...How long did it take you to figure that one out? :whistle2:s
You mean that it was a pro-Obama thread, or that people are crazy?

I had never ventured into that thread, because I figured it would be retarded (it was). I did a search for a certain word, and that was one of the threads that came up (out of like two).

I've always known people are crazy.

I tell you the real kicker. I was just able to buy this kind so I figured I'd surely need them for the next dungeon, but no they don't work here. Miyamoto is a dick.
I'm going to laugh when prmononoke's sig words come true, and then he gets hurt and disabled.
Good thing I'm not poor!

And that I have insurance!
Good thing I'm not poor!
Are you rich enough to live by yourself and your savings for the rest of your life? Even if you are, it's a good thing you only think about yourself.

I mean what sort of POS bomb bag can only hold ONE type of bomb at a time? How does this make the game more fun? I imagine they do it that way so the randomly dropped bombs will be the proper type or some dumb crap like that.

Except when you get hurt and the costs are too much to handle even for a "not poor person" and your insurance refuses to cover because of some contractual loop-hole, and I am sure you won't take them to court because you believe government has no place to tell a private (the company you for or the insurance company) how to run their business or review/reform company policies.

See, here's what you fail to understand (not just you, but many others).

It's not that I, or people like myself, don't think/care about others. We just don't believe we should be forced to give up our money for the sake of others.

I have no problem donating to charity. I have no problem giving to the poor. It's when you grab my paycheck, squeeze out a rather large percentage of my earnings, and then give it away. That's the problem. It's forced charity, which makes it no longer a charity.

Makes sense.

A little too much sense.

Exactly.

I believe in a free market and a non-intrusive government.

And who the fuck are you, anyway?

Thank you, woohoo.

You always got my back.

So you believe that all police, libraries, roads, schools should be privately owned and/or only financed by donations?

What do you suggest we do about disabled people? Old people who can't afford medication?
The primary function of the government is to protect your property. Of course we should have police.
You cannot have a country without infrastructure, so we need roads.

Privately owned schools with competition from publicly run government schools would raise the bar in terms of education in the US by introducing competition.
So you believe that all police, libraries, roads, schools should be privately owned and/or only financed by donations?
Police: Enforcing intrusive laws that shouldn't be there in the first place. At the very least, the law enforcement budget needs to be drastically reduced to a very minimal amount.

Libraries: I'm not quite why everyone in my city should be able to get free 3-week rentals of Hollywood films and popular TV shows.

Roads: What does this have to do with welfare?

Schools: Privatization would create competition and bring costs down.

So to answer your question: Yes.

Actually since you believe that...screw the loop-hole scenario...

Since you believe that, then they just refuse to pay for your health care and there would be nothing could do about it. They are a private company and are held to no enforcement by the government.

I am some dude that read your statement, and disagreed with it, and decided to respond.

How on earth could you possibly type that up without laughing in disbelief? You honestly think enough public school kids would care enough about a nearby private school's good marks to "up their game"?

Parents might.

I can see why you don't see the importance of Libraries.

Roads are a form of socialism/welfare. They are paid for by government; using taxes that you so despise.

I can't wait to take my Math class that is sponsored by Taco Bell and Nike Shoes.

Police aren't the problem, the excess of laws are.

Libraries are conducive to an educated populace, which is necessary.

Roads: yeah, seriously.

Schools: yep.

Check out Japan's education system. It's often more competitive to get into high school than it is to get into all but the most prestigious of colleges.

So I go see some quack of a doctor today. I sat in the waiting room for over 2 hours. My appointment was at 11:30 didn't see him till about 2:00. He comes in looks at my foot says keep it wrapped and elevated and here wear this boot. Then left. (he was in a hurry  ) Didn't take any additional x-rays, didn't even examine my foot. Which I'm fine with I just need this quack to sign my workman comp papers and that's it.

But fuck his boot I told him I'd take it, but as soon as I get home I'm taking it off.

Maybe i read that wrong, if i have please correct me. We already have privately owned schools and government run public schools. So i don't quite understand the "would" part of your statement.
Check out Japan's education system. It's often more competitive to get into high school than it is to get into all but the most prestigious of colleges.
You cannot even begin to compare the US to Japan. I'll give you one major reason: illegal Mexicans and education.

Welfare is a form of protection (but wait are we only supporting protection to property and not people?). Ok so everyone agrees roads and police are important....how are we suppose to pay for those without taxing people's wages? What if I don't believe in public police and don't want to pay taxes for it? Why not make them private since free-market is so great and you trust it more than elected officials?

Alright sorry for messing up your thread.

No enforcement? I never said that. You sign a contract, both parties are bound by the terms of the contract.
I'd say so.

You brought in the crazy!
I always do that!

I use my library on a regular basis. I certainly appreciate the fact that there are libraries (not a proper noun, my fascist friend).

You must not understand the difference between taxes and welfare.

Your last statement is so ridiculous that I won't even address it. What part of Taco Bell and Nike screams "charity?"
Police aren't the problem, the excess of laws are.

Agreed on the first point, and it's what I meant, if that wasn't clear.

Agreed on the second. I just don't see a reason for the Sopranos to be at the library.

And it looks like you acknowledged we both agree on the last two points.

All the illegals I know are pretty smart.
As in, top 5 in high school smart.

Yesssssssssssssssssssss. You listen to the CunninLynguists at all...I can't rememba.

I wish I could wear it!

It's an XL though, and I wear a Medium (although that varies, but this is huge).

It was huge at first, but its not pre-shrunk so it came down to a L.

I have this Kratos shirt thats pretty crunk, but I can't even wear it cause the shirt is huge, but the sleeves are TINY. Shit squeezes my muscles.
---
Fa sho, wahoo. Haven't listened to 'em in a while, but I did bust out Kno's mix of The Black Album a few nights ago when a buddy was here. :p

You've met quite a different crowd than I.

The ones I knew in high school could speak but a lick of English, wore cheesy hair nets (gang? I don't care honestly), rubbed themselves up against foul-mouthed girls, and didn't go to class. And yes. I knew them.

As silly as it seems, i think that movies and television shows belong in a library. Entertainment is a part of a nation's culture, something that actually is studied. I even had an American pop culture class at my college.
