LEGO Deals 3

Anyone have the Technic Mobile Crane set 42108? It looks like it may have the thicker string I am searching for...anyone open this set able to confirm? Can I order the part number from Lego since it is a current set?
You can buy it from Lego's Bricks and Pieces for $3.91

STRING, DIA. 1,0 MM

Element
6225933

Design Number
37597

Unit Price
USD 3.91

According to Bricklink, that exact string has only been in 2 sets, but that could be more about the length than thickness. (and now I miss Big Daddy again)

Really makes you wonder what he said to receive a full on ban … or that the mods are incredibly fickle and there’s no real clear policies on how they utilize their power

Leaked Walmart Black Friday ad doesn't have any Lego that I could see. Thankfully getting the current deals in-store today wasn't difficult.

Also saw the Friends humongous 4-pack for the same $20 it was online. Walmart's online inventory system is horrible. "Not available" even though I'm staring at 10 of them on the shelf.

Initially I was glad they didn't make the camera a GWP because I wasn't interested in it, but then I saw that tin sign and I'd much rather have any Lego than that tin sign. I really hope this doesn't start a trend. I can get tchothkes and home goods a lot of places. TLG needs to stay in its lane and stick with Lego.

Also, I'm disappointed in the GWP considering the "buy-in" price. I was hoping Lego would wow me to get me to finally overpay for Monkie Kid sets before they retire, but meh. The coffee cart seemed a better value.

tl;dr: Not happy but who am I kidding? I'm still gonna throw money at Lego.

Yeah, those GWP are pretty lousy. I may still buy myself an expensive set because of double VIP, but I'm also not going to be especially disappointed if the ones I'm considering sell out.

Damn. Last year's Charles Dickens tribute was so much better than this year's offerings. Green Giant must be spinning in his proverbial grave.

I was checking my old orders. I'm still waiting on my Caravan Family Holiday from Sept. 5th. Not sure I've had a backorder last that long.

Just checked, spider crawler back ordered since June.

I’m probably the only person in North America that cares, but Vidiyo Series 2 went from “coming soon” to “sold out” on Lego.com. Guess that’s that. I have a pre-order at Entertainment Earth that likely will never happen. I really want the slime guy and crystal dragon but paying to ship from EU is making me question that.

I never saw it and nobody in North America is selling them on Bricklink

Walmart put early Black Friday sets back to regular price. There were a couple stores that still had a pallet of the classic bricks that I was wondering if they would be further reduced. Instead they’re now $58. No Lego in leaked circular. Guess I’ll just wait/hope something is left to be clearanced after Christmas

There are a few deals at Target starting today.  I picked up the Bird of Paradise for $70 and the Sith mosiac for $84.

Saw the Carnage bust for $42 I think.  Not the best, but it's something.

No luck on the Bird of Paradise.  OOS and none within driving distance of me.  I'm hoping they stock more before the sale's up.

The Costco one is a bundle of 8 thin idea books. They might be more fun for kids, but the I also prefer the meatier Visual History books. The Amazon one has been on my wishlist for awhile. Thanks.

Where's the pic from skiizim of his new UCS AT-AT?

My nephew asked for the imperial shuttle set for xmas last night after I already bought him some switch games...so I got him the shuttle  polybag from Target.  He is gonna be pissed!

Tryin not to order the Liebherr from Zavvi...tryin real hard.

Do it. Let those endorphins pop.

I'm trying to avoid giving in to Kohl's. Sets are only 5% off but you get decent rewards that you'll need to spend in a couple weeks.

FedEx delivered my Lego.com package four doors down. Luckily I was home when I got the email that my package was delivered. If my neighbors have a porch cam, I probably looked suspicious as f*** taking the package but that was my Lego, dammit.

lol the missus is like "Let me know who's there and we'll talk about it"

Edit: Actually, Fashion Valley is on the Green Line, and you can board it across the convention center. I doubt you'd actually want to lug it around back home though.

My daughter just got this signed, seems like the best stuff is on Saturday. Might take the trolly to the mall, learning this town a bit.

Sale on monkey king sets, they didn’t have the waterfall set.

Don’t collect Mario, but was swayed by Bowser’s Castle … hopefully it’s a one off and not a new theme I’ll feel the urge to continue buying.

Edit - Meh, couldn’t do it … cancelled after watching a couple review videos. The brick built aesthetic is just so ugly in the Mario series imo. I’m sure if will increase in value, but the last thing I need is more LEGO sets collecting dust that I don’t love.

Hope the new modular leaks soon!

I have a nephew that supposedly likes it. Not sure why. The ship looks kinda cool, but eh.

Picked up the Charles dickens Christmas carol set at a local collector show yesterday
I really like that set. Hopefully Lego returns to more like that and less like fleece blankets.

Amazon really makes it hard to find what’s on sale. “Oh you’re searching for Lego? Well here’s a bunch of brands you never heard of plus a bunch of LED kits.”

Anyone own the Monkie Kid waterfall set? Grabbed it this morning during the lightning deal, but on the fence. It’s not a theme I collect, but it did catch my eye when it first came out because it’s so unique looking compared to most LEGO sets.

I bought this one too today, only other set I have is the mech

Anyone here do the advent calendar sets? Probably a dumb question but I have never done one...are there instructions and where does it start?
