Link's Crossbow Training! Shipped To Stores! $19.99!

I had no idea about TCP! That stuff's amazing!

I now need to buy a full sized DVD box to insert the Wii Sports insert.

What the heck? you bought LCBT and played through without even using the zapper? Isn't that like getting Wii play and not using the additional remote? I'll be getting this primarily to check out the zapper, and hopefully love the zapper and use it in UC and MoH heroes 2.

That says somethign abotu the quality of the actual game play in LCBT if you can get it and be happy with it without even using the zapper. Either way its only $20!

Or just an indication that the Zapper sucks.

People who buy this, please post impressions of the zapper!

It sounds like he TRIED the Zapper and did not like it. That was a general consenous based on some reviews (IGN). For $20, I'm tempted.

Yeah, just saw the IGN review of the Zapper (not the game). They gave it a 6.5 and sounds like all the things they didn't like about it would bug me as well.

So I'll pass on this for now, and wait and see if a better third party option comes out.

Budget is tight as hell now anyway, with x-mas shopping, travel and a new car payment anyway...

If I see this around I'll pick it up. Nothing worth going out of my way for I don't think. I have a feeling I'll prefer playing without the zapper after reading the reviews and watching videos.

This is very dissapointing to me. IGN is usually spot on with their reviews on gear.

I was thinking this could be really fun for WWII games.
Congrats! I wouldn't trade places with Europe in terms of gaming, ever. ;)
of course, if your expecting to pay under 60 euro for a game, think again. there is NO game deals in the UK. you yankees are lucky. I saw chicken shoot for a ''discount'' of 50 euro

Went to Best Buy and Circuit City today. People gave me weird looks when I asked if they had the Wii Zapper (and I started to mention the cross bow training pack-in) and had no idea what I was talking about. Noone seemed to know what it was. But my local Gamestop got a few in and was able to pick up one. Wonder if this will become hard to find?

My local TRU had some, I skipped it. I've got so many games to play right now and I plan on taking another hit on the B2G1 band wagon.

Those of you who pre-ordered from Amazon: did yours ship yet?

Both it and Ghost Squad are still sitting there, not even in 'processed' mode yet.

I figured both would ship today...I pre-ordered back in mid-October, figured I'd be enough in line for them to ship right away.

Did you happen to know how much TRU was selling it for? I know MSRP is $19.99, but some retailers are selling it for $24.99
BB customer service boy thought I said weed zapper

not one store had it or knew what I was talking about
thats great

I got mine at gamestop, due to having credit there. The game is great, but the zapper takes a little getting used to.

I love how link's crossbow is in the shape of a zapper.

picked up 2 from best buy today for $20

only 1 was on the shelf, down by my feet, but i asked an employee if they had more, and he opened an entire case for me that was sitting up near the front door. i think i saw 8 in the case.

was only planning on 1, but i picked 2 zappers up at BB. $19.99 each too. don't know where all this $24.99 pricing is coming from. but half the employees were apparently told they weren't supposed to sell em til FRIDAY....but one of the guys in the know straight-up said streetdate was the 19th, so theres no problems in selling it...and the guy ACTUALLY said "just get this guy the emma'effin' zapper now or i'll beat your ass". he must've been the supervisor.

and i got the 2nd because the first rang up as $19.99. sweet.

time to john woo RE:UC for the next few hours.....

So c'mon guys whats the deal!!!???

How do you like the zapper?

Is it fun to use or just a hyped up piece o crap?

Did you try it out and stick with it or switch back to regular zapper-less play? How about for UC or Medal of Honor? Anybody, anybody?

If you want to simulate the zapper, hold the nunchuck up to the back of the wiimote (like where it plugs in) and play holding your hands together like that.

zapper is better. my aim is super precise [even though its not true line of sight] and firing is faster.

wouldve been nicer if the segments were juxtapozed.

and i think ive been dying more in UC [during those split second on-screen button life/death sequences] due to me pressing the Z button on the nunchuk instead of the A button on the remote because its way easier and seems more natural.

Just picked this up this afternoon and spent about an hour with Link's Crossbow Training.

