Kinda lame! They only have 4,500 copies and tripples pack take away from many peoples score 1 copies. Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath is high demand title they should do pre-order. It's LRG they under estimated casual gamers sometimes. Kinda disappointed because i did not get 1 either. Still now big deal i save $30
The qty's where probably decided awhile ago, and the developers have the biggest say in that, so I wouldn't really say LRG is at fault for the amounts made. Now the qty's per order is a different story, but you'll always have someone not happy, so it's the nature of the beast.
Personally I think it was a mistake to release two high demand games on the same day. People who wanted one of the two titles probably snagged the other just because. Not to mention 2 copies per order and a triple pack as well, which allocates three copies of one game to a single person. Variant covers are nice and all, but seriously, you shouldn't be doing variants (or doing random variants fulfilled during shipping) if there's a >ten second window to order.
I thought Firewatch would be an easy score when I first heard of it (7200 copies) but I barely got one. I'm blaming you Vita collectors XD.
First time in a long time I've been disappointed with LRG and their handling of stock. I don't think this is a sign of things to come though, I think it was just two good games going up at once without proper order limits or quantities.
I've voiced this same opinion in the past, but considering their operation, I guess it's better for them to have multiple games released on the same day, so there can be some combined orders. I thought they could do one at 7am, and then the next at 8am or something to that effect, and even paying shipping twice, would be better than trying to get soundtracks, and games at one time(can be 4 different items at once). But I guess that would create tons of single orders, that would take months to ship, so I guess the way it is is probably best.
I learned my lesson with this early on, so now if two killer games are released the same day, I get my most wanted in the am, and then get the next in the pm. It cost an extra $5, but better than missing out on 1 in the morning, and no chance in hell of getting 2 in the pm. And I just stopped getting the soundtracks altogether, as I never listen to those anyway.
The same for PS4 games, I don't own a system yet, and once the releases started coming more often, I had to give up the PS4 games. I know I'll get a PS4 someday, and I would love some of these games physical, but I have to draw the line someplace.
