Trophy whoring, or achievement boosting, is fine. Use forums such as these to set up boosting sessions if you must. Don't feel bad about that, it's appropriate to do.

Is there some trick to playing through without dying? Because I don't see how that is even remotely possible on some of those levels (the one with the large rotating wheel with multiple levels for one, but there are others too). That looked to me to be unachievable, which is disappointing. I'm still working on the 100% collection and that is proving a pain, too, since I'm missing 1 or 2 things on several levels.

There is one, though, that maybe you guys can help me with. On the subway level the last item I need is in the upper right section of those rotating plus-shaped objects (there's also a key near there which I have gotten). I can't for the life of me go across or up those to get to that bastard. Any tips?

Yea I know that sucks.

I am in a similar situation though. I sent 3 or 4 messages to some guy asking him to heart me (me as a player) and he didn't even do it...

I've received over 200 messages/friend invites from people that played my Dead Space level... Don't think I've received one "Heart me" message though.

But, if you are going to ask me to be your friend please say you are from CAG or I WONT accept the request.

Is there some trick to playing through without dying? I've gotten all trophies. (except the MGS trophy that requires you to beat that level with 150 paintballs or less... is it possible?)

It's damn hard acing the Bunker, it took me about 20 or so tries. You just have to master the spinning wheel or master the spinning wheel exploit (which can be harder). I did the exploit way and finally aced it... so relieving.

You have to avoid all the enemies and not fire a single shot until the final boss of the stage.

I have all the trophies (+ the MGS ones) except for Play and Create. For the create one, do the level hearts add up across all of your levels, or do you need 50 hearts on one level? The way it's worded confuses me.

I discovered that you did have to kill the first tank thingy, and that is it, the rest you can just jump over or walk around. boom, achievement unlocked.. er, i mean, trophy get.
 
No you don't. You can get to the boss of the stage without firing a single shot (except for the platform required ones). I did it that way myself.

nice, I couldn't jump past the first one, so just wound up killing it, which left me with ample shots remaining for the boss.
 
If you're talking about the 2 big tanks where you start out on a roof, you can just jump down to the right instead of the left.
 
I'm looking for a good co-op partner that can help me with the 2x player levels starting with boom town (god damn this one is hard). I have a few one hundred percents here and there and I've aced every level but I still need a lot of the co-op stuff. My psn is

Yep. Was in a group for the "Kill Rex really fast" achievement, and we hit up the VR mission next. With four people, it's laughably easy.

Also, anyone willing to help me with the Complete a level with four friends and Build a level with another person trophies? Those (and the Share) are the only trophies I have left to get.

Thanks to everyone that helped me out. Now I can return to making vehicles that have no levels to accompany them. I have no idea why I needed a catapult that launches flaming corpses, but I made one.
 
Wow... I just played this one level... I don't know if the guy goes on CAG or what, but it's by Dominik1411 it's called "Unknown Space station" it's basically EXACTLY like mine, except less details and longer. I don't know if I should be flattered or contacting my lawyer.

Kinda sucks getting your ideas raped out of your mind... but, whatever.

yeah, but everyone know's yours was first.

I wanna work on something new, but don't know yet. I think I'll be making once again something not crazy but nice. character based rather than level based. I might go back and clean up my playground some more as well.

Ergh, wish they added the ability to work together. Anyways, I still would like ya to walk through my level and give me feedback. It would help a lot, I haven't worked on it for about a week though... kind of burnt out on LBP. I MAY finish it... it'd help though if I can get some criticism.

Wlogan, I was playing with my son (the one who's in afternoon kindergarten so he stays up till midnight and sometimes a little later like tonight ;)). We got in there a few times but couldn't connect other times. Some of those times it wouldn't join because you only had 1 slot and there was 2 of us of course.

We were a little lost in that VR level - what's the goal for the trophy there? What was weird is that one time you left and we were still able to play it ourselves even though I haven't purchased the MGS levels. I assume it was from that pack, right?

I need to do the 3 friends thing, too, but it woudln't have helped as I don't know who salamando3000 is.

Darknessbear - nice to see you join in. We had just played another level where we needed the x4 to get some stickers and some Japanese dude kept not understanding what we were doing (and wouldn't come over to help until I typed "4X!" "4X!" a bunch of times). Then he left and you came in so I jumped into the subway level to get that item I was talking about earlier during the race portion (we didn't know that 4th person). The funny thing is that my son (who's 6 - playing as the orange guy with the glowing costume) managed to get over there and snag it when I could never do so, so I didn't really need others to help me with that in the end :lol:.

I have PS Eye but I had it muted as it was after midnight and my other son's room is right next to where the PS3 is set up. So no late-night talking for me, unfortunately.

Hey salamando/infinitepez, an easy way to get the team creator trophy is to built a level and then turn on a second controller and maybe just put a sticker somewhere with the player 2 controller and then save the level :)

I did this with a level I had already finished by myself haha. cheap, i know.

Yeah, I discovered last night that you can't even enter create mod with another user online - kicks you out of their pod. Sucks, cause it'd make helping/working with people on their levels a lot easier.

I'm still waiting on a good Contra level. Someone made one, but they really screwed it up. You can't get to the paintgun without dying first.
 
So my boys just informed me that while I was out and about they played a level called "Fartacular" or something like that and it was full of people farting. :rofl:. Not quite as bad as the penis worlds Wombat envisioned but something that seems like it won't last long anyway.

Could be John Davison's level, which he said is just full of buttons that cause fart and burp noises.
 
I played this one level just now, it's on the front page, something with "The Wiggler" in it. What makes the level is the loops. Seriously. I haven't seen it done before, and if you make levels, you've got to see how he did it.

Crappy, spoilerific explanation:
I'm pretty sure he uses an emitter, but I'm unsure of how he got it to be placed like he did.
 
I don't know if this is the right place to be trophy-whoring, but I think it might be ok.

After seeing a bunch of other people do it, I created 18 empty levels for people to quickly slog through to work on getting the gold 'Share' trophy (the one that requires playing 150 levels, etc). So, if anybody is working on that, you can hit up my levels.

If anybody wants to go and heart me and those levels, I'd appreciate it as I'm hoping to get the 'Create' trophy eventually.

I also have one called 'Ni Ni Level' which my 7-year-old daughter thought up and I built with her. A Ni Ni is some imaginary animal she's come up with, so she was pretty stoked about it. Level is not that great though.

p.s. - that damn VR Mission trophy is tough.... I guess it's easier with more people since you can theoretically survive longer, but I tried with just one friend and the closest we got was within a couple hundred points after about 5-6 tries.
 
Back from vacation folks! Thanks to everyone who tried my level and double thanks to those who may have hearted. It's still not enough for the trophy, but knowing that those who play my level actually like it is a lot better! I've made a lot of changes to it since I got back and it should run better than before. If you do try it, let me know what you think of it.

And congrats on the IGN notice DarkNessBear. I've played the level several times and it's nice to see it out there on the top of every list.

I did have a question on the MGS pack while I'm at it. Have the saving issues been solved by deleting community stuff from your profile? Thanks for the answer!
