Here is the thing though: Supply and Demand. There is a huge demand for the Wii's and it is seriously undersupplied so stores could easily sell Wii's for 300-500 bucks. They don't though. I just wonder why they do it with the Zapper and not the console.

Search "wii console" on ebay and see how much they're going for and you will see that you point about the competition selling it for less doesn't make sense.
 
I'm guessing they feel (probably with good reason) that Nintendo would stop sending their store Wii's if they sold them for $300+, but probably don't care much if they tack $5 on an accessory or game (as Gamestop does with a lot of DS games etc.).

Nintendo probably wouldn't like the negative PR of stores selling the Wii for above MSRP. It going high on eBay is fine, as it shows high demand, hoarding etc. But stores like Best Buy selling it for more would probably be viewed pretty negatively in general. More on the stores, but probably raise some ill will toward Nintendo as well (eventhough it would be unwarranted).
 
Here is a dumb question. How big is the box for the Zapper and LCT. The reason I am asking this is there is a present with my name on it at my house and well there is a package about the size of a barbie doll (a rough estimation I have no clue how big those boxes are but it is the closet thing I could think of, and my parents did know I wanted one of these buggers). I just don't want to buy an extra one when I don't need it :lol:

bought the size of a barbie box, but a little longer. its about twice as long as it is wide, but I can only estimate since I threw the packaging away

I wish they'd just release a REAL light gun for the wii or had light gun technology in it.

It just won't feel right to play house of the dead with the wiimote, I'll stick to my dreamcast thx.
 
After a couple of weeks of searching, I finally found one at my local WM. They only had two in stock, so I grabbed one. I haven't played much of it, but it seems pretty fun. I don't think the Wii Zapper is that bad, but I couldn't see using it for something like MOH-H2.
 
has anyone tried the Zapper with Red Steel (8 bucks this week at CC!)?

It IS usable and somewhat a bit easier, but the controls for the game are still wonky :whistle2:|

You might want to have the nunchuck loose for this game when you get to the swords part :whistle2:(
 
I picked this up today. Feels a lot better than I thought it would, played the first couple levels and was pretty cool. Better than expected.
 
Got mine today from part of my X-mas gift. I was expecting this to be not so good as to some comments but I am really enjoying it a lot. LCT is a great distraction and thats about it because I will probably never play it again in about 2 weeks except for the few hey let me try this again moments.

Overall the zapper is pretty cool. I can't wait till I get my copy of Umbrella Chronicals and also since I still need to finish Metroid Prime 3, this seems like the perfect way to do it (jumping might be a bit harder but really thats fine) :D
