spamming in a corner goes...that's why they have the spitter now. Someone needs to mod the game so we can infinite melee. I never really used the melee in the first game in such a way that it made shit too easy or not fun.

Expert wasn't too bad on L4D1. As long as you had two good players, you could get by with some decent randoms. I've tried that on this one and that doesn't fly at all. I still have yet to beat a campaign on expert because I've never synced up with 3 other guys who were serious about it and good players.

IDK if you ever considered me good or serious, but the time we tried it seemed like we did ok...except for the 4th chapter in Dead Center..

and I still want to play this, but yeah, I'd only ever like to play it with 3 other players.

No, I was counting you. We did pretty good, but just the two of us dedicated wasn't enough. I don't seem to ever see more than 1 or 2 CAGs playing at a time, and that's coupled with the fact that there's few times I can spend the 3-6 hours needed.

Who said anything about exploiting glitches? Expert is easy enough on L4D1 that you shouldn't need glitches to complete it. Sometimes you get some shitty horde spawns right when a tank hits, but other than that it's not that bad.

If you ever see me on, and I'm playing MW2 or BC2, just send me an invite for L4D2 and I'll probably stop playing whatever I'm playing and join you.

Again, L4D1 was my game of the year in 2008, so to me its a shame that I haven't been able to find a good, consistent, on every night group to play with in L4D2 like I had in L4D1.

Although, once the Reach Beta hits, don't expect me to leave Reach...unless it's a big pile of poop like H3's MP.

Ha, the reason I don't spread out from L4D is that I actually want to play the other games that I own. :D However, if I don't have the campaigns by the time Reach hits, I probably will have given up by then.

The guy below you mentioned glitches. And I am talking about the 2nd game. I understand that the first game was obviously easier.

Oh, my bad. Guess it helps if I wake up before I start posting. lol

You can always invite me whenever the stars have properly aligned thereby ensuring we're both on at the same time.

I still haven't completed a single expert campaign yet since launch and it is starting to irritate me a bit.

Same. Every time I play an expert campaign we get stuck on one level for 3 hours and everybody gets dejected and quits. I want to finish some, though.
The guy below you mentioned glitches. And I am talking about the 2nd game. I understand that the first game was obviously easier.
eh, never said it was right or wrong to use the glitches but they were there and it's what made Expert easier than in L4D2(also the Director wasn't as hard). Even if you didn't intentionally use glitches, they still happened a lot(like Tanks never appearing at all or getting stuck in windows in the Finales).

I won't liie and say I didn't take advantage of the "Dashboard" glitch or other glitches from time to time but that's because no one felt like doing the campaigns all over again… wish they did have an option for L4D2 where it would “save” progress in chapters and you and your teammates can just start from the finale if you’ve completed the previous chapters because like everyone stated it’s hard enough finding enough CAGs or people to get a game going let alone the patience to potentially spend 3 4 or 5 hours trying to beat a campaign.

I'm just getting into this game and am really enjoying it. If you'd like to add me as a serious player, I'm happy to play with you all. Gamertag is Transformah.

Throwin it out there....campaign playthroughs starting at 7 PM Pacific tonight.

I will be on. Not looking to do soley Expert, but I'd like to just get some campaigns finished. I still only have 1 fucking campaign complete.

I'll help you do some. I assume you're just wanting to run through them on normal or any difficulty just to finish them.

Yeah...but I'm willing to beat one on normal, then go to an Expert campaign, then go to normal, etc.

will you be playing later?

i can't play at the moment but i'm looking to complete any campaign on expert = or any difficulty, lol smh people always dropping out of games

gamertag is on the left if anyone wants to add me :D
Any of you wanna start a l4d2 versus CAG night????
I'd be in. I just wouldn't be able to start until at least 9 or 10 EST on most nights. My connection is also shit, so if I lag, that's why.

That's 6 or 7 my time. I can do that most nights.

Also, if we get 4 of us together, I'd like to get the survival, tank burger, and team cheese mints if others are looking for them.

i'll be down to do some of those achievements

i'll be on around 7:30 pm (east) if anyone wants to finish any campaign on any difficulty

or play Vs with you guys
Can we shoot for this eveing???? 10EST??? does that work for most??
I'm probably going to have to bow out tonight.
Suppose to be playing ODST (FINALLY) to try and go through the campaign on legendary.
Let me know what other times you guys have in mind.
