25% off clearance toys at TRU starting tomorrow running through July 17.

Some clearance sets off the top of my head include SW Home One, the big farm set, helicopter transport, SW The Twilight, and some Technics sets too.

Anybody ever price adjust a clearance item at TRU?
Is that advertised? Coupon?

The new Imperial Shuttle is listed as a S @ H / Lego Store exclusive set to be released Sept 1st. No price yet.

Pre-orders are now open for the real Shuttle $99.99 through S @ H.

S@H just uploaded a ton of new items to clearance, (Indiana Jones, Power Miners) check now before they sell out. Drawbridge Defense was up, but is already sold out.

Nice grabbed the Canal Chase and Chauchilla Cemetery ... I'm going to miss Indiana Jones ... now I just need to find a Temple of Doom set on clearance at Target (I'm sure it will happen soon) and I'll be set.

Coupon code B311 takes $5 off $25, I think. All I know is that it worked for me, so I hope it works for the rest of you :)

It happened between your post and mine...so maybe 3:00 am Eastern???
I wonder if they even had the drawbridge in stock at all for it to sell out at that hour.

I know somebody here was looking for the Fighter Plane Attack set which is still in stock.

Half the Targets around here already clearanced their IJ sets, but I missed getting the Temple of Doom waiting for it to drop to 75% off when it never went past 50%. Surprised TRU hasn't done away with these yet.

33% & 40% borders coupons, check your email. I'd link to the online version of the mail, but for some reason, the forums aren't being my friend :(

33% off any one item, 40% off any one kids toy

The clearance sale is live, got a Home One set I bought in that SW BOGO50%off adjusted to $67.:applause: Wanted the Helicopter Transport but they didn't have any left.:bomb:

Saved $23 dollars, and then turned around and bought $25 worth of Transformers. If anyone cares, my store got the new Generations figures in stock that have the War for Cybertron Prime and Bumblebee.:hot:

The new Shuttle set is out at the local LEGO Store ... might be worth checking if you live near a LEGO store and were interested in the set.
6/27/10 thru 7/3/10 Toys 'R Us BOGO 50% Off All LEGO except Star Wars sets - Offer only in stores, not online.
where do you see this? I do not see this in the ad?

It wasn't part of the ad apparently. I received their weekly "new ad" email at 4 in the morning today (Sunday) and below the link to the new ad there was a box that said In-Store Only...and mentioned this deal. I just looked and can't find this deal mentioned on their website anywhere, so maybe only those who get the emails were told about it (a Rewards Zone member thing perhaps???) I wonder if I should print out my email before I go to the store, as proof? I won't be able to go until later today to verify that the deal actually works.

god damn it... they aren't advertised yet the sale is on? how un-promotional is that?

I just stopped by like 2 hours, since no sale, I didn't bother, I asked like 2 people, one of them the ass. manager, and "no sale".

seriously it's a hidden sale?

Edited: I corrected it, I apologize.

I just got back from the SF Pride Parade. :booty:

I hate you. :booty:

The only gay pride I have gone to is in Northampton MA, it's the lesbian capital of America. :) It's boring and I don't like it at all.

Frankly most of the gay guys I have ever met I don't like, so that doesn't help pride. The smart gay - bi guys don't show up.

I'm about as far from PC as it gets, working with pornography (lots of bondage) on a daily basis tends to do that to you, but do we really have to go there? Can we set aside the personal stuff and keep it professional?

I don't want to be that guy, but someone has to do it.

Can you get me a job?

And professional? It's the internet, we are mostly adults talking about LEGO sales...

We hardly hire anyone, and the pay sucks. Trust me, it's not worth it. It just has enough flexibility and grants me enough freedom to keep me happy.

True, this IS adults talking about toys, but do we need to take it to that childish level? I thought we were all moderately mature human beings.

Are you talking about the homophobic remark or the response to it? Because I think only the former was childish.

Got my EE.com shipment of figures yesterday. Same standard ratio of figs already posted many times over. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for Series 2 preorders on there, as theres a free shipping code that came on the newest catalog, good for orders through Aug 31st.

It's a unique code, I believe, but if you request a catalog it'd likely arrive before preorders start/close.

Can't be that much 'flexibility and freedom' if it's bondage now can it ;)

Now that we've gotten the gay rights and hardcore porn out of the way ... the July LEGO magnet is pretty sweet if you're a collector of classic LEGO items. It's a classy piece that has a little plaque on it -

I would highly recommend picking it up with the new Shuttle which is really fantastic, though you can get it with any purchase of $75+ I actually got mine without the coupon when I picked up the Shuttle from my local Santa Clara Lego Store yesterday ... I think it's because it fits so well with that new set that they just decided to be nice and throw it in ... so ask for it, even if you don't have the coupon.

