Nope, It's proven that the Japanese Costumes don't work for the US version of the disc.

So then some of you are also having issues? I mean, I doubted it could be JUST me, since I can play GTA IV just fine. But every couple times when I try playing this online....it's a horrible experience.

Although, the times I have played online, I've racked up a buttload of trophies thanks to the many 'trophy builder' levels where people put insane amounts of those ummmm bubbles that give you points in the level, as well as a ton of game creator stuff in one level.

I offered to share my used Kratos for a Used Nariko. I wanna at least try swapping used codes without giving out PSN info. Everything is worth at least one attempt.
 
Anybody up for getting some 2x 3x and 4x stuff? I suck with the stickers stuff as well for putting it on something. I'm looking to get all the Costumes really. Just let me know Via PM Or a PSN Message! thanks guys!

If i had either to trade i would...i orignally had the kratos one, but my girlfriend was cleaning our house and threw away the card by mistake...so i am SOL :(

Just for clarification, what Japanese costumes are you referring to?

Because I'm currently wearing my ninja costume, and I've also worn my Samurai one.

The Japanese PSN offers DLC of the Pumpkin Head, Space Suit, and via pre-order bonus the Ape Escape character.

These have not been released to america yet, and the japanese files do not work with the american software.

Today's update will add the space suit and the pumpkin head to the US PSN. I'd imagine that the Ape Escape costume will be a 1.99 download later.

Ahh ok. Sorry I was previously thinking Japanese themed costumes, not DLC.

That explains why I've played with people thath ad the pumpkin and space suit. I think they are both overrated, but that's just me. If those two are all we'll get today then I'll probably pass.

They're free and only available for 2 weeks. Why would you pass?

This weeks releases will be free- as kind of a "Sorry the game was delayed and the servers are broken" / early adoptors gift.

In the coming weeks, the costumes they release will be .99 a piece, and special costumes like Solid Snake are going to be 1.99.

It wouldn't surprise me if they try to sell the Kratos, Nariko, and Ape Escap Costumes down the line. But they might not- it'll be interesting to see how many "rare" costume pieces they will make.
 
Well, they're charging for that 1st week rare T-Shirt. $5 in Japan and about the same in Europe. From what I can tell, we'll get the spacesuit and the pumpkin head free, but the shirt will cost you if you want it. Personally, I'm going to skip on it.

As a side note, I'm on just about every night from 9-12 in the west coast. Hit me up with an invite if you want to play.
 
From what I've read, the shirt is only available for purchase for about a week. After that, you're SOL. The PS blog had a post detailing the plans.

It seems that there is going to be stuff you can buy or download for free indefinitely. Then there's going to be rare, limited time only stuff that they'll either give you for free or for whatever they want to charge.

Personally, I don't think I'll be spending any cash on any of these. They'll have to put something up that I really must have, and a t-shirt and Snake aren't doing it.

It causes a sense of urgency and tricks your brain into buying it.
 
It makes everyone need to get it right away becuase they don't want to be the only ones without it. Even if they only charge $1 or $2 bucks for it, they make a quick thousand dollars by throwing up a silly, new costume and creating a false sense of urgency.

I was just on the PSN store and didnt see them anywhere or any DLC for LBP at all.

Am i missing it somewhere?

I was playing a few levels and there seemed to be a picture or camera flash. What is that? An effect or is it forcing me to take a picture?

nothing is out yet...

but lol @ the camera flash. yeah that happens at some stages, it's like when you are on a rollercoaster ride and u get your picture taken. i'm not sure why they have it there, if it's to capture your scary moments or if it's there to scare u and possibly mess u up?!? :x
 
If you go to the sitckers in the popit and flip over to the pictures page, you'll see the picture in there. It is just like getting you picture taken on a rollercoaster. You can delete it if you really want to.

I hate when you hear things breaking and you have no idea where... and I hate the "This object is getting to complex". So annoying.

I totally agree with the premise he's arguing. $5 for a shirt is beyond absurd.

But homeboy's got a fuckin' vendetta against this title that borders on stalking, IMO.

I hate accidentally highlighting a whole object and watching it fall apart when it all becomes "un-glued"...then having to glue it back together.

Or how about when an object gets "stuck" and you have to unglue it...it happened a few times when I was setting something up to launch in a catapult (the rock I created just kept getting glued for no reason).

Oh my god I hate that. Or when you want to copy a certain part (IE a rotating light) and it copies the whole entire land piece...

And is there a way to make a rope or a pivot(?) perfectly straight? I hate having to eyeball it... It's also annoying when you are placing things down and your sackboy gets in the way and how you cannot edit something if its behind something else, so you have to remove the entire piece in front of it to just edit that one thing... AND I hate when you place a trigger and the little connector is in the terrain so you cannot grab it..

FIXES:
-Create a list feature that lists every item in your level ex. (trigger 1, wench 3, box 1) just like 3d modeling programs do. And let you name each item you put down (IE "Boss Growl Trigger")
-Fix the rewind feature, it doesn't seem to work right sometimes. And it's hard to tell how far you rewound(sp?)
-Make the sackboy in create mode un-editable, unless checked "editable", so you can place objects through your sackboy.
-Isolate button; hides every other object but the one you have selected
-Make its so when you click a trigger you have an option to "select trigger wire"

Hope little big planet 2 has some of these features.
 
And are they seriously charging for just ONE shirt? I have a hard time believing it, it has to give you something added.

Cause I could literally make that shirt in the game right now. All it is, is a pink squish and a white tree. And there is already a tshirt... so wtf are you paying for?

Just use the rewind feature (left on the d pad) to go back to before you unglued it.

Sometimes you cannot detach an item without unglueing everything else attached. Its a weird bug... so you either have to settle with that item being stuck to it, or reglue everything.

Save the level every few steps? It may be less of a PITA then redoing everything.

I was messing around with the level creation tools and figured I need to take the rest of the turtorials lol. I did publish one little basic level, mostly to share my warhawk sticker... and to get you the 100x and 1m points... yay.
 
anyone know once i heart a level or author is there a place i can find that has a list of my hearted levels/authors so i can go straight to them
 
Thanks a lot man. Ya, it's loosely based off the game.

Can't wait till its done! I finished the room where we ended at, it's so awesome! Ergh, I hope people like it. I'm waiting to add dialogue/text till the end of the level, I have a rough script in my mind but I want to make sure it works; I'm about 45% complete... I may have to cut it off sooner cause the meter is running high and I want to get it out soon. Maybe by Sunday i'll have it published...

It is in the new release section instead of the logical add-on section.
