Last Movie You Saw Strikes Back
I'm currently enjoying the Band of Brothers series. I just got done with Disc 3 and it's just great.
Funny thing is I'm doing the same thing. My woman and I have been watching an episode a night for several nights now. We finished Disc 3 last night.
Collateral - 1/5 Why is Michael Mann still making movies?
Really? I liked that one a lot. Anyway, last one I saw was Cinderella Man. Another good film. Why isn't it making any money?

Because the depraved masses crave instant gratification and you can't get that with high drama and character development.

Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

Now that's what I call a fucked up marriage.
Very good film. Fourth Nichols film I've seen, third I've liked; I didn't like the Graduate, then I see three movies by him based off of plays (Closer, Wit, and this one), and they're all great.

Woo! Post number 1000

I didn't like The Graduate either, hooray!

And 1000th post, hooray!

And I'm not the only one who didn't like Collateral, hooray!

And now I have Lost in Translation going in the background once again. :lol:

EDIT:As I've been sitting here watching/listening to this movie yet again I decided to make a list of all the movies etc. I own that I have yet to watch. Here's the count (includes DDD orders not yet received):

48 movies
17 series of varying length (includes anime)

And several first volumes of series.

All in all a pretty big slice of my overall collection.

Add to that 30+ movies on loan and it's all a bit intimidating. And here a sit, watching the same movie for probably the 5th time in as many weeks. :lol:

Just saw Garden State the other day. Didn't like it. There was something about that movie that just plain annoys me.

Last I counted, I was over 100 movies, and still haven't watched Band of Brothers, Lonesome Dove, Millenium S1, or Dune. Add Netflix, BBO and the library into the mix, and I'm one busy little bee. :lol:

Just finished up Summertime. Movie was about average, but Katharine Hepburn was great in it, naturally. I put in La Strada a few minutes ago, and I think I can already give it a glowing recommendation... :whistle2:\"

I found another 4 or 5 movies that had somehow escaped my dvdaf list. The strange thing is I know they used to be on the list, which means somehow they were accidentally deleted. I may have to go through my collection one by one and make sure they're all accounted for.

Oh yeah, I didn't finish LiT last night as I stopped as soon as I finished going through my dvd list. I'll watch the rest today, starting from when they get in the cab with Charlie Brown. :cool:

You have time for gaming too in addition to all this film watching? It seems like I hardly have free time for anything anymore. Thank goodness a three-day weekend is coming up soon. :D

Unfortunately, it's not a matter of time, just motivated. I simply haven't 'felt like' playing many games lately, despite what my dozens (hundreds?) might say. I'm definitely more into films these days, but I'm hoping my gaming motivation takes an upswing, or at least my wallet is. ;)
Set blasters to "double stun". :lol:
Thought you'd get a kick out of that one. :lol:
The School of Rock - Surprisingly, Jack Black does well in this movie. Every other movie I've seen him in I have hated.
The only reason I ever watched that movie (4 times) is because Summer is kinda cute. :lol:

I'm gonna have to disagree with you here for once. Her head's kinda big and disproportionate to her body. She looks like kinda like an anime character with an oversized head aka Super Deformer. Maybe in a few years, when she's grown a bit and filled out a lil more then she might look good.

That's why I just said "kinda cute". She was only 9 or so in that movie, and that pic is a year old. :lol:

But damn ... pale skin, dark hair, and those lips ... give her 3 years. :drool:
A large majority of those are fucking terrible. Why did you buy them? I can't even recommend any of them other than LOTR, if you haven't seen them.
Are you kidding me? Most of those movies are classics.

By my count there are 6, maybe 7, movies on that list that are likely awful. That's out of 50+.

I've seen the LOTR films, just not the extended versions.

Amarcord
By any chance, was said movie EXPLOSIVE and EXTENDED? ;)
Why, yes it was, although the extended parts (beginning and ending) were pretty pointless and not at all explosive.

You are quite obviously insane :)

The thought of someone skipping 2001 for another movie makes me sad :whistle2:(

I did skip it, and then I had to stop Amélie in the middle. I'm going to go finish that up now. :cool:

I'll watch 2001 soon enough, I just wasn't feeling it earlier today.

War Of The Worlds...

CGI = A+
Acting = B
Directing = B+, c'mon it's Spielberg
Music = C-, not much in this category, Mr. Williams. Shame, Shame....

Team America World Police- One of my favorites
Alone in the Dark- Flaming piece of dookie
Assualt on Precinct 13- Therapist girl was hawt

Singin' in the Rain

Easily the best musical ever, one of the best movies ever, and one of my favorite movies ever. If it doesn't put a smile on your face, you have no soul.
