"LIVE Diamond Card" Expires 2008 with a new Annual Fee (credit card required)

darthbudge... mine took awhile to come. I don't exactly remember the total time on mine, but I can say I was surprised to get it when it finally came.
 
I'm still at school, but my dad told me I got something in the mail today from "Xbox Live Diamond Program" and I started cracking up. Does anyone actually accept this thing? I had completely forgotten about it.

Haha. Nope. None of the deals are anything special. I just remembered I had this the other day. It is cool to have your gamertag on it.
 
Ordered mine more than a year ago and it never showed up.

PS: Back when I worked at CC someone brought one of these in because I guess you could get some discount with it, my manager looked at it and told the guy we would not except it even though it said something about circuit city right on the card.

I hate you so much, Hardee's (same menu as Carl's Jr) stopped carrying the Western Bacon Thickburger three years ago and hasn't brought it back. I'm guessing they will eventually but until that time I'm a shell of a man. A thin shell.

If you read below your gamertag on the card, there is an expiration date. I got this card when it first was announced, and it expired. I automatically got my 2nd one, and now I'm on my 3rd one. I only use it at Hollywood Video and coupons that sometimes arrive in the mail for some free fat food at some fatty fast food place.

Yea last time it took about 4 months- this time only three weeks for my second one.

Don't feel bad. You're not missing much. I've had mine for almost half a year now and I still haven't found any use for the damn thing.
 
Only uses I've found are (and these are pretty good):
- 10% off at Target.com, unlimited. Shipping kills it for small items, but I've gotten some large things there (including presents that had to be shipped anyway) and saved some $$
- Free meat queso at La Hacienda Ranch (Dallas eatery). $6 value (appetizer)!

Actually, I just re-updated the OP. It runs out in 2008 for current members depending upon their card expiration in 2008. My card runs out 8/08, so after that to I'd have to resign up with the annual fee.


No new sign-ups until March, and the annual fee applies for those users right away.

Mine expires 1/09, so I assume I'm safe until then? It's not like I'll really even use it, but just in case.

I think it took 6 months for me to get my card..then I ended up changing my name. :lol:

First off, I would feel like such a douche goin somewhere & whippin out the XBL Diamond card! Regardless, discounts are always nice..but NOW we have to pay for it?! This is insane!! :lol:

What kills me, is that it's only offered to Gold members.. ya know.. the people whom already pay! Well whatever then!
 
How about I just flush $7 down the toilet and we call it even?

This was supposed to be a perk of buying the $50 gold membership. Somebody's going to get fired at MS for this. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Haha I've had mine for a year and a half now I think and mine says expires 2/08. I used it like a couple of times, hell most of the times I went to Arbys or Quiznos I just showed the coupons, as they didn't need to see the card and most likely were perplexed about the card, and that was good enough. No way would I pay for the card, yea ridiculous. I'll just print off the coupons for free.^^ Oh and I'm a Gamefly member so I don't need the rental coupons.
 
I have had the damn thing from all the way back to when the started sending them out. I have yet to even use mine. I don't know even where it is at. They sent me a new one and I just looked at it and said what the hell is this. Both are some place but I don't know where and never really plan on using them. I just got it just to get it. I don't plan on renewing it if I have to pay.
