Like a condom...for your games...

i am going to try them as soon as i start getting some new games (which will be within the next couple of months).

what was that about liplocking a seal?
Thats a good one!
yeah you know... im trying to improve my one liners lol even tho i can never compete with the OP lol

Looks very useful, especially if you have younger siblings that like to touch.

They should make some for min-cd's so I can use them on Gamecube discs.

Its good with little kids and stupid roomates. I live alone and I am very carefull so I can't really get too excited for these things.

I dunno about these things... im kinda scared they would come off and screw your consoles up. Nothing is worse than a broken condom to screw up the insides of something you love.

my g/f has a little annoying and careless 8 year old brother who likes to mess with my games, so once i pick up some new games, i am getting some of these from my work.
*wondering how much they cost...* :whistle2:k
best buy has a 20 pack for 17.99

they also have a 5 pack but I never checked the price

agreed but you dont see much mini disc around nowadays and i remember i saw this on tv in cali.. its pretty cool, it seems like an idea of "geez it so simple why didnt i think of that"

i get a discount at gamestop since i work there, so i will be happy getting some of those.

That is comedy gold right there.

I'm right on top of these as soon as someone posts a good deal on some. Best I can find right now is $18 for 20 at bestbuy.

Um...err...LMFAO...I guess because consoles and game discs need love too. Um, safe, protected love I guess.

These things sound cool, but I doubt they're worth it. At $1 each, I don't think they're going to be some miracle product that will keep all of your discs scratch-free forever. The product description says that if the skins get scratched, you can just throw them out and replace them. That right there tells me that they are not going to be very durable.

As cool as the skins are, I don't really see much use for them. Sure, they may protect against minor scratches, but nothing that would really affect a disc anyways. Save your money, people.

I'd put these on my Dreamcast games...but my Dreamcast has been been quite jealous of my Gamecube as of late, and I'm afraid it would poke holes in them to guilt me into marriage.

I think its about damn time these came out...I cant wait to see how they work...Ive been taking great care of my discs but some how they get scratched...the only time they are out of the case is when they are about to be popped into a system...yet they get scratches...
Does anyone else think it would be really embarrassing to buy the gamecube version?
That reminds me of those Little Pecker Condoms I saw at Spencers a long time ago.

Gamestop was supposed to give out some for used games bought there, but the girl was a bitch and didnt give me one for matrix, even when the tin said in big red letters DEMO!!

I saw one of these at a Hastings, there was something very cheesy and cheap about its appearance. It didnt look reliable, more like seran wrap.

Thats dumb, the sensetive side is the side with the label, because data is on the reverse side of the label.

The bottom of the disc already has a thick plastic coating.

You guys are missing the whole idea of these. They don't stop your discs from being scratched, they just add another layer to be scratched, which no doubt they will be scratched and then you will have to buy more, what the hell is the point of that? Just be careful with your games in the first place and don't let any stupid ass 8 year olds touch them and start being a man.

And, i've always been a firm believer of "Never use condoms, they take away all the feelin"

I have a friend that uses the D-Skins and they work generally well for things like DVDs, CD's, etc. But when it came time to put these on his PS2 games, there were times that the PS2 wouldn't read the disc. I'm not sure if it doesn't work at all, but the games I tried that had the D-skin on weren't being read.

The skins almost seem to come off with a little too much ease. They'll generally stick to the disc, but if you wanted to, it wouldn't take much to get it off. My friend confirmed this fear, telling me that he wouldn't dare put a D-skin CD into his car's CD-player.

Just some advice in case you plan to buy them.

The Skins do NOT work on any Front Feeding device (Such as a Car stereo). If it doesn't use a tray to take the disc, it probably won't work with the D Skins.

yea they do

i forgot where i saw it, but i remember seeing a similar product's ad in some magazine about a year ago. except it was actually called "CD Condom" or "DVD Condom." Made me chuckle.

This looks like an interesting product, but I just can't imagine how these would be snapped into place without risking any damage on the disc. I mean the skin is going to touch the surface of the disc, so chances are that applying the skin would cause some minor scratches. And these are still way too expensive :x
