Little Big Planet - Gen. Discussion & Info

Looks so good Rolento. I posted about your levels at gaf.

And holy crap at that Gradius video.
How did they hide that chain?

That Gradius video is insane.

Makes me feel like the 12 hours I worked on finishing my lame first level today was a waste.

Anyone wants to be nice and give it a pity play, that'd be cool. It's my first ever level, and I worked on it pretty much all day non stop to finish it and had been working on it since last Wednesday in bits and pieces.

It's called LittleScaredPlanet (by samHain78) and it was supposed to be done by Halloween, but it really took me awhile to get it done. I made it for my girlfriend to play (hence all the control tutorials), then when I finished it, she didn't want to play it, and just made me play it while she watched (FUN!) sigh.

I'll check it out in a bit. :D

EDIT: I can't find it!

I don't even know how you move up to the higher pages on cool levels thingy...

the gradius level dosn't use a chain... it's a rocket. I still don't exactly get how it follows you, but my guess is that it may be attached to the rocket...?

also thanks for the rep dallow :) saw the posts on GAF :p

Yah... that gradius level is sickening... Why Japan WHY!?

But, I think it is a jet pack. I think there sackperson is behind the wall with a jet pack on surrounded by something grabbable, so no matter what, when you press R1 you are going to grab it which triggers the fire mechanism. Crazy lobsters though...

ANYWAYS, my Bears Crazy Maze (version 2) is up! Come try it! It's crazier! My first shot at making a minigame style of game... have pitty. Is there a way to update an already published level? Cause I just made it a seperate publish, but i'd rather it just take the place of my old version without losing all the plays/hearts.

I cannot find it either =( So hard to find things. There should be a Creator search option.

It's based on rating (stars), not plays/times completed/hearted. It stinks that you can't see a level's overall rating too. The globe is a nice idea, but I'd like to see it in list form sometime soon.

I finished Episode 1 of Food Chronicles of the 80th Century, except for the text/story parts (but I know where I'm going with it). I need to know how to setup level keys so I can put one in at the end of Episode 1 (for Episode 1's level) so you can unlock Episode 2 and so forth.

It's a short level...with padding. Really easy too. The levels from that point forward get a lot larger. Well...Episode 2 doesn't expand it much.

When you pick to publish your level from your moon, pick the spot to publish it on the world over your old version. It saves all the plays and hearts and just adds a comment that the level was republished in the comments section. That's what I did anyway.

I think he hides the chains by placing the begining of the the level at the very top, and the new jetpacks at the lowest possible areas. You can see them drop from below occasionally in that video. I am pretty sure he has a motion sensor door closing on that ship behind the glass wall... which explains how he keeps you in there... but I could be wrong. I That level is really amazing, the concept of using the grab to shoot glass "laser" is priceless.

I so had to heart that Gradius level. Absolutely awesome.

He (search RRR30000) also has a Tetris level that I had some fun with.

How do you get the prize bubles stuck under the giraffe in the 1st level on Africa county near the beginning?

If you need your levels hearted make sure to try and join other people in hearting levels, www.ps3trophies.com is a good place to look for help

It's a sticker trigger I believe, I can't recall which one it is,but if you bring up your popit menu. Look under triggers via stickers and decorations, the trigger should show up if you have it. I'm 100% and aced for that level, if you need help just msg me on PSN.

On a sidenote, does anyone know where the brown cowboy poncho is?

So my Kratos code RIPPED! I tried countless combinations and nothing worked:bomb:. I have the Nariko code. I'm still confused about how it works but can I still give the Nariko code, up to 4 others, to other people even though I already used it once?? If so I want that Kratos costume bad and if anyone is willing to trade that would be great, thanks!

I believe you can't share via codes, you'd have to do the same process as gamesharing, and by that, I mean share log-in info for both parties who want to share the LBP costumes.

If you're still interested, I have the Kratos costume, so I'd be happy to share for the Nariko costume.

Really?? I thought up to 5 redemptions per code. Not per PSN account. I've got spare Kratos codes but I'm not giving them up if I can't D/L Nariko on my own PSN account.

Yea. From everything that I've read, the code is redeemable only on one console. The only way to share after that is to allow someone else to log into the account that the code was redeemed on and DL the content that way.

I heard quite a number of horror stories about ripped code. What's the proper way to reveal the code anyway? Do you scratch the silver coating with a coin? Or are you supposed to peel the plastic layer off?

