Haha well no, not thrown out. It usually goes in a mega bloks bucket then I take it to the salvation army or something. Though I did throw away an old castle facemask a long time ago before I started getting serious about it.

It was that price at Target two weeks ago, then last Sunday through Tuesday it was $34. I bought if for $43 but haven't built it yet.

That's what I do. I have a bucket of MegaBloks in my mom's attic. I don't mind them, I keep some of the interesting pieces, just as a whole the sets don't click together well at all.

I went to the lego event at Toys R Us yesterday. the line was longer for this frankenstein giveaway than the disney ones last month. It was a nice build but frankenstein has a blank face. 

The worker that usually runs these events told me that next month the giveaway will be Star Wars themed.  We will see if he is correct

Toys' N Bricks says the TRU big Book has a Nexo event for November 12th. Unless there are two events or the guy was mistaken and one will be in December for the new movie.

I usually go about 10 minutes early and I had the same experience. Last month for both Beauty and the Beast builds, I was second in line with my kids. I was about 25th in line at the same time for the Frankenstein build. My kids weren't excited about the build at all, but wanted to get the Friends Bowling Alley set.

Yeah, it was pretty long at my TRU also. We got there at 1 like we usually do and it was definitely longer this time around. We also went to the Pokemon event yesterday and got there at around 1:45. There was a long line, but we did manage to get the Pikachu figure so my sons were happy.

I have an extra card still sealed if you want to trade one of your polys for it. The "album" was nothing more than a pamphlet so no big loss there. Can't help you with Pikachu either since my boys will throw a fit if I take them away.

Yeah, they only had about 50 figures to give away, so you had to get there early. I'll take a picture of it when I get home.

The card was a Charmander foil card.

Local TRU wouldn't let me price match and get the SW poly eventhough I was still over the $30 limit.  Said no thanks and had them void the transaction.  First time that's happened.  And, yes, I know it's their policy, but they usually bend rather than lose the sale.

Hope you didn't throw that rail crossing out, because that most definitely is real Lego. Came with at least a few of the train sets/stations from the 80s/90s. I know it came in this set along with a few others as noted above:

Dang, I had forgotten about the A-Wing Pilot. Really wanna find one of those guys. I will have to hit TRU in the next couple of days.

 
I know most people here visit SD as well but I'm still amazed at all these UCS discounts that are happening. Here's the Sandcrawler for $236 if 20% seems like a decent amount off. Also, not to sound scheming (but I am) large Lego from Amazon almost always come with minor box damage which I can get an additional 15-20% off from. Sometimes it's frankly needed as I've received some with sizable dents so caveat emptor for people who need the box perfect.

I gotta ask, I don't remember seeing this kinda thing in years past. Did UCS ever get clearanced at Lego? Do they even price match in the event I want a good box?

Well sort of... There's probably 8 pages to the "album" and some of the pages are cut so that you can insert 4 cards to the page. Here's a picture I found on ebay, but it doesn't show the inside. (of course people are selling this on ebay!) I thought it was going to be a small ringed binder with plastic inserts.

Legit rarely discounts premium sets, the last one I think they discounted was the b-wing.

Some new police sets pictures showed up, nothing special. Some of the little bad guy things are cute in a nice scale. What I do like a female hat / hair combo that was new.

 
Apologies if this was asked before, but will the "Adventure Time" figures only be available through the Dimensions sets?

 
There's an IDEAS set of Adventure Time buildables coming, right? Aside from that, I'd guess yes, this is the only way. The current sale at BB is a pretty dang good price on them, even discarding the software aspect. Of course, you have to have GCU to get in on the sale.

Target had them for 40%off before the things were released, I'm sure they will be on sale again for that or cheaper.

Right now with GCU, Team Packs are $10 and Level Packs are $12. Ghostbusters Story Pack is $20. All Fun Packs are $5.

So, I just ordered the two ATime sets for store pick-up. I was gonna order the GB Story, but I figure that can wait--I have the Ecto1/2 set, and just built that the other night, so I don't need the minifig with the Dimensions set.

Cheapest that Mr. T has been, I think? I should probably buy another one at $5.

Oh damn. I haven't shopped there in years. Now I wish I had one of those lame memberships. :lol: I'd buy them and the Portal 2 set.

 
Well the wife actually just grabbed and paid for them, she likes to have seasonal Lego up as decorations during the holidays and seasons anyways
My kids are older and have been raised on horror movies anyways
 
So yeah, anyone who wants any of the LD sets just for the figs and builds and has GCU should check out Best Buy. Picked up  most of season 2, except Adventure Time because I don't know anything about that license. Probably will go back for the Bane fun pack.

Whoa! I didn't know the Gorilla set was $50. It was $35 at Wal-Mart 3 months ago.

I'm going to have to pass on it, since my wife wants to start collecting the Winter Village sets. I'm trying to save up to get her the Toy Shop for Christmas.

 
I keep forgetting to mention this but I'm clearing out the house and selling all my childhood 80's space sets. It's listed here.  I'd sell it to CAGer for the minimum and close the auction. I won't spam the thread with any more sales so PM me if interested. I just don't have the space anymore and am invested in continuing to collect the modular buildings.
