Left 4 Dead - Gen. Discussion & Info

Hey I am down for some L4D gaming! Been trying to run the campaign on expert, but people online don't seem to know what to do etc.

Also for the All 4 Dead achievement you can do it with 2 controllers. Start up a vs match against yourself. I did it on NM Subway, when the profile you want to get the achievement on becomes the tank, use the other controller to wound the AI then have them run in and get crushed.
 
Free DLC? Just in time for me as i've never played anything except the demo but Gamefly mailed my rental copy yesterday. See yall online, i'll be the easy kill learning the maps lol.

I hope you guys haven't already gotten tired of the new DLC. I just finished my exams and I haven't touched it yet, so let me know if you ever want to play. I'm down pretty much any night this week.
 
I played L4D for the first time in a long time tonight. Was able to grab the Spinal Tap and Ground Cover achievements. Just downloaded the survival pack but haven't got a chance to try it out yet. So I'm right there with you IvanHood.
 
sup all...been trying to get safety first...unbreakable...nothing special...and upset stomach...all in one go...never made it to the end...been playing campaigns on easy too...=/
but anyways...i basically added almost everyone that plays
so i can get CAG parties together if needed

I still play it more than anything else, if you're on just send an invite my way or vice-versa.

Ditto. To be honest I sort of lost interest once I realized most of the people on the leaderboard were glitching out, but I'll definitely play with you guys regardless.
 
I'm playing a lot lately too. Trying to get the last 4 achievements (untouchables, genocide, red mist, and barf bagged, which is driving me crazy).

I'll play any mode with a decent team so invite or add me if you want to play.

edit: If anyone wants to try an untouchable run, I've seen it done on youtube with 3 bots on dead air, so I know it's doable if we have a good team. No glitches needed.

Still looking for this as well. I'll send you a fr. Also sent most of you guys on this page a fr as well to get some good games in.
 
still looking for some help on nothing special, this by far has to be the hardest one to get. Any help or strategy would help. Have any of you gotten this one? Can it be done in VS?

VS. is the worst place to try it. Just do no mercy on easy with 4 good players. Move fast and stick together. You can even try it with bots on easy.
 
I've tried it on easy with both bots and players still a no go, the ending always gets me, either the tank screws you or a smoker comes out of no where.

untouchables is easiest to get in dead air, just set up behind the plane and shoot all that comes near then when the plane opens up your right there. I was able to do that with 3 bots.

That's exactly what I'm going to try tonight. No one who has added me seems to want to do it, so I'll try it by myself tonight. The only other achievement I have to get that will take something other than time to get is barf bagged. (genocide and red mist will just be time sucks)

blood harvest is the easiest to get the achievement. My friend managed to do it alone with 3 ai but it all comes down to where the tank spawns before the last chapter =(

No, we tried last night, but when it came time to get on the plane, the bots would go after the third tank instead of dashing for the plane with us.
 
maybe we can work together on this, be a good way to get both nothing special and then untouchables?? I"m thinking that Dead air is the easiest for these two.

As for nothing special, that is a whole campaign achievement, not just the end.
 
yea I know that it's a whole campaign, it's the only one I need. As for the behavior they did fine for me but I grouped around the end of the place after the second tank and was able to just hope in, the bots were rigth with me seeing as they didn't need to follow from the back wall all the way down.

I don't like asking friends for help with achievements they already have :) I'll be on again tonight, so I'll send invites if I see you guys since you offered.
 
yea, i'm in need of the nothing special, untouchables, and the not getting vomited on (the name escapes me right now), so if anyone is up for trying to get these, let me know.

I haven't spent $25 on a game in forever, much less the $40 I spent at gamestop for this. But it's just so good, I had to have it. Haven't felt that way about a game for a long time, much less a shooter.
 
I'm currently in a game with Cmart and Anexan working on that Untouchable achievement and we could seriously use a fourth so if you're interested just send an FR or hop in the party.

this is all it took, my friends. this is all it took. after multiple rounds, a simple 'hey, is it cool if i cover the left side?' and then we have the achievement. simply outstanding.

that's not really sarcastic, either, as much as it looks like it, haha. it's just funny that it worked out that way.

Now I've just gotta work on barf bagged, genocide and red mist, which are really just matters of time, not skill. Thanks again.
 
Played the first two campaigns with my friend. Shit it was a lot of fun. Got a few achievements out of it as well.
 
Tried to play tonight with SumOG and a couple others (forgive me if you're CAGs). Had bizarre connection problems to start out, attempted to do No Mercy on Expert. I think either I eventually lost connection, or we all did, but got disconnected about halfway through.

Let me tell you, I am not good at this game.

Everyone was having connection problems last night. If you weren't booted, you got some nice lag.
 
Last few days Live has been shitty. I did No Mercy on Expert w/only 2 players... a friend and I... sad part is we killed the AI before we summoned help, just for the lulz. :D He died as the copter arrived :( Gotta redo it for him today.
 
SUMOG sorry I missed your invite yesterday. didn't realize it till I was done playing VS. However I'll be on tonight for most of the night. So if you wnat to play (goes for anyone) shoot me an invite. Doesn't matter if I already have the ACH that you'll be going for I just like to play and maybe in turn we can get nothing special.