I was one who was upset with the way the trigger arrangment was in the design. I was wrong. Having the shoot trigger up front is perfectly balanced and feels great. I'm a tad surprised there's not options in the software thus far to swap it around, but rest assured, it does not feel awkward at all to use the B trigger for shoot.

It's so much steadier than holding the remote one-handed that unless you need to do some nunchuk stuff, I can't imagine wanting to use the remote apart from the zapper for light gun games.

Link's Crossbow training is a good time. Just further fuels my desire to restart Twilight Princess after I 120 Mario.

If you have any interest in light-gun esque games, I can't imagine not spending the $20 on this. I got it at Best Buy; they're not doing the $5 up charge that other places seem to be.

EDIT to add: Looks like the US version of Ghost Squad allows you to swap the B and Z firing triggers. So, as I said, not a huge deal like I thought it would be, but at least comapnies are recognizing that people may want the option.

Just got mine tonight! These are pretty awesome! (These = I bought 2 Zappers)

Link's Crossbow Training is basically what I expected. I'm not all excited about it, but it's a good time. I would of rather them made it just a quick & easy on rails shooter game overall..but it's ok! Pretty fun :)

I def can't wait for other games to come out. I wouldn't mind some WiiWare for this too!

:applause: for this! But I just really enjoy lightguns (even if this technically isn't one!)

No one has these at all, except GameStop, that was my last resort. When I get to the register I have 2 in hand (one for me and my brother), then some managerial type lady comes up to my cashier and says "OH WE AREN'T SELLING THOSE NOW, come back Friday" at the top of her lungs. So I get screwed and extra pissed off at a GS I'm already pissed off at.

Whatever I guess I'll order online since I'm not going to any B&M's for the next few months now.

I'm eternally grateful that I have a GS run by mostly normal human beings. It's nuts that they'd (apparently) have something out on the floor for people to buy and then not let them buy it. I think a call to the district manager is in order. It might not do anything but man I would've been furious if that had happened to me.

Picked one up at BB last night for $19.99, they had loads.

It's pretty good, the zapper feels solid, and Links Crossbow training is nicely put together.

I'm interested to know how it will play with Resi 4, anyone tried it yet ??

Damn, I wish Best Buy was open today but their website says they're not. Was hoping to pick up two Zappers/Links Crossbow Training and Ghost Squad and use my gift card from Super Mario Galaxy. Guess I'll have to find another way to get some Thanksgiving multiplayer goodness going.

Going tomorrow morning is like signing my own death warrant and chances are by the time I get there it'll be gone anyhow. Maybe I'll just order them online via Best Buys website and try and get them by next weekend.

EDIT: On second thought maybe I'll just drop in the store a few times next week to check if they have it. Shipping charges are $13 total for all the items, lol.

Used some leftover store credit from a local shop to pick one up last night. Now I just have to get back home to where, you know, the Wii is.

On that note... in case it hasn't been mentioned, Target was selling it for $24.99, and so was my local place. Probably already mentioned, but figured I'd throw it out there.

Hmm...BB has the package marked at $19 (well $18.99) and if you use the metheod sasuke talked about ($5 off gamepro coupon), you can get it for $14 w/o tax

I got mine at the 2nd TRU I went to. There was a ton of traffic on the way to my parents house so any time I had a chance to get off the freeway I took. I ened up going to like 5 places. None of them had it in stock, the guy at Bestbuy didn't even know what I was talking about.

And I wasn't going to pay EB's mark up. But at the second TRU they had like 3 of them on the floor next to the wii remotes.

I don't have my Wii here at my parents house but my buddy lives close by and I'm dying to try it on his Wii.

Does anyone know how well it works on the shooting games in Wii Play and Wario Ware ?

Enjoyed the game. Gun is fine enough.

I've gotten at least silver on every level and gold on 3. I guess that's my goal for playing the rest of the game, though that I knocked out that much in about 2 hours of playing is a bit disappointing. I guess finding any potential easter eggs is something, too.

Got the Zapper today, and tried it out. I can have some stupid fun with this thing. :D Honestly, it feels great, and at least I started to not mind the trigger being in the front. Played through Link's Crossbow Training and Arcade mode in Medal of Honor. Good times. I'm terrible in LCT though, except for that last stage in the third level. Only level I got a gold in :D
