I remember there being a discussion about the Bioshock DLC packs in this thread last time they went on sale- what was the consensus on that?
Minerva's Den is possibly the best DLC I've ever played of any game. It's not on sale, but it's well worth $10. Unless you're an achievement whore, don't waste your money on any of the multiplayer DLC. The Trials were OK and kind of interesting, though, but if you hated the gathers in the game you might not like it.

But I'm biased, because I hated the multiplayer. But even if you love it, you'll rarely (if ever) get to play the DLC maps unless you get a group together in advance due to the way the DLC is implemented.
Did we find out if perfect dark was going on sale anytime soon? :)
Nothing has indicated Perfect Dark will be on sale. Unfortunately, Battlefield 2 won that vote, and nothing indicates Microsoft will give us those other games on sale anytime soon.
Sorry Shrike I'm a huge Bioware fan but I have to agree with this. FYI for those that don't know, this is in the Indie Games section. It's a turn-based RPG with strong influences of the NES Dragon Warrior games, but with current humor. References to other RPG's/action games like Zelda and Mass Effect for example.
I've heard that from other people, and I think I pulled down the demo for it. Guess I'll have to give it a try and see if I agree with that assessment.
New XBLA marketplace website is up and it's definitely glitchy... it also seems to have broken some/all of the links in the OP :)
Broken like a twig in a hurricane. I can't even do anything in the games section. Let's hope they fix it and quickly.

I kno rite. Some people are trying to get their meat on for 800 points!

The demo for Costume Quest is up, for those interested.

Yeah, noticed that this morning. Hopefully everything will be tweeked back to how it was.

I highly recommend Breath of Death as well. It totally won me when one of the main characters started singing a parody of the Pokémon theme song. The game is just rich with RPG references, spoofs, and jabs.

"It appears you've found a glitch in the system.
Sorry. We were, uh... a little bit distracted playing Halo: Reach. We will work on fixing this right away."

Damn right. The whole site is glitched.
Links appear to be working again.

Dream Chronicles came out today as well for 800 MSP. I will add it to the OP
Dream Chronicles appears to be a lazy port of a PC game. I actually got stuck early on in the demo, where you're trying to match all the animals to the panes of glass. I couldn't find the bird.

Thanks for the heads up. I actually really, really enjoyed the BS2 MP, but if it's one of these cases where I'll have to actually get groups together just to play the DLC, I'll pass.

Yeah, it's a heartbreaker. I also really liked the multiplayer, and the new maps looked great, but I never got to play a single legit match on one of them, only organized boosting sessions. :p

Yeah I like hidden object games. Wii has the yard sale one and that is excellent. This game blows. the controls suck and its a port of a 3 year old pc game. I wouldn't have even purchased this if it was 400.
So was it confirmed or not if the meat boy would work? If the gears 2 dlc does and wasn't a dotw this should too since its basically the same thing.
It says right in the OP that all arcade games and DLC/add-ons count regardless of if they are on sale or not. Xbox Support confirmed it via Twitter. Someone in this thread got the idea that the DotW doesn't count and now this gets asked every page or so. The OP does a great job with this thread so I would trust the information there.

There was another promotion around the holidays last year where you got points back if you spent a certain amount and discounted content like the 12 days of holiday deals or whatever it was called all qualified.

Yes. Deny or DMZilla (both MS employees in the know) said those will count

FYI: All the links should be working. If we are still getting errors after tomorrow (when MS will likely have worked out all the Xbox.com switch glitches) let me know.
I'm 80 points short of 2400 and I'm not planning on buying anything else this month. Suggestions for ANY 80 point add-on?
FYI, Indie Games and Avatar Marketplace purchases don't count towards the rebate. Only XBLA Games or DLC from the "Game Add-ons" category count towards the 2400 point requirement

Yeah, I missed that until someone pointed it out.

Grabbed Costume Quest, just need to spend 800 more points to be eligible for the rebate. Costume Quest is awesome by the way. There's some hilarious writing, and the gameplay is quite addicting.
I'm thinking about picking up the Mega Man games, have they ever gone on sale that I missed?
Mega Man 10 went on sale at one point for 400.
I'm thinking about picking up the Mega Man games, have they ever gone on sale that I missed?
MM 10 has gone on sale in the past. To my knowledge, only MM9 on PSN has gone on sale.
MM 10 has gone on sale in the past. To my knowledge, only MM9 on PSN has gone on sale.
That is correct. MM9 has never been on sale on XBL. MM10 was on sale in July for 400 MSP.

so this month i got the 2 me2 dlcs on sale, and gow2 dlc sale, for a total of 1200ms points. i then decided to buy the newest me2 and borderlands dlc, bringing the total to 3200ms points. the way i see it, after the rebate i will have spent 400pts on each piece of dlc, which is the cheapest they would have been on sale anyway.

Got Dragon Age: Origins for $15 today and might be able to (if the lazy employees decide to run my credit this time instead of refusing it) get Awakenings for $15 too.... Now I just need a Dragon Age sale on DLC (wasn't it part of the people's choice week and got voted off?) to make it a much better deal then the GotY version.

Yeah, it was an option but the Battlefield DLC ended up winning the vote.

picked up the 3 Mass Effect 2 DLC for 1760 and then got Scott Pligram for 800. Bing Rewards got me many of these points so I ended up spending like 1000 points

D'oh! Had Risk Factions and Snoopy been on sale one day eariler I would have had my last needed purchases right there. I guess I'll get the ME 2 DLC that wasn't on sale and just have it all then...

Snoopy was a lot of fun Io. The DLC pack is 400 pts also, so can basically get the game and dlc for what the game normally costs. Can always buy the DLC pack for 400 in October and have it go towards your 2400.
I remember there being a discussion about the Bioshock DLC packs in this thread last time they went on sale- what was the consensus on that?
To comment on the Protector Trials, unless you REALLY hate the gathers, this content is easily worth the $3. The restricted weapon/plasmid/tonic loadouts for the various trials add a lot of variety and force you to really work with limited resources and get creative with your defensive setups (something that was lacking from the main game, IMO).

Hell, one of the trials is no weapons, only plasmids, but you get the tonic that restores life/eve when you stand in water. That was a fun trial.

Or the trial when you get weaker weapons but the headshot bonus tonic. More difficult, but fun.

So, yeah, some fun content and 100 achievement points for $3. Definitely worth it.

Of course, they'll have Blade Kitten and Snoopy on sale AFTER the 800 point promotion. I'll have spent 2000 points as of today and am not sure what else I'm interested in.

Just buy anything to get you to 2400, it will basically be free.

I had enough points with the MW2 packs - one I got on sale for 600, the other I had bought a few days earlier when it was 1200. D'oh! I also picked up Scott Pilgrim, but also picked up a couple of Borderlands DLC packs that are on sale when I discovered that the Borderlands GOTY edition has download tokens too instead of the add-ons on a disc.