There's also a keychain variant of the same figure for sale, but it's not quite as nice as the magnet imo ... since it's an actual minifigure that comes off the magnet.

I went to the Lego Store at Downtown Disney today and they didn't have the shuttle. =-( They did have it on display though, looking really nice. I'm glad they didn't charge more for it but $100 is nice.

Hmm, that's strange that they didn't have it ... I know the 'official' release date is July 1st but it sounded like a memo went out from corporate telling the LEGO stores to start selling early.

I guess the benefit is ... uhm, you live close enough to go to the LEGO store in freakin Downtown Disney? ;) I may have the shuttle before you, but you can go ride the Indiana Jones ride and eat churros whenever you feel like it ... so who's the real winner? ;)

Hey buddy, you have Paramount Studios up there and Marine World, not to mention the 49ers and the Giants! On a serious note though, they told me they were going to get there shipment on Monday so it might have been delayed somewhere down the road. I didn't check the Ontario Mills store though, I was tired from my trip to Disneyland (Yes, I go there all the time but I rarely go on the Indiana Jones ride due to my 2 year old).

If anyone is into Technic, seems like they are clearancing the big Tractor set, marked at 79, but with the "Bargain sale" taking additional 25% off at TRU.

And again, wish there was a Lego store around here... the Magnet looks nice.

Doesn't TRU carry the Sub Mech http://atlantis.lego.com/en-US/Products/Default.aspx#8080 ?? Or am I stuck at only grabbing this online?

I'll be waiting for that... shipping was 15 for the box, but it's not getting here for another couple of says. With TRU not carrying them at all, and Borders only getting 1 box.... it's ridiculous.

Glad I read this earlier. I went to TRU and bought the City Impulse sets that had the pig since it didn't work the other day with the coupon and 2 Apple Houses. So, I can confirm that the sale is legit, but there isn't any advertising in the store to reflect that. Weird.

You can also spend $75 at S@H starting tomorrow to get it

Why are people making issue of the word "ghey?" It's a slang form of "gay" that removes the homosexual connotation and just leaves the "lame" connotation.

So "ghey" is appropriate.

:D

If that is truly the origin of "ghey," then that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. You can't divorce a term from its offensive origins just by changing the spelling, especially when you're using it in context. Spelling it "niiggahr" doesn't fool anyone into forgetting where that word came from or what it means. It just makes you look doubly ignorant. Find another word to express your disapproval. It's not that hard.

Back to LEGOs: So at this point, should I even bother looking at TRU for the first series minifigs, or has that ship sailed?

lots of stores around me keep getting shipments in, take the id number and call first

I believe Target has them programmed in their system if you do a price check on one of the bags, but I don't think any have been spotted at those stores yet.

Target and Kmart have the minifigs in their system. Canadian Walmarts have gotten them in also. They will probably show up when they start putting out summer sets...eventhough Target half-ass started doing this last week with the Racers, Kingdoms, and games.

Well my numbers from the box EE shipped...

Zombie 3
Skater 3
Robot 4
Nurse 3
Ninja 4
Magician 4
Tribal Hunter 4
Forestman 5
Diver 5
Dummy 5
Clown 3
Cheerleader 3
Caveman 4
Spaceman 4
Cowboy 3
Wrestler 3

Massive amount of Divers and Dummies.

If Target and Kmart will get them, I might want to pick up some more Zombies... Seems like that's all I am missing from what I wanted.

Series 2 is going to be rough, there are so many more that I want than just 1 or 2 of.
You can also spend $75 at S@H starting tomorrow to get it
well I wouldn't have to pay tax, but shipping for that much would be roughly 15-20 depending on what I got.... not worth it for one magnet.

Interesting. So I guess not all the boxes are the same.

BTW, S@H is offering free shipping on orders over $75 as well, so you wouldn't have to pay shipping either.

Lucky assortment. I'd rather have 4 Tribal Hunters and 5 Forestmen. I just went through my first box and it was the regular assortment. (BBTS seems to get their stuff later more often than sooner.)

I was lucky/determined to find some extra Zombies at TRU. I was able to get two more between two boxes. You gotta be the first to see the box to get the zombies.

Thankfully, for my wallet, series 2 for me is no where near as desireable as series 1. Three boxes plus a few TRU extras barely give me a nice amount of figures for many sets/themes. I think I said before, the Trojan is the only one that I will be hunting for more. Otherwise, one box of series 2 is all I'm getting.

I'll trade any two of diver, dummy, wrestler, magician, skater, and clown for one Trojan.

FYI: Be careful with the clown's horn. Don't try to have him hold it to play it. He won't have a good grip (bad quality piece) and it will sling shot in the room. I hope I can find it before a vacuum cleaner does.
