LE Halo 3 Scratched Discs - MS Offers Free Replacement Through 12/31/07

I had a loose disc as well and noticed a scratch (opened it up about a week ago). Can someone detail the exchange program for this? I wasn't aware that it was an actual issue.

Did anyone receive their Game disc and Essentials disc serperately?? I just got the essentials disc back after about a two and half week wait, but no sign of my game disc!! What should I do?

Give it 2-3 more weeks for that disc. I got my bonus disc in the middle of October and my game disc a few days ago. It was definitely more than 2 weeks for me.

Ok I finally sent my disc on Monday.. it arrived at the location on Wednesday.. I JUST GOT IT BACK TODAY. :O It looks like they gave me a new sleeve..however I noticed the inner ring has been burned into (not scorched) but how some 360's burn in the inner ring. I am going to test it shortly...but to my surprise not only I got it back this quickly, BUT I got a FREE month of XB live Gold! :O

Edit: Ok, just tested it out....

It would seem that it's either the damn disc I sent in.....OR... my 360 REFUSES TO PLAY HALO 3 :(

well after talking to two MS reps, they have no idea what the fuck is going on with my halo 3 disc. Some of my friends suggested I rent a blockbuster copy and try it on my system to see if it will play halo 3 at all. All other 360 games are playing fine. MS thinks my gamer tag is corrupted and told me to wipe it out and re download it, but that didn't do anything. Because it's one game having problems, it's not eligible for return to Microcenter or MS for exchange til it RRoD :|
does it matter how badly the game is scratched to get a new copy?
nope... right now it's a "no questions asked" policy. My copy was slightly scratched but very much playable up until two weeks ago... found NEW scratches, and sent it back.

I gotta figure out what is up before the end of the year or else I will have to trade in it :(

My copy was actually starting to crack from the center ring from putting it in the case. The little nub you put it on is much to tight of a fit and you have to really press to get it on there. I sent my discs in this week. I would HIGHLY recommend that you do not put it on the nub any more. I would put it in a sleeve and just let it sit in the case loose.

Finally got my Halo 3 game disc after 2 months and a call to Micro$oft. Still had scratches! I can't belive this shit. I did get 2 months of live and an extra bonus disc, but come on!

My 360 fucking scratched my Halo 3 disc up. And no, I didn't move the system at all. Never do while it's running. The 360 has the worst hardware ever.
how is everone mailing their discs in? curious as to how i should package it? usps?
I put the discs in a paper disc holder (the ones with clear plastic on the front) and put them in a bubble wrapped envelope and sent it 1st class mail. Cost me $1.50 to ship it

--edit--

don't forget to fill out the form and mail it with your disc and if you are exchanging the game and essential discs, you got to fill out 2 forms, one for each disc

i am still puzzled how I sent my disc in on Monday....and ended up getting back a new disc on Friday...when people are reporting weeks. The new disc was scratch free.

still can't play it on my 360 though and my cousin who has a 360 is aways too fucking drunk/passed out to let me even try it out on his system to see if it's the disc OR the system not wanting to play it.

That's it I am going to eb tomorrow and test it with them.
