wow, combine that with double VIP, they'll make a small fortune.

I'll have about $40 once it adds up everything... unsure if I'll just sit on that till another exclusive comes out or what. I could easily earn another $5 later and get a cheap $50 item....

Just ordered the Winter Village Bakery and Winter Toy Shop sets. Free shipping, double points, and applied a $5 credit I had.

Looks like we'll be seeing actual Lego CARS sets in May, not just duplo!:applause:

Also, looks like maybe a UCS style Lightning McQueen as well. Good stuff, if that list is to be believed.

The list is probably correct because it comes from store catalogs, that's what the long number is.

Someone is excited for City Space?! Really? I thought the sets looks horrible.

Anyone know if or when TRU is going to do their Buy 1 Get 1 Half-off on LEGO's again??

Has anyone seen the Kingdoms Advent Calendar in a non-LEGO store as of yet?

Yeah this week is BOGO 50% on most themes, City, Atlantis, Racers, ect.

On the list if it has a number 5--- it's most likely a Duplo set.

Of course it excludes Star Wars. I need AT-AT and Clone Turbo Tank.

You just missed the big sale a couple weeks ago. You could've gotten that CTT for $75 or so.

Target had a bunch of stuff on sale today. The small pink and blue buckets were $10 each, but they were all gone. A lot of other stuff was marked down 5-10%. Only one I can remember is the Turbo Tank for $107.
Of course it excludes Star Wars. I need AT-AT and Clone Turbo Tank.
Yup, I paid $155 for both sets shipped to my house. The total amount would have been a bit higher because I used a $10gc and a $5 rewards coupon but still couldn't beat it. Retail for those 2 sets alone together is going to run you at least $230+ tax. Sorry bud, your about 2 1/2 weeks late!

EDIT: Still very thankful to cutiepatootie for the %20off coupon

It always excludes Star Wars. You missed the 25% off Star Wars sale a few (edit) weeks ago.

Just got back from the Lego store in Ontario Mills, CA...yawn. No outlet deals. Back to VA tomorrow.

Do TRU stores carry the train tracks or is that online only?

Too bad you missed out on TRU's deal on the CTT. I think that's the best deal you'll see on that. If you have a Walmart near you, the CTT is $94.54 online with free site-to-site shipping.

Amazon has had it for about that low too, I think the lowest I've seen it was $92 or so, almost forgot about that.

It's been pretty much dead there, the last time they even remotely had anything good there was at least a few months ago. You should have taken my offer on the Green Grocer, I would have bought it and held it for you! BTW how was your sisters wedding? Please don't tell me you were that one drunk in the wedding j/k but it wasn't you right? :whistle2:#

I hope your leaving out of Ontario and not LAX, damn people around here can't drive in the rain.

It's okay...I wouldn't have been able to jump on any Lego deals as the freakin airlines charge $25 for each piece of luggage. That green grocer wouldn't pass for carry-on!

I did manage to find those Target halloween impulse bags...never saw one in all of VA. I would never have stopped at Target if the TSA hadn't made me throw away all my shaving cream.

I did buy a ton of See's candy...and I will sit there and eat it all if they give me a hard time about that!

Sorry for posting this late - I just checked Fred Meyer and all LEGOs are 20% off this week. Should be the same at other Kroger-owned stores too. No additional toy coupons in the flyer. Not a huge savings, but I thought it was worth mentioning. They carry the full lineup of HP and SW, advent calendar, minifigures, and most other sets, all at retail price.

And the rest of the sales suck!

Thanks for the heads up on the sales!

glad I picked up my TRU truck early. $10 more is just nuts.

My Armada ship arrived... it's HUGE. one of my biggest I've ever owned.

I really have no where to put it... but I need to make a Dock for it.
Just got a 20% off coupon in the email from TRU.

20% off any regularly priced item. Valid 10/23 and 10/24.
Just 2 days? Is it a rewards coupon?

I wonder if it's unique.....

I can't believe they are raising the price $10 for the TRU truck, I thought it was too much $ before, and never picked it up even during the sales they had. I really like it though, I probably would have bought it but my son does not show much interest in the city sets for some reason.

Does anybody have for sale the Lego White Boba Fett Polybag? I'm just asking before I go to ebay and buy it there. I haven't seen or heard of any other way to get it. So I figured I would just ask here.

Thanks

Yes the number is unique.. It looks identical to the code that was sent to Rewards members about 2-3 weeks ago.

The title of the e-mail is "Rewards Members Only! 20% Savings Coupon Plus 2 Day Bonus Deals, Fri. & Sat. Only!"

It specifically says on the coupon SINGLE USE ONLY.

Someone on bricklink has one for $35 + $3 shipping.

PoP sets are still 20-25% off at Walmart. I broke down and picked up the Ostrich Race for $15 and the Desert Attack for $7 since they were the last ones.

There are some sets at BOGO 50% off at TRU:
So wondering if I should order through Lego.com and get double points or get 20% off at Fred Meyer?
Assuming what you're buying is at Retail Price at both stores, here you go.....

Lego.com: $5 bonus for spending $100 = Essentially 5% off
Lego.com Double Points: $5 bonus for spending $50 = Essentially 10% off
Fred Meyer: 20% off in store
I couldn't find it on the TRU site, but is the B1G.5 sale in stores too?
Yeah. I bought the two trucks (TRU and Lego) for $39.99 and $17.48. I then proceeded to nearly meltdown the system by using two coupons and a $5 reward. Cashier was super nice and tried all the possible combinations of coupons and rewards certificate...turns out the $5 reward couldn't be used because it was causing the total to go below $50 which was required by the coupons. It was nice that she did that so I could keep the $5 reward and use it on something else. Paid $43 and got the Bricktober fireman magnet.