Well I tried scratching first cause it looked like a scratch off but when I did there was a plastic film on it. The edges started to peel so I did and....the last 4 digits came off with the film. I pieced some of it together but I guess I was wrong. I tried for hours trying different combination's but nothing.

Pm sent Inf^Shini

I saw the clear film, but it's obviously a scratch off.

I mean, 1 sec with a penny should reveal that. Sucks though.
Ask GS for another one, they have a million of them. At least the ones around here do.

It says right in the fine print that the code is only usable once, but shareable on up to five machines.

I think you have to use the rose sticker.

Unless you're talking about the bubble that's stuck under the piece of land- then you have to jump all the way into the background and walk around. It's a little tricky.

It says that on the blue Kratos only card. On the yellow Kratos, Minotaur, Medusa one it says this.

Your Crazy Maze v 2 is awesome. I really like your other one as well, though I died on the boss (i suck)

Not sure why no one can find mine. I tweaked it a little (for 2 hours, I'm really slow at this game) and republished it, LittleScaredPlanet (author SamHain78) so maybe try again? Or send me a friend request if you want. (I got your friend request DarkNessBear)

I cant seem to Ace the first level. Even though I can now get past that large hole. I get through w/o loss of life and still dont get the extra awards.

If anyone wants to attempt swapping used codes PM me. My Kratos, Medusa, Minotaur for your used Nariko. I want to try this without loading a user account.

will we ever be able to add our own custom music to the created stages, or am I just dreaming,.... I got some stages Im thinking about, but I'd like to set a certain song for each stage.

What's up... check out my custom SackBoys.

What do you guys think?

The ninja's face has alot of detail in terms of skin texture and shadows... too bad it doesn't show up well through my camera phone... anyway I think it's alot better than the premade all black ninja skin. The Leonidas mustache, I had to make myself, the beard though is Kratos' colored black. Also I added some blood on the blades of Leonidas and the ninja.

Oh great! Thanks a ton! (BearsCrazyMaze is now at version 2! Go try it! Made the maze harder and added a lot more aesthetics and a mascot)

And I played your level, really well done. I wasn't expecting that level of polish.

Sorry about declining the LBP invites, I was engrossed in messing with a level. I really screwed mine up, but it provided me with some laughs as I did :/

I loved the mascot!

Thanks. In retrospect (and after playing a few other user created levels) mine is way too easy. I made it really easy because I was making it so my girlfriend would be able to play it (which she then refused to after I worked on it all day Sunday) and not throw stuff at me. I think it's still fun, just way too easy. I spent way too much time with camera angles, lighting and that skeleton and eyeball "puzzle" and not enough on actual traps. Oh well. My second one will be Ghosts and Goblins hard.

I played a bunch of levels last night that give you easy trophies and even though I have repeatedly said I don't care for them, it was rather funny to see so many popping up so quickly.

If anyone wants about 4-6 trophies in quick succession and can find the level, look up Trophies Oiram, as that level will give you a good bunch of trophies in one shot.

I FINALLY got LBP yesterday. I've only been able to play 2 levels, though. School is really slowing me down with exams and junk. I hope to play it a lot more today.

You should throw in some big graphics that say flattering things about her the whole time- then she'll feel bad about it. Or you could really lay it all out there and throw in a proposal.

I was playing last night, and I had 4 people in my pod. There was some guy in our group that kept screwing around. He wouldn't get on the platforms for the "race" sections of the game (which cases them to not start), and when everyone else died, he would just sit around slapping stickers on the wall.

then at some point, we were all in a tight spot on an escalator, and he slapped 2 of the guys off into the below us fire.

(sorry about the double post)

I wish more people would test out their levels and think them over before publishing them. I've ran into far too many that are either too simple or can easily get you stuck in a section or the objective or path is not clear it seems like there really isn't one.

Who was the leader? Someone should have kicked him, and if he was the leader, just take the other guys and create your own party. I've had groups that screw around too, but we do it with love :), and we all take the liberty of getting everyone back in the group before venturing off to another section of the level. I guess I'm just fortunate...

I was the leader, but him and another player appeared to be on the same console, and I didn't want to boot both of them. I went offline shortly after that match, so it wasn't a huge deal. It was kind of funny, but it was growing old by the end of the level.
How do you jump the big hole on the first level where the bridge collapses and you have to exploade youself?
There is a spot for a sticker at the beginning of the level that triggers a bird to fall over the hole.
