LEGO Deals 3

I know it’s like beating a dead horse at this point but found what appeared to be 2 brand new nearly full cases at Target checklanes today when getting groceries. Scanned every single one, going lane by lane. Only thing missing, yep, Wolfpack.

Clearance was light, the Wish Castle that no one seems to want was down to $45, the Sonic plane was only 15% off ($33.99), and the X-jet also was only 15% off ($72.25).

found a clearance X-jet at Target at 50%, grabbed it just in case I don't find a cheaper one at Walmart. also grabbed one of the Animal Crossing sets for 50% off. stopped at a Walmart that had what appeared to be a full box of series 27 but of course all of the wolfpacks were gone. did get a couple cat ladies for my wife and her friend though,
I honestly was indifferent to the wolfpack guy but now its become a mission to find one in the wild. otherwise I am hoping they sell the wolf in the pick a brick selection down the road.

the walmart I originally saw the X-jet back a couple weeks ago was sold out now so glad I grabbed the one at Target yesterday. looked back at my pics from that day and the Target one was cheaper anyways.
stopped at the Walmart closest to me, one in a less than nice neighborhood where all Lego are locked up. they had about two boxes of series 27 behind the glass but about 10-12 figures had the QR codes facing out, was able to scan them and there was one wolfpack but I had to wait for the employee come to unlock them. when she finally came I scanned a couple more but wasn't able to find another in the immediate stack and didn't want to keep her long but she told me there was a hanging shipper on the endcap, which appeared to be untouched - found three more wolfpack!

I went to one of the Lego stores in my city and bought 5 Series 27 figures but they didn't have any Wolfpack guys. She even checked the boxes in the back for me and they had 4 in the back that all the Wolfpack guys had been stolen from.

The Twilight house is up for preordering because I know everyone here are massive fans.

Nice looking, overpriced house.

That thing is real!?!? Man, Lego really bounces between seeming like they know their market better than any other company and then eating crayons… Talk about a fandom that’s waning… and over $200 for it… oof

Heart wreath / ornament is $6.50 at Target. Go buy it for your wives for Valentine's Day otherwise she gets half of all your LEGO in the divorce. 😚

I showed a pic to my wife and she assumed it was an old set from 15 years ago. Baffling that Lego would release this in 2025
those tweens who grew up with the movies are adults with disposable income now

saw a rumor of a new $300 Disney D2C set coming later this year, said to be the Beauty and the Beast castle

Ended up using my Black Friday Insiders coupons on a 6 pack of Series 27 hoping for Wolfpack Beastmaster - and I got him. Unfortunately, didn't get most of the other ones I had interest in, but I'm still going to chalk it up as a win.

Does anyone know if there is a way to look up what bags go to what set? I tried scanning the QR codes on the bags but it crashes my phones.

Nintendo is having a raffle. 10 platinum points and you can win the KK Lego set, and a AC blanket and hoodie. These points are rather useless so it might be worth it.

Useless!?!? I’ll have you know I ordered an NES Championship trucker hat just this last Monday with my platinum points.

Curious brick news.

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., (Jan. 28, 2025)— Mattel, Inc (NASDAQ: MAT), an innovator in toys for 80 years and leading global toy and family entertainment company with one of the most iconic brand portfolios in the world, announced today a new brand in the building sets category, Mattel Brick Shop™. Mattel Brick Shop is being introduced for the first time at Nuremberg International Toy Fair. Leveraging trusted legacy and expertise of Mattel, Mattel Brick Shop is designed to disrupt the status quo, bending the rules of building with innovative features, materials and techniques that inspire builders to try something new.

Putting the builder at the center of every experience, Mattel Brick Shop provides a quality brick fit, easy to follow playbooks, sturdy builds and endless creativity to expand the builder’s imagination. The goal of Mattel Brick Shop is to deliver value with every product, including more surprise features, more post-build opportunities like customization and more piece count, all at a competitive price.

"Today marks an exciting new chapter as we introduce Mattel Brick Shop,” said Roberto Stanichi, executive vice president, global head of vehicles and building sets. “Our commitment is to deliver building sets that surpass builder’s expectations, with elevated designs and authentic details at accessible price points and I’m looking forward to revealing our first product line in a few months."

The first product drop from Mattel Brick Shop will be this May with new building sets to be released in the years to come. Building fans can stay up to date on the latest information from Mattel Brick Shop at www.MattelBrickShop.com

I'm trying to figure out what the hell Mattel is doing as this is separate from the Mega brand that they own.

On top of that it’s extra silly that like half the licenses they have are already available in Lego anyway (Disney, Frozen, Cars, Jurassic World, Wicked). Then as you pointed out there’s already Mega, which accounts for another good chunk of their licenses (Hot Wheels, Barbie).

So it’s gotta be unlicensed stuff I guess? Introducing new Mega Modulars line! I dunno, this is bizarre.

They have renamed Mega Blocks several times in the last decade so maybe they are trying to move on from it. But in case it fails they have Mega to fall back on.

However there are pictures of bricks with 'Mattel' on them. A new mold for every brick? Super confused.

Fingers crossed for more Mega Fallout sets … since LEGO will never touch that theme, I can also safely say the AliExpress knock off power armor sets are actually exceptionally well done too.

I forgot it's February.

I like them but I'm skipping this round. Unless LEGO wants to give me one of the sets for free again. 😂 (They refunded my train station set.)

If you want the Castle sets they are like half sold out within an hour.

Castle is sold out.
Encampment is 99% gone.

When do you think LEGO will wake the fuck up and just make a Castle theme? Hell just make more Creator Castle sets of different scales.

Lego posted a new reel teasing Jurassic World Rebirth sets that shows a new JP jeep, the main character and a black and yellow spinosaurous that isn't updated to match what's actually in the film.

Just watched that trailer and have no idea why they're trying to get egg samples.

The plot of the move is life no longer finds a way. All the dinosaurs have started dying besides those near the equator. A team lead by Scarlett what's her name has been hired to find DNA of the biggest dinosaurs of land sea and air to find a cure for some human disease. This leads the team to a secret Ingen island that was the real place the real research into cloning dinosaurs took place. What about Site B? What Site B? Forget about that island, the writers clearly did.

Brick fanatics has an updated retiring list. Really interesting is Dreamzzz is probably dead at the end of the year as all the sets retire. Almost all City sets from January are retiring, all the City Space sets are. Modular hotel and night club retire. Shockingly both current winter village sets retire. The Santa Post Office hasn't seemed to be well received. Daily Bugle is retiring too. Pretty much all Castle related things retire. But we will get a new $120 Creator Castle.

Here's the list.

With the Castle stuff retiring... does this mean we are getting a new Wolfpack Lego Castle line next year?

Picked up the Disney castle and gringotts bank. First order shipped everything, second order still has one gwp in processing status.

Series 7 of Bricklink is up for voting. 400 things. The only important thing to note is that there are a lot of Wolfpack designs and a few very basic Lion knights.

All other fractions aren't there so if they are on Bricks and Pieces you might want to stock up. Those are probably being phased out.