I haven't seen any of the POP stuff at Walmart drop again, and actually most of it is moving well enough without another markdown. Just want The Battle for Alamut for cheap.

Also noticed that Border's got the Potter sets in stock. Doby set was $12.99 ($2 cheaper than I thought it would be), Quiditch set was $24.99, Express set for $94.99, and the Burrows or Hagrid's for a $10-15 mark-up. 40% off coupon could make some of these workable.

Update: I took my son to the bricktober 500 event at my TRU. Each kid got to make 2 cars. He had fun doing that.
Then we went to the Lego aisle and we looked around. I told him I liked the TRU truck and he said that is advertising for TRU, LOL he is 9. But he said he liked the truck and so we bought it, he also liked the CITY airplane so we got BOGO 1/2 off and the retro magnet #4. The manager had to look all over for the magnet and they had none left for week 3, so she gave me week 4. So now I own #2 and #4.

I would like to trade someone a week #2 magnet for a week 1 or week 3, or something similar.

I went to Bricktober 500 at 1pm and by that time, they were out of axles and wheels (so they just said build whatever). The axles and wheels that people already had were technic sized. There were really no pieces that were suitable for buiding a car. It looked like it was just excess inventory from pick-a-brick that only included 1x4, 1x6, 1x8, 2x8 plates, and various regular bricks no smaller than 1x3 (only in white), but mainly 2x8. So no special pieces except I was able to get a 6x12 brown plate. They had mostly white, red, yellow, blue pieces, but they had some black, brown, and green (only in 2 different sizes each). So I basically put together a big block consisting of the latter colors plus some small whites. I left plenty pieces on the table and only built to the size of many other people. One kid was making a house 4 times bigger than anyone else. There was a folded cardboard box that served as a racing slide.

I don't think they liked me building something since all their official fliers said it was for kids. But I think the manager and other employees let me slide since they all recognize me as a regular paying customer.

I think I overheard them talking about kicking one other adult out since he was just grabbing as many pieces as possible (maybe he took all special pieces). I was expecting a completely different assortment that would have had a 4x8 car base and had appropiate wheels, sloped and headlight pieces to tack on. Or something like the Creators small vehicles.

Then I bought two TRU trucks just in time for the BOGO 50% off + not paying $50 tomorrow or beyond. I asked if they had Week 4 figures, but they said they might not have them until Tuesday. Luckily they were able to scrounge up a Week 2 figure because I the fireman was the least desirable. (mikeyp, you got lucky IMHO.) I would like a bunch of Week 4 figures, but I don't know what I would even buy now since I stocked up already during Bricktober.

What's the sale look like for Week 4?

I checked out the Bricktober 500 event with my son and were allowed to make 1 car. No adults were allowed to build on their own, but were allowed to help out with their kids.

As far as parts go. We were able to make a decent car and stacked it heavy with parts. You can't go wrong when something is free and you can't complain either.

BEST PART. I needed the free magnet so I made a purchase that came out to approximately $45. I must of had a new cashier because at the end of the transaction she kept on scanning the magnets and throwing them in my bag. I ended up with 9 Fire Chiefs! I just smiled and walked towards the exit.

Went to Borders. They didn't have any Harry Potter sets -- wasn't surprised -- this Borders has a very small LEGO selection. Potentially decided to pick up Woody's Roundup because the pieces were awesome (brown, tan, grey) minus the figures, but it didn't have a price sticker. Three employees couldn't find it in the system. Manager offered it to me for 49.99 and said deal if I could use the 40% coupon. So I got it for $30+tax. A bit better than eBay ($28 + $10 shipping).

It looks like it's only on 4 or 5 selected sets. I was going to get the TIE Defender, but it's not pictured.

Judging by online prices it looks like the pictured sets are 25% off and all the rest are 10% off.

The Star Wars sets that are 25% off works out to be less than 10% off MSRP. Emperor Palpatine’s Shuttle would be the only set worth getting as its 18.76% off the MSRP price. Costco still has this set cheaper.

Here's the comparison.

LEGO 8096 Emperor Palpatine’s Shuttle $48.74 (MSRP reg.$59.99 – TRU reg.$64.99)
LEGO 8093 Plo Koon’s Starfighter $22.49 (MSRP reg.$24.99 – TRU reg.$29.99)
LEGO 8084 Snowtrooper Battle Pack $11.24 (MSRP reg.$11.99 – TRU reg.$14.99)
LEGO 8083 Rebel Trooper Battle Pack $11.24 (MSRP reg.$11.99 – TRU reg.$14.99)

Also, there's 10% off the rest of the Star Wars sets at TRU, but we all know that pretty much only brings the prices back to MSRP.

Got another good yard sale find on Saturday. I picked up the first Harry Potter castle for $5. It's missing a couple of minifigs and probably a few pieces, but it will still be cheaper than the new one at $130. I missed out on this huge lot though. The kid said a guy came by a couple of hours before bought it all.

Why does the UK gets free Lego sets with their newspaper? I would totally buy a Sunday Boston Globe if it came with a free Lego set :)
