LEGO Deals 3

LEGO Bricks and Pieces has added the goat. Most animals that size are around $3.

The goat is $6. I got 8 of them from Temu for cheaper than one from LEGO and they come in more colors but otherwise look the same.
 
The Winter Village set for the year is a hot air balloon ride. It includes a house and the ride and an X-MAS tree of course. We are also getting a $20 Santa's Delivery Truck set. If it's like the old promo red Christmas truck I think that would make a nice set.

The Jaws sets was leaked... meh. $150 for a smaller than expected boat because the set comes with a fucking stand. [We're gonna need a bigger boat.]

Nightmare Before Christmas set comes out September 1st. Then the Disney 100th Ideas set there was a vote on is October 1st.

Regardless of the Jaws boat size, we were going to say "We're gonna need a bigger boat." so LEGO intentionally made it small so that there'd be no debate - we do in fact need a bigger boat.

They are normally slightly different but everyone at Slick Deals in a video game deal had $10 back off $70 so I figured it this time maybe they all be the same.

Walmart+ Day also has Minecraft Pig House $35 and Training Grounds is $50.
The big classic Space ship set a few years ago is $70.
Bowsers Airship is also $70.

I'm not a car guy or a modern Technic fan but that Jeep in the new red-orange color looks great. Not $250 great but very nice. I hope we get a Speed Champ car in that color.

Lego D&D is at Comic Con San Diego. There might be new sets or at least the CMF series on display if anyone is going.

I don't have Prime but most stuff is OOS. I picked up the train station and three in one city space set from Lego.

It's one of those things you go 'This won't go well' and then it still doesn't meet my very low expectations.

Someone had a great idea. The set is $50 overpriced and even at $100 it's garbage. However why not include mini builds of famous landmarks? The mini builds make no sense. Nothing about this set makes sense. It's a winner of worst set of 2024.

My guess is Lego Corp didn't want a bigger plane while they had a $120 City plane.

But for $150, which the price is picked before the set is designed, how about a small plane with a figure? Some more micro builds you can stick on the flat Earth or plane. Lego could have made something but this is low effort.

Plus who is this set for? Kids? No. Adults? 😂

It reminds me of that family tree set that came out not too long ago. They’ve locked in boys, girls, and adult males/dads, now they’re trying to get that mom demographic locked down after dabbling with the floral arrangements.

Are you saying the botanical sets are only the mom demographic? As a horticulturist I'm offended. :p

The difference is the flower sets are some of the best selling sets every year while this and the family tree are not. I just checked Target, which the tree is exclusive. Orchid set is the 6th best seller, the family tree is around 250th.

Speaking of Target they have some Minecraft sets on sale. 20-30% off. Might be worth a look if you are a fan.

Not at all actually, I think the secondary marketing focus was moms for the flowers, or really dads buying for moms to get them interested really, the family tree and travels are primarily focused on moms though, first and foremost.
