What time do they usually release what their new game will be? I’m willing to give limitedrungames a go with a Switch game. Hopefully it’s Shovel Knight or something really awesome.

All Switch games are Open Preorders besides the CE.

It's not going to be Shovel Knight. They can publish it themselves.

Now to see what's included in the CE for CSH, and the pricing of course.

They really should make the standard edition of CSH a preorder though.  I mean, even if they don't announce it as a preorder it will likely still take 2 months to get to fans, so why not make it an open preorder for two weeks then?  This is also one of those titles (along with Salt and Sanctuary) that everyone has been clamoring for over the last two years.

 
This preorder stuff is kinda bunk. Let's not pretend they can't afford to release games at this point, supporting preorders is bad. They don't really deserve an interest free loan on our behalf

In case you haven't noticed, every game they offer now is basically a preorder, even if they haven't been announced as such. I'm still waiting on orders from early March to ship that were never sold as "preorders." Everything is presold while its still in manufacturing it seems.

I miss the times when stuff was only sold when it was on hand and you would receive it within two weeks.

 
Yeah I was gonna edit and say the same. It's gotten over the top now, hardly anyhing you order is actually produced and ready to ship anymore, which I thought was what the slowing down on releases was supposed to address?

Now this I would not recommend doing. LRG has been up front about the games being in manufacturing and not being sent immediately so its not really a surprise unless you don't read the description before hand.

Also, this would be a quick way to get permanently banned from ordering from them in the future.

 
Fyi Doug has gone on record that the $10/$15 dollar pricing difference is officially out the window in their forums, seems kinda crappy since the statements to that affect gave me early faith in lrg

Yeah, where's csbaker been, I haven't seen that joker around here in awhile, he always made the thread lively. Maybe not in a good way, but entertaining none the less, bring him on! LOL

Am I misremembering or at one point weren't they talking about offering Kickstarter backers first dibs on purchasing physical copies? I think Douglas said they were planning on printing extra for those purposes, but it's been over a year since this was last discussed.

Crap, been away for a while and trying to get caught up.  Notice that CSH that I've been waiting forever is finally coming....and of course this is right after I finally broke down after years waiting and bought it digital at the end of last month. :oldman:

Now I got to remember where I stuck all those tickets I was saving.

He also may have taken his special brand of serial trolling to another site where the activity is more lively. Release days have been pretty dead around here for awhile, as there's not much complaining of not being able to get certain releases anymore.

Yeah, I've been actively trying to follow the TC situation, but the info there is probably worse than any other info LRG provides(or not). I would need to check my cards, but I think I've only gotten 2 golds out of God only knows how many cards. I guess I should put that on my to do list, and see what I have. I figured the TC could be a little fun side diversion to waiting on certain LRG releases, but without the TC packs, I just can't get enough cards to actually do much. Which defeats the purpose of "trading" cards to begin with.

Josh had said here on the forum a while back that the packaging people are responsible for randomizing when a gold card is inserted, and they are tighter with the gold cards at the beginning of the order for fear of not leaving enough gold cards. Then the closer they get to filling all orders the more gold cards get put in. When they buy the cards 1/10 of the total production run is gold.

This probably explains why both of my “exclusive” Night Trap cards from the Nintendo Force orders were gold. I’m kind of salty that they advertised these cards as being exclusive then in the end it looks like LRG just gave Nintendo Force 5k of their left over cards from the original Night Trap cards run. Don’t tell customers an item is exclusive if it’s not for fuck sake. On Twitter I’ve only seen the 3 variations of this card that they sent with the PS4 orders.

Keep in mind that they almost always include multiple gold foil cards in the bundles they offer so the actual amount given to us plebians that just order the individual games is much, much less. In fact, I have every numbered LRG release to date and have received a grand total of one gold foil card in all my orders.

 
I have exactly 38 LRG loyalty tickets. Would 100% redeem them for CSH if I had enough. If my pending orders arrived I would have enough, but I doubt the turnaround time will be quick enough for me to reserve a copy, even if they shipped Monday.

I reached 41 with my last order, but I'm holding out for a rewards specific only item(if any are still planned). Yet another area where info is little to none, so I'm just waiting until I know for sure on way or another. I know the minute I send them in, some variant or special rewards item will show up. It will probably take at least another year for me to get back to 40 tickets, but if nothing special is coming, I'll for sure use them for something ASAP.

 
Been away from the thread for awhile. Have there been any hints or good predictions for what this mystery game might be? There's alot of chatter on Facebook about the possibility it's Pixeljunk Monsters.

Pretty much confirmed to be PixelJunk Monsters 2 at this point. When the development studio tweeted the release details, they originally mentioned a "limited edition physical version", but they removed the graphic at the same time LRG postponed the announcement.

Right now, everything looks great on the 25th, even the Kemco game (which is supposedly one of their better games). Still waiting on final numbers for the SMRPG and CSH CEs but not sure how I'm going to get an order in for everything without something selling out.

SMRPG is a pre-order, so no limit.

I am a bit worried about CSH though. T____T

I mean, it's so anticipated of a title, there's no way it could be that low...right?....

The standard edition of SMRPG is an open preorder. The CE though, the one I will likely be going for, will be limited to however many they decide to limit it to. If the past is any indication their prior Switch CEs have sold out within a couple minutes. The standard edition is a good fallback though in case I miss on the CE.

The standard edition of CSH should really be an open preorder considering how many people have been talking about it over the last two plus years. Even if it isn't an open preorder its still likely going to take at least two months to come out, so why not just make it a real preorder?

So still no confirmation on the secret switch game?  I actually hope (despite it being completely unlikely) that the newly announced 8bit styled Bloodstained Curse of the Moon would be it... and the PJM2 was to throw people off.   That, I would buy.

Yeah, that would be an awesome release, but that game is coming to every current system including the Vita. The mystery game is PS4/NS, so I doubt they wouldn't offer the Vita if that was the title. But we have seen many games delayed on the Vita side of things, so I'll keep my fingers crossed, as that would be a great mystery release for sure.

To be fair they could've just as easily been right, but I thought it was a pretty bold statement when Lawbreakers launched.
